We arrived at Stromboli's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria around 4:05 PM on Sunday. The door sign said they open at 4, but the lights were off and no one was inside. We noticed someone sitting around back who said he was also waiting for the manager to show up. Finally, around 4:15, the manager arrived and let us in about 5-10 minutes later. Once inside, things took a turn for the better. My husband ordered the meatball calzone, which he rated an 8.5/10 -- huge portion and packed with flavor. I ordered a small pizza and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was -- great crust, flavorful sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. The service was friendly, and the inside is quaint and clean, giving it that cozy, small-town Italian feel. Despite the late start, the food and atmosphere definitely made up for it. More seating outside, which is where a lot of people migrated to. The service is what I was confused about. I had ordered 3 large pizzas, asked for some cheese/pepper and napkins, and got one napkin! :/ I went back in and requested a few more. There were about 10+ employees on a Friday night and they kept whispering and chit chatting amongst each other. She did a great job of making sure that we (and several other couples) were not lost in the crowd of young athletes (teams) and big family groups. The food was excellent. Maybe we picked the wrong food items but I got the spaghetti bolognese and my husband got the alfredo. It tasted like the sauce came out of a can. Overall, we did not enjoy it unfortunately. The bread did not taste good and was probably some of the worst I have ever had from a restaurant or even a grocery store. We tried to go in and eat some dinner! My husband is a disability veteran with a service dog. They told us that they don't allow any pets in the building! (Service dogs are not pets when they are working) I told her that he was a service dog. She told us we could set out side! It's 48 degrees outside! This was a solid place for pizza in Page. The service was better than anticipated after reading some of the previous Yelp reviews. The pizza is definitely fresh, but it is super greasy and the taste was just average. It was also really expensive ($24!!) for a 16" one topping pizza. It was super loud in there when we went because there were huge family groups with kiddos, but I don't think that's typical for there. read more

They did not skimp on the extra ingredients. The inside was a big slosh of goodness but the dough was not sturdy at all. The calzone fell to pieces right away. It was fantastic! We wish it were closer to Seattle, we would come often!! We especially enjoyed the calzone!

Friday after hiking pulled into town, asked which was the local spot everyone said this was the place, fast service and seating, food was heavenly. I recommend the calzone and personal pizza, Caesar salad was very fresh, and ice cold brew! Friends got a calzone which they recommended and the chicken parm was also a hit. Service was a bit off but they were short handed and it was a busy weekend with the Balloon event. After a long day on the lake we wanted to do an old tradition we haven't done since last summer and get some pizza and wings. We came from the packing lot and didn't see the wait to be seated sign on the way in. While standing inside waiting to be seated we were scolded because apparently waiting to be seated while standing inside is unacceptable. We were rudely ushered outside and told to wait. After another 20 minutes of "waiting to be seated", we decided to leave and try Birdhouse instead (which on a side note had extremely friendly service and fantastic food). We ordered three pizzas, and 2 of them had issues with the crust being rough and doughy in parts. It wasn't just undercooked it was unpleasant to chew and made the pizzas hard to enjoy. We called to let them know and requested either a replacement or a refund. They only refunded one of the two pizzas, and of course, it was the cheaper one. Why did the Chicken Cross the road??.... because this place was busy and the service was poor. However the place next door was out of chicken so we had to return. Upon arriving in Page I noticed this place and the giant crowds outside, I love Italian food and wanted to give it a cheer. They were understaffed and not very nice. We waited patiently for a table and it took a long time to get water and our order taken... even longer for our food. I ordered the meatball calzone and it lacked flavor and was soggy.
