I went to the Tickle Me Comedy Club Tuesday evening. The club is on the third floor of the Eclipse…read moreTheater complex in downtown Las Vegas at the corner of 3rd and Gass. There is covered parking at the theatres. The show starts at 8 or a bit later as was the case Tuesday and there are a number of comics--6 including the host Evan Green on the night I was there. The club is still in a sot opening phase even though their Facebook page says they opened April 1st. Before going to the 3rd floor, I stopped at the second to check in and I got a soda at the large bar the Eclipse complex has. There is a very large lounge area on the second floor and this is where the film screens are if you're seeing a movie. You are allowed to take food and drink to the 3rd floor to the comedy club. The club is in one corner of a large space equivalent in size to the second floor that could be used for a dance, a private party, or in this case, a corner that's set aside for the Tickle Me Comedy Club. There weren't many people there when I took my seat and one of the comics asked people to move forward to fill in near the stage. More people came later and they seemed to hold off starting until there were no more arriving. This proved to be a mixed bag. Spot lights for the comics in the back made a shadow on the stage of part of my back and head. The problem that was worse than this was they have spotlights directed from behind the comic to the audience. My closer seat put me right into a direct line with one of the spots and it was irritating. I should have moved. That's my fault, but is it really needed? The comics were a mixed bag. With having 6, their sets are shorter and if you're not amused by a particular comic, they'll soon be off anyway. During the show, one of the comics abruptly ended his time and just said thanks and left the stage. It was somewhat uncomfortable. I don't know if it was because the laughter just wasn't there for him. Overall, the comics were not that funny to me. Two of them mentioned Yelp, one in passing, but one pushed it more. He directed his gaze to someone behind me and said, "You didn't think that was funny? I suppose you put it on Yelp that Carl isn't funny. You can say Carl isn't funny." The audience member didn't say anything but I'll say it for him, "Carl, you're not funny!!" The comics never suspected I'd be the person in the crowd who Yelps. I'd avoid Tickle Me. I'm not ticklish nor was I tickled!

1/8/20 After my…read morefirst experience last year the manager or owner reached out and asked for another opportunity to attend a show. I ended up getting VIP tickets to attend again and my daughter had her best friends in town from Atlanta, it was one of the girls' 21st birthday so I thought, PERFECT!, I will get tickets for her birthday it would be great to see a comedy show! Well...apparently there was an event on the 3rd floor as we were told so the comedy show was held in one of the theaters on floor 2. The GM was very apologetic and said there were not any seats left however, they were working on bringing some seats in to accommodate everybody. Now, I completely understand that I happened to get free seats because of my first experience however, this was definitely NOT a VIP experience nor a VIP seat but whatever, free is free so I'm not going to complain. Waiting for the fold up chairs to be brought in there was a man who was also waiting and holy crap was he pissed the eff off. He said he had paid extra and was not going to sit in the fold up chairs and was being super rude and loud and was not only making me uncomfortable but the girls I was with uncomfortable and I know the other patrons and staff uncomfortable. Totally understandable because again, if I had paId for VIP seats and had to sit in a fold up chair while everybody else got to sit in reclining leather seats I'd be super upset as well. Anyhow...the host comes out....this man starts to BOO!! LOUDLY!! It gets kinda worse, the host/comedian says there will not be any heckling tolerated anD he will be asked to leave. He settled down and shortly after here comes a freakin COUCH for he and his wife and his friend to sit on. Yes we could see but the people in the recliners to the right of us could not. I could hear the husband and wife talking saying they were unable to see. So the first comic...i missed....this whole situation was quite distracting The rest of the show was good. The closing comic was great. We each got a drink out of it. I did hear the host say there was food and drinks able to be ordered and I did see waitresses walking by but not one stopped to ask us what we wanted to eat or drink so 2 of us got up and got our own drinks with others from the theatre and missed part of the show. I do see several other reviewers had great experiences here so I'm not going to deter anybody from coming. I guess I've just had bad luck the 2 times I've been here. If I ever come again, I will have to come alone because bringing people here just hasnt been imprEssive thus far.

I signed up for a player's card but no great freebies right away. Dillion was the one who signed me up for my card, he was nice. Alyssa was the bartender who took care of my friend's & I. I really liked her. She was friendly, engaged in conversation with us & was quick to wait on us & bring us our drinks. I played some video poker but didn't win anything. Bathrooms are single, male and female and they're strict on boys using the boys & girls using the girls per a sign they have hung up....lol There is one pool table & a few tall table tops you can hang out at. It does seem more of a dive bar with a younger crowd, like 20 year olds. My friend's & I were prob the oldest ones on the bar side.....lol I love the outdoor décor, so cute!!

The atmosphere is laid-back but full of energy, and you can tell it's a favorite local hangout that's been around forever. The bartenders are friendly and know how to pour a great drink, the crowd is always a good mix of locals and visitors, and there's often live music on weekends that keeps the vibe lively without being overwhelming. If you're into places with character rather than cookie-cutter bar chains, this is your kind of joint. Whether you're bar-hopping down Water Street or just looking for a classic Henderson tavern with good drinks and good people, this place hits the mark. Definitely worth a visit!

Let's just say...where has this cover band been all my life?! The five of us got in line at 7:30pm, just to get a good spot on the floor right when the doors opened at 8:00pm. Admission to get in was free and we were allowed to bring in our own water and snacks. A small bar is also located inside. I drove here so I couldn't really drink any alcohol or cocktails, plus I left my water in the car, so I got myself a soda, which was only $3 plus tip. What a deal! Club Madrid is one of the coziest clubs I've been to so far. The surround sound was perfect (not too quiet or too loud) and the dance floor is very spacious. Seeing everybody dance along to their favorite classic rock songs was totally awesome, and I got to dance myself and get up close with the band at one point. As someone who has parents that listened to a bunch of classic rock when I was younger and being hooked onto it ever since, I knew and sang along to every song that they played. Some songs on their set list were Back in Black by AC/DC, Any Way You Want It by Journey, Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith, and Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. They took the stage at 9:00pm, where they played for about two hours (no intermission) before closing their show with Hot For Teacher by Van Halen. Two people in our meetup group had to leave a little early, but myself and two others stayed for the entire duration of the show. Hint: if you want to see YBR perform, their next show will be at Boulder Station on 4/25/25. They are AMAZING and you will NOT be disappointed.

You can also sit or stand at a table top. The bar opens up and has some big screens (we watched the winter X-Games hosted in Aspen) and a great view of the stage in Club Madrid. I enjoyed a Bloody Mary with extra olives. The bartender is fast, friendly, and makes a tasty drink. He keeps a clean and stocked bar. You can tell he enjoys his job. Everyone was singing along with the band and the seats were full. The only draw back on this particular visit was the smoking. I had to leave. I was getting a headache. The ventilation at this time is temporarily hindered due to the wall that is up right behind that area. The Casino is doing a wonderful job of renovating and unfortunately until that area is complete it's not as enjoyable. You must checkout The Sports book! It is amazing. So nice! I'm looking forward to 80's night when the construction is done.

A peer in my meetup group hosted a girl's night out here on a Saturday night. I think there were maybe ten of us, plus there were five other people there that weren't part of our own group. We all purchased tickets about a month in advance, which were only $29 per person. What was also special to me about this night is that it fell on a palindrome day - 5/24/25. I checked in with our host once I walked in. His name was Joe, and since I got there a little early, he said that I could pick up my apron, explore around, and maybe get a drink at the bar before we began. Yes, they have a bar! I decided to try out their lemon tango cocktail, which had that sunset-like color to it and totally matched the theme that we were going to paint. The theme of the night was titled Orange Moon Set. I'm not perfect at drawing circles by all means, but when it was time to paint the moon, I think I did a pretty decent job at drawing one. We painted for about an hour before taking a ten minute break. During the break, I decided to get another drink. This time, I got myself a glass of Chardonnay white wine, which is probably one of the strongest white wines that you can get. Before the break ended, Joe announced that he would be spinning a wheel, and our seats had a famous artist's name on it. If the name on the seat matched the one on the wheel, someone would win, spin the wheel again, and take home a painting or two (or three!) or receive a free class. He also announced a blacklight paint class that's coming up in the next few weeks and a "paint your own pet portrait" class in September. The class wrapped up after we painted the clouds and the trees. We then all got together for a group photo once we were finished. This was a memorable night for me and I'm looking forward to the next one in the future. I'm definitely interested in the blacklight paint class! Before leaving, I picked up a rewards card since I'm showing interest in returning and painting a new canvas. If you visit Wine and Canvas 10 times, then your 11th visit is free!
