An unremarkable bacon egg and cheese on a bagel and a foam-less cappuccino that looked and tasted more like plain old American coffee with milk for $12.30 when it all should've been $7.50 at most. For comparison, a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant and a latte at a Paris Baguette, which is a bakery and superior quality, in an upscale neighborhood near NYC is $12.77 The ambiance is non existent. I wanted to like this place bit it was weird. First off they had not one but two smoke detector alarms beeping. The furniture is outdoor folding tables and someone old China cabinet. It looks crazy inside. I think the space would be adorable with a little effort. Maybe some art. Table cloths. Anything. The food itself was fine. I just could not get over the space. This includes the dirty bathroom. This review was from months ago. I never wrote it because I felt bad. The owner seems nice. Just was hungry one day and wanted the closest thing to my job decided to pop up there and got my fav bacon egg and cheese not bad. Then I get the French toast first time it's was great second time it was ehh its hit and miss honestly. I think it depends on the day cause they have different chefs or maybe he just have his good days and bad. Definitely need a schedule of the good days so I can come then. Very good breakfast. I didn't even realize they existed until I discovered them on Yelp. I would have to physically check them out. I wasn't too impressed with the chai latte that I ordered, but the omelette and home-fries were cooked from scratch; you can tell. New to the area and trying out new breakfast spots. This one will not be visited again. Hole in the wall kind of place but steady stream of customers - dine in, take out, and food deliveries. We waited 35+ minutes for our food, which was two breakfast sandwiches - one on a roll and one on an everything bagel. Bagel was totally soft, despite toast marks, and had no taste or flavor to it. And the sandwich, which specifically needed to be without cheese and ketchup, had both. We saw the person behind the counter take our order and write everything down, but still the sandwich was made incorrectly. Parking on the street is metered, so the wait time was annoying considering we needed to feed the meter to accommodate waiting. And that two breakfast sandwiches shouldn't take 35 minutes to make. Wasn't worth the potential wait to have them remake the wrong sandwich. read more

I have been coming here since their grand opening and their breakfast is very consistent. the butter croissants are very delicious and have a nice variety of refreshments. they also have a selection of lunch specials which is awesome because around that area is very hard to find a nice clean establishment where you can go in sit down and have some good breakfast or lunch. and if you do not eat pork (like i do not), they will not hesitate to modify anything with pork. definitely will continue to support this business. sometimes people demands are ridiculous and expect people to meet their every expectation. read more

I went here in search of coffee and a pastry based on the previous five star reviews. That was a mistake. It was 8:00 in the morning on a Monday - still at the height of rush hour. You've got a train station and a college within a two-block walk. On Earth, that means if you have the word "coffee" in the name of your establishment, your customers can safely expect two things: 1.) Coffee, and 2.) At least one human being manning the counter. I walked in and it was a ghost town. No customers and no one at the counter. After about two minutes, somebody finally came out and asked, "Can I help you?" I responded, "Can I please have a large half decaf/half regular coffee?" "Sorry, no decaf". I waited about two or three seconds for him to add the expected, "I can brew some now if you can wait a few minutes." You know, like a normal person working at a coffee shop would. Nope. Nothing. Dead silence. So, again, at an establishment that calls itself a "coffee shop", there was no decaf coffee available at 8:00 in the morning, and no effort was made to accommodate the request for it. I don't want to hurt this business with a bad review, but the absolute lack of effort in terms of both customer service and, quite frankly, presentation (I can chalk the unpleasant lighting and color up to the budgetary woes of a new business, but jeez, if you're not going to bother putting out muffins that don't look like they'd been baked in a factory two months earlier, don't put out anything at all) will damage this operation more than a dozen bad reviews ever could. Come on, fellas. I want you to succeed. But if you're not going to act like you give a damn, why should anyone else? read more
