Side of onion rings and "fisherman's platter"
Christina K.

If you're looking for good seafood in the small city of Page, you don't have a big selection of places to choose from, but I'd say that this place tops the list. Located in the corner of the Safeway plaza, it is a small and quaint, little shop that only has one table and a couple bar stool seats, but has outdoor seating as well. Ordered the fisherman's platter which is approx $23 and comes with tempura shrimp, fried clams, calamari, French fries and two pieces of fried cod. We actually swapped out the fries for a side of cole slaw. The plate was delicious. Food was fresh and didn't have an overwhelming batter taste. The fried cod was my favorite. Fresh, hot and flaky and I only wish it came with more! The cole slaw is made to order and it was super tasty. What put this place over the top was the service. I had two dogs with me and the owner Don brought out a pot with water and he also gave us two bowls full of boiled chicken for them to eat. I was super grateful because I was having trouble finding something to feed them! Great service and food and would def recommend.

Two piece fish with chips $9.95 - more than enough food for 1 person, couldn't finish it all

We really enjoyed the food and hospitality at this restaurant. I got the fish and chips and my husband got the fish tacos - which were so big they were more like fish burritos. The fish was good quality and fried nicely. The fries must have been battered with something special because they were the perfect consistency - crispy outside but not hard inside. I ordered the 2 piece fish and chips and it was more than enough food. Actually, I wish I had shared my meal with my husband so we could have had room to try the calamari! The owner is really friendly, but this is more of a fast casual kind of restaurant where you get your own condiments and bus your own table so you can't come here expecting to be waited on hand and foot. If you want more of a service atmosphere, you should probably go next door to the Thai restaurant. We ate outside on the picnic table with our dog and it was really lovely. We came at around 6 pm which was perfect because by 7 it was getting super busy. I'd definitely come here again!

I felt like something a little different tonight. Restaurants are slowly starting to open up again... But I'm still skeptical about eating out with other people right now because of Rona. Fish and chips sounded good so I picked up an order to go and I was pleasantly surprised. Fries were flavored and cooked nicely and the fish was pretty good! Tartar sauce and lemon wedges were nice, I would've also liked to have some malt vinegar to dip the fish in though. Interior looked ok, nothing to be excited about. I'll definitely stop back in again to try their other dishes.

Came here for late lunch while passing through, they serve very good fish and chips here. Located at the same strip mall as Safeway, next to a Thai restaurant. Husband manages this fish and chips place and wife (Thai) manages Thai restaurant. No restroom at this place so he tells you to go inside the Thai restaurant. Felt strange for going inside a restaurant just to use a restroom but they sort of expect us to come in. Almost all the dishes served here is less than $10. Fish they used on the day I visited was Alaskan cod. It comes with tarter sauce but also he brought his own spicy sauce, which was quite tasty. I had crab cakes, decent size, deep fried well, can't normally have crab cakes for less than $10! As small and casual they are, they have a liqueur license and serving ice cold bottled beer. Since they own both here and Thai, you will be surprised with variety of beer from different countries! I ended up having Grand Canyon Amber but was really tempted to try something else. Owner was very friendly and thoughtful. May not be the cleanest place in Page, but for the price and quality of food they serve, good place to stop for a quick meal.

3 piece.

AMAZING Fish n Chips. Try the Cajun Tarter Sauce. Local owned. Best fish n chips in Arizona.

We came to Nemo's Fish and Chips after a long day in Antelope Canyon and were pleasantly surprised with the food and service we received at Nemo's. First off, the restaurant shares a parking lot with Safeway so there is ample parking. They are located next to a Thai restaurant, which according to previous Yelp reviews, looks like is also owned by the same owner. The restaurant itself isn't large - there is a high table area which seats about 5-7 people and a big family-style table. Let's talk about the decorations... they were SO cute! You can tell the owner really put effort into making his restaurant unique and one-of-a-kind. Really loved the vibe they had. Onto the food... we ordered the fish & chips, spicy chicken strips, and spicy wings. Every single one was delicious. Expect flavorful and moist chicken and extremely tender and soft fish. Even the fries were perfectly crispy, with the right amount of crunch. Food was delivered with both regular tartar sauce, spicy tartar sauce (which was my favorite), and ranch dressing. Service was just as great. You could tell the owner really cared about his business and was very attentive to our needs. He took initiative before we were even able to ask. Overall wonderful business and even though we were only in Page for a couple days, we were very happy to support this business! If you're looking for a quick and delicious dinner after a long trek through Antelope Canyon, be sure to stop by Nemo's Fish and Chips!

It is part of a 3 restaurant chain. The food was ok, we liked the Thai food better. Very convenient in a tourist location.

We decided on Gone West Family Restaurant based on their solid reviews and we thought that American food (especially with a Western theme) would be the way to go. When in Rome! We stopped by on a Saturday evening for dinner. Parking is easy in the complimentary lot they share with several other businesses including a Chinese restaurant right next door. Ambiance (4.5/5): Pretty much what I was hoping for. Gone West is a spacious restaurant with one large dining room and another large dining room. The difference? The one in the back has a stage where they play live music. So, if you want a quieter atmosphere, choose the first room. If you want to enjoy some live music while you dine and drink, choose the back room. We sat in the back room. A band played various covers while we were there which we enjoyed. The decor is also awesome with a lot of Western and country decor including John Wayne, Johnny Cash, and more. Service (4/5): The hostess was super nice and accommodating which was a nice way to kick off the experience. Our waiter was pretty solid. He could have stopped by a little more frequently, but overall, did quite well. Drinks (4/5): I went with an Arnold Palmer (they only had pink lemonade unfortunately) so not a lot to right home about. With that being said, they have a decent beer list and several cocktails. Food (5/5): I went with the Chicken fried steak sandwich with spiral fries. CFS on a sandwich?! I couldn't say no. Country fried steak is one of my favorite Southern dishes, but I've never had it on a sandwich before. Check out their concept: breaded steak on a bed of mashed potatoes topped with green onions, gravy, and a fried egg with your choice of side. This was a great sammie! It was quite messy, but given how delicious it was, I didn't mind. The fries were delicious too, and it was a generous portion. The type of portion where you can easily have leftovers. Everything I was hoping for and more in this dining experience. While the food options in Page aren't vast (and as impressive as larger cities), Gone West should be at the top of your list!

Food arrived quick, server was friendly...but disappointing across the board on the meal. Two kids got burgers, hard and lacked flavor. One got bbq pork, just didn't taste great. The country fried steak sandwich had hopes...and honestly may have been the best of what we had. We had all 3 types of fries, each underwhelming - but sweet potato fries probably the best. For the price, food needed to be better. And then took forever to get check to cash out.

Three star reviews: I understand the 3 star reviews some folks have provided. Compared to big city locations it might be below some expectations. But, the food was very good compared to other restaurants in the area we went to. My review: I give it a five star because the food was tasty, the view was great and it was laid back. I'm pretty critical and straight forward in my reviews and I gave "sunset 89" - 5 stars. Was it the best place I've eaten and experienced -no. But for the area and our vacation - it was the best place we ate at. Normally: If this was a place in my hometown I'd probably give it a 3 star. Cost: The cost was a little high. But everything was a bit high in this vacation spot. We split the short rib bowl between two. If you are real hungry then it should easily fill you up but you should not share then.

I was going to get the Loaded Fries for my entree, but they were sold out of the short ribs. We went on a Friday at lunch in March. We had also been there a few weeks before…read more I don't usually leave 5 start reviews, but this restaurant deserves a needle-moving review and I can't think of one thing we didn't like. We shared calamari and we are calamari snobs. I wasn't expecting anything great but it really, really was. The crunchy (fresh?) batter was cooked perfectly crispy and the squid meat was not tough. They served it on top of sliced pepperocini, which we kept using throughout the meal. The sauce was delicious too. Now any chef/cook can have an off day, but if the oil is the right temp and they stick to a prescribed fry time, you should experience the same great result. My husband had the Reuben, and he is a Reuben snob. The thickly julienned corned beef made for a little bit of messy eating, but he said it was good. His sweet potato waffle fries were crisp and not too sweet. They stayed crisp throughout the meal. I believe these were frozen but they chose a great product to offer for one of their sides. No shame in a good, coated, crisp, frozen sweet potato waffle fry. I had the desert dipper (French dip to many of us.) It was topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions and the aus jus was really delicious. Not too salty and with a rich flavor without being oily. Again, a product which I would be shocked it if wasn't purchased, but they made a great choice! It doesn't rely on salt, which many chefs turn to to cover less-than-stellar food. My side was a side salad. Mixed mesclun lettuces (with the occasional wilted, icky looking leafs) that made either this batch of lettuce one day past it's prime or needed to be gone through a little closer. The salad was topped with a generous portion of very fresh cucumbers, carrot shreds, cherry tomatoes, cheese and croutons. I was pleased with the overall quality and presentation of that simple side salad. In our previous trip my husband had the quite-curated turkey sandwich and he said it was very good. I just had the truffle Parmesan fries which, like the waffle fries, were crispy and very good
