The best thing ever .... Artichokes
    Emily C.

So I came here from word of mouth that this place was a really great Italian restaurant. I was kind of worried because it was also a gaming bar like how could the food differentiate from the other gaming bars. Anyways I went and I died deep in my soul .......... The artichoke was exquisitely delicious like no other I have ever had. The soup alone was way better than the clams soup. If you like salty the clams soup would be better for you, but I guarantee you that if you have a great palette you would know the artichoke is so delicious. Moving forward I was met with one staff I guess he controlled the bar because the other side was closed. He was a very attentive staff and I believe his name was Jake. He just know the best things to get and I will post the pictures below. Everything was so perfect!!!!! This is a hidden gem if you ever come here I'm pretty sure your family would be amazed of the quality of the food. There are plenty of seats and also a private party area for birthdays or celebrations.

We have been here many times and get the good quality and service we have come to expect. However the pricing in my opinion is getting a bit uncomfortable!

Solid 4.5 stars. Good food, service was good too. Half a star for interior, clashes a bit with the food and romantic atmosphere this restaurant is trying to creat. Maybe if to close front windows, so it feels more secluded from the parking lot. We got peppers with burrata, stuffed artichoke (must try), gnocchi and eggplant Parmesan. My least favorite was eggplant Parmesan. It was dry. Overall, great experience. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. I believe her name was Lori. Price is reasonable. Will definitely come back to try more things from the menu

It's not bad. Had an InKind reward to use, there was a couple Italian places nearby, ended up here. Went on a Friday night, and it was pretty busy. One room had tables near the door (not great when it's chilly), and one room was very loud. We chose the chilly room. Lara was our server, she was great. She was knowledgeable, kind and attentive. We started with the calamari. It was served with a spicy sauce. If you can't handle spice, this isn't the sauce for you. I asked for a non spicy pomodoro. It was kinda flat, mixing them helped dull the kick. The calamari was cooked well and tasty. I did chicken parm w pasta instead of veggie and potatoes, woman did the lemon chicken after talking through some options with Lara. I kept asking if things were house made. There wasn't a heartwarming story or boasting about things made in house (I mean who wants to go to a place that just serves premade food, in any economy, not me!) they made the sauce, but not the pasta itself, and they have bread and butter you can order, bread also not made in house. The music isn't what I'd expect in a place that looks so old school Italian. It was a lot of 80's hair band type stuff. Which I love, just didn't expect. Things took a while to come, but Lara was good about checking in. They do have generous portions, I'll give them that. The chicken boob took the whole plate, the pasta came in a bowl. It took some getting into to experience the acidity of the tomato the way I wanted to, the cheesiness was there though. The lemon chicken was pretty acidic, and that's coming from someone who adores acidic things. The parm grew on me but it still wasn't spectacular. We decided to do dessert. We were torn between cheesecake and tiramisu. The cheesecake said homemade, tiramisu did not. Lara said both were. We did the tiramisu, it's not something I usually order, lotta chocolate on the plate, but I liked it. Woman eats it out more than I do and said it didn't compare to an Italian place she really enjoyed it at. With them being so close to butchers block it would've been cool to see if they got their meats there. Alas I'm not sure if I'd go back. I think they have happy hour, I'd be up for that, it's just hard to find a reason to go back when there are places that make more of the menu in house and the food is amazing from first bite.

Stuffed Artichokes Bread crumbs, Olive oil, Parmesan

It's been about two years since I've been here which is two years too long. The food here is authentic and amazing. We started with the bread with fresh garlic on it which is thick slices of bread and so yummy. With that we had the stuffed artichoke which sits in a chicken broth that tastes like an authentic Jewish chicken soup. (Don't tell mom)...Take the garlic bread and use it to soak up the soup and omg!!! The artichoke and bread were amazing. I've never had an artichoke in broth. I recommend both of these. The avocado bacon salad was superb. They split the salad for us which was very nice and the taste of this combination was really good. I added fresh Parmesan to mine which enhanced the combination in this salad. I had the meat lasagna which was ok in my opinion. It was very heavy on the ricotta and did not taste like your typical lasagna. It had a good amount of meat and the sauce was good but unfortunately the cheese in this dish over powered the pasta which was hard to find as the pasta was so soft is just mixed in with the cheese. It's a shame as I was really looking forward to a good lasagna. For me personally, I would not recommend this or order this again as it was challenging to eat because of taste was pure cheese, heavy and just was not what I expected or liked. It was like a smothered mess with not a great taste. My friend had the branzino with vegetables and said it was really good. It looked amazing. Our server Tom was awesome. Our glasses were never empty and he was always checking on us but never asked how we enjoyed the main course as I would have told him the lasagna was not good. Again, the food here is good just this lasagna was not. I will be back and I'll stick with the eggplant or a chicken dish. I highly recommend this place as it's the highest quality of food off the strip with decent local prices. They expanded and added a full bar. It's a great looking place and adding more seating and a bar shows how well this place is doing. I would order everything again except the lasagna. It's a shame because everything else here has always been amazing.

The food here was absolutely delicious. One of my favorite things to order any Italian restaurant is the meatballs. These were phenomenal, very tender very juicy. The Caprice was delicious. The carpaccio was amazing. The service here was great. Everybody was very friendly. And this ambience here made you feel very welcomed. Such a great spot.

$100 Caymus Wine Dinner for 2.

Back again, and Chef Roma's Kitchen continues to impress. This time we tried the Dinner for Two for $100, and it's one of the best values around. It includes a shared appetizer, shared salad, two entrées, and even a bottle of Caymus California Cabernet. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was as warm and attentive as ever. If you're looking for a great date night without breaking the bank, this is an outstanding deal. Highly recommended!

    Best espresso martini I've had!

Everything was amazing about this place. It was our first time visiting and will definitely be back. First let me tell you that it's not cheap but you get your moneys worth. The food is fresh, the portions are enough for 2 people and presentation is top notch. The restaurant is clean, the service is friendly, and the background music was fitting. We ordered the red pepper with burrata, chicken Parmesan, pasta tuti di Mari, espresso martini, and tiramisu. Omg best Tiramisu ever. Perfect spot for a date, celebration, business meal, or just because you're in the mood for some good food!! Enjoy :)

The restaurant (Roma Kitchen) is located at 10420 S Decatur Blvd #100 Las Vegas, NV 89141. The layout is quite simple here. This is a very locals type of place. They and have a Happy Hour from 4-6. They start us out with a couple "house" ice waters. For my first drink, I'm having a Negroni. This is made with Still Gin, Campari and sweet vermouth. The server is actually making the drinks! This is perfect! It's well balanced and garnished! They use a large ice cube! It does have a straw in it which is odd. Still, it tastes very good! I'm impressed! I love the oldies music in here. Decent volume too. For our appetizers, we are having the warm olives made with olive oil, garlic and red chili flakes and meatballs with pomodoro sauce. That bowl (with the meatballs) is huge! That's a lot of sauce! That meatball is good! I love that sauce too! Add some parmigiano cheese! I had hot pepper flakes too (self provided). Yummy! The olives are served in olive oil and are warm and delicious! This is an open kitchen so you can see chefs hard at work. There's a decent crowd in here. There's not a lot of decor in here but it's very clean in this place. For his entree, my friend is having the Chicken Parmigiana made with mozzarella and pomodoro sauce. I am having the Spicy Sausage Penne Alls Vodka. This is made with pomodoro sauce, cream, red pepper and Italian sausage. It's nice and hot! Good portion! I live the crunchy outside of the sausage! This is great! The chicken parmigiano entree includes vegetables (broccoli) and potatoes (or penne pasta). The broccoli is really good with a peppery flavor. He loved those potatoes too! It's hot and steamy! For my second drink, I'm having the Whistle Pig Manhattan made with Whistle Pig (6 Year) whiskey, sweet vermouth and Amarena cherries as a garnish. This is good! It's well balanced and nicely garnished. I like the use of the large ice cube too. They fill your water regularly too. Mike says his chicken parm is moist and tender. It's the best he's had since moving out here 15 years ago. The server is unbelievably attentive and incredibly nice! For my dessert, I'm having the [Jon] Taffer's Brown Buttered Bourbon Affogato. I've been watching Bar Rescue all week (I'm on vacation). An affogato is a simple Italian dessert made by pouring a shot of hot espresso over a scoop of cold vanilla gelato or ice cream. The name "affogato" means "drowned" in Italian, referring to the way the hot coffee melts the ice cream. It is a quick and easy dessert that can be enjoyed immediately, with optional additions like liqueurs, chocolate shavings, or nuts. I am a huge fan of Bar Rescue. I'm dying to try this! OMG! Look at this! You can pour the espresso and bourbon on the dessert as desired! This is the best dessert I've ever had in my life. It's so easy to eat. This music is the bomb! Oldies (60's and up to the 70's) all night! What a fantastic meal here! You can't go wrong!

Excellent service and food. We have been ordering from here on Uber Eats and decided we wanted to dine in. The Chicken Francese reminds us of food we had when we lived in NYC. Our waitress, Michelle, was very friendly and a great server. The restaurant is great for any dinner, date night, or just having food with friends. I'm so happy we found this place - the food is excellent and won't disappoint. The portion sizes are great; I always have leftovers. Parking is available right in front.

Let me preface this review by advising I'm grading on a major curve due to this restaurant being located in Green Valley (epicenter of chain restaurants and geriatric clientele). We dined on a Saturday night, table for four. The interior is nicely decorated with an open kitchen and well-spaced tables. Our server Amy was very sweet and accommodated a few special requests with no issues. After we were seated she immediately placed salt and pepper shakers on the table in front of me, tacitly acknowledging the fact that most of the Green Valley residents who dine here are vehemently allergic to properly seasoned food. We started with both bread options - plain and garlic which were both fresh and served with both butter and oil/vinegar options. We also shared an order of meatballs in a marinara sauce. Once I added a copious amount of salt they were quite tasty and clearly housemade. Great start! For my entree I ordered the branzino and it was an excellent choice - I was really impressed with the preparation as it was perfectly cooked with a flaky tender inside and delicious crispy skin (I'm a crispy fish skin fanatic and that's a difficult result to achieve without overcooking the inside). It was in a flavorful lemon butter sauce and was very well seasoned. I didn't even have to add salt! Everyone else at the table enjoyed their food. I won't comment on those entrees here as I did not taste them myself. I can report that the portions are VERY generous - even rivaling the Cheesecake Factory portions being served down the road (a restaurant with a line out the door on any given Saturday night - welcome to Green Valley!) Dinner for four came to exactly $200 before tax and tip which, considering the quality of the food and epic portions was a great deal. That also includes two large glasses of delicious Sauvignon Blanc (really nice wine selection here too for a neighborhood restaurant!) Overall I'm glad to have a neighborhood option like this one close to my home and I would definitely return just for that crispy skin branzino!

We stumbled across this place when looking for new Italian restaurants to try. My husband is a NY Italian, so he has high standards for food. The ambiance was inviting when we walked in. We were immediately seated for our reservation when we arrived. The waiter was attentive and personable. He answered our questions, gave suggestions, and even modified a dish to include both a sauce and pasta preference for my husband. The food was absolutely delicious, and portions were more than ample. My husband said it was the best Italian food he's had in a long while, and that is saying a lot.

    How are the clams?

    Absolutely Fabulous...

They have a sign out front stating "now serving lunch". But on their website they only have dinner hours listed?

They are now open for lunch. We enjoyed a terrific lunch there a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully they'll update their website soon.

Do they have gluten free pasta?

The hostesses were welcoming as soon as we walked in. Our server was Michael and he's a true professional- genuinely friendly and attentive. We had a couple questions about the menu and he answered all and had an easy going, positive demeanor. We started with the Baked Clams. They were seasoned perfectly. The delicious juices from the baked clams were great to dip the bread in. The bread sticks are served in a brown paper bag which is fun and they are so good; warm and savory, I ordered the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara and asked Michael if it was made with peas (my favorite version) and he said they could add them. He didn't miss a beat, needing to find out if they could; like I have experienced elsewhere. I didn't even care if they charged me for it, which other places have. I wasn't charged for the peas anyway. It was absolutely wonderful- the sauce and pancetta were great. My BF had the Veal Francese and enjoyed every bite of it. I tasted it and I liked it as well, meat is very tender. They have an extensive wine list. I had a glass of a Pinot Noir and my BF had a Peroni. They had a large group, at least 12-14 people and they seemed to be on top of things with them and the rest of us The decor is beautiful, think rustic Italian. Ornate chandeliers, wine barrels, and various rich wood and stone decor. There is patio seating, although no one was seated there, I would think due to the heat. The view of the Las Vegas Strip/Skyline is beautiful. It's an upbeat vibe good for groups, business, or a romantic meal. They have a nice bar area with gaming and Patty the bartender is super nice and a lot of fun. Great experience- I can't wait to go back!

A Hidden Gem -- Incredible Italian with Heart…read more Il Chianti is amazing! We absolutely love Chef Rudy and everything about this restaurant. The food is consistently fantastic, and it's clear that there's so much care and heart behind every dish. We've tried several things on the menu -- from the creamy Alfredo pasta to the flavorful New York steak -- and it's all been delicious. But let me tell you... their garlic bread is what dreams are made of. It comes out warm and crusty with garlic, olive oil, parmesan, and spices -- and I honestly think about it all the time. It's that good. Il Chianti is definitely on the finer dining side, so prices reflect the quality -- but it's 100% worth it. We've celebrated birthdays here, and even had our wedding luncheon hosted at the restaurant, and they were amazing to work with: so accommodating, so kind, and just a joy to plan with. This is a restaurant we love and want to see succeed. Highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable Italian meal in a beautiful, welcoming space.

The ambiance in here is moody and not over the top but very nice. Excellent wine selection and delicious food. Chef Rudy also comes by for table touches which I thought was quite awesome. I had the Linguini Alle Vongole with white sauce and it was delicious. Pasta was perfectly al dente and the fresh clams was exactly as I expected. I personally dislike when restaurants just put the meat of the clam in the pasta without the shell. Can't wait to come back and try another dish!

Well the casino itself is extremely smoky and full of very, very, very old people (watch out for the scooters, walkers and oxygen tanks), the restaurant itself was a very pleasant "casual Italian atmosphere". Real linen tablecloth. Very comfortable and intimate booths and excellent lighting in ambience for an Italian restaurant. The food was nothing short of excellent. You got absolute heaps of it and it was very authentic Italian. In fact, the meatballs on my spaghetti and meatballs with some of the best meatballs I've had in Vegas. My wife enjoyed her Chicken Angelo very much. Perhaps one of the best highlights of the night was the service. We had "Brandon" as our server and he was extremely personable, funny and engaging. He actually seemed to like his job and enjoy dealing with us. Highest marks to him. He really improved the night. Also, is one of the few authentic Italian restaurants that we found to be extremely affordable. We shared a full Caesar salad salad we had a massive entrée and even had cannolis for dessert (with a glass of wine) and the price tag was less than $65. Where do you get that type of value? Absolutely a hidden gem and will definitely be on our "go to list".

You walk up 3-4 stone steps to the beautiful doors and inside to a beautiful room filled with comfortable booths and lined draped tables, beautiful lighting and they even had a bar inside. They do to go orders as I heard several of those being taken as we waited for our bread which arrived quickly and included oil and vinegar. Delicious. Brandon was the waiter. He was friendly and attentive. Top notch! I ordered Minestrone soup and Bruschetta. My brother ordered a Caesar Salad. All three dishes were AMAZING. Best soup I have had anywhere and that Bruschetta was melt in your mouth amazing, the flavors lingered long after I had finished the last bite. Brother ordered Chicken Parm and I got salmon w/asparagus and potatoes as I am allergic to Mushrooms and could not do the normal risotto that it comes with. He said next time to remind him and he will ask for extra sauce and maybe another piece of chicken--He liked it though. The salmon was Juicy and delicious, the potatoes were soft. YUM. The Bruschetta pic did not come out sadly but it was amazing and I am sure the pic would not do it justice anyways. No desserts... I mean they had them but only 3 to choose from so I opted to skip it and get dessert tomorrow at the next restaurant I am heading to--stay tuned... 100% have added this to the return list--The die can bring it up but it won't have to. I also left the die on the table and Brandon saved me from leaving with out it. The dice man needs his dice. See you soon! The dice man

The restaurant is situated right at the corner of the building structure with a unique decors but furnished with old tables and unmatching chairs. There wasn't anyone at the reception desk. I noticed the set up was kind of Uni-shape, the bar is on the right side for customers who like to drink. The longer side was facing the corner street. They also have a sorbet freezer on the side. By then a lady approached the front desk as we requested for a table for 2. She was not pleasant nor rude but went ahead directed us to the guest table on sight. The seat given had flimsy back rest. I was cautious that I might fall on my back. I am giving 4 stars for the soggy pizza crust and for the hostess that did not smile and dressed like she just got out of bed, in loose big printed t-shirt and kind of like sweat black pants. The server took our orders and she wasn't friendly but focused to serve. The atmosphere was a flat vibe. We ordered a Settebello Pizza and Pasta Pomo Secchi. It was served promptly! The pizza sauce and topping were delicious but the crust was soggy in the middle. Would haven a perfect pizza! The pasta was served too al dente but it was still satisfying. The red meat sauce with dollops of burrata made it flavorful. The serving though was skimpy as shown the photo. The service from the servers who share responsibilities was excellent. Will we eat here again? Maybe when I see that they have more pasta choices on the menu.

The staff was very kind, and we were greeted and seated immediately. We were given bread with a delicious pesto sauce to enjoy while we looked over the menus. They offer an impressive menu, and we honestly had a hard time choosing! We ended up with the Tortellacci Ripieni Brasato Di Manzo Al Tartufo Nero--braised short rib wrapped in fresh egg pasta with a creamy Alfredo-style sauce. The pasta is made fresh daily, and my BF could not stop raving after every bite that it was some of the most delicious pasta he's ever had. It really was mouthwatering. We also ordered the chicken Caesar salad and did not expect the portion to be so large! The chicken had a nice char and was a little dry, but overall, paired with the Caesar dressing, the flavors blended really well. The restaurant looks out toward the lake and greenery, with patio seating that would be beautiful during cooler weather. There's also a floating stage nearby with live music on Saturdays, which you can enjoy from the restaurant. Inside, there's a small bar with seating, and the overall atmosphere feels romantic and upscale. We noticed quite a few couples enjoying dinner. We visited in early August, which is definitely the off-season at Lake Las Vegas. MonteLago Village was pretty quiet, and when we arrived around 5:30 p.m., there were only two other couples in the restaurant. Over the course of our dinner, though, almost every table inside filled up. I can only imagine how busy it gets during peak season, so I would recommend reservations in advance. Even during the summer, it may be worth checking ahead if you want an indoor table during prime dinner hours. Wonderful service, fresh pasta, generous portions and a beautiful setting. I would absolutely recommend Luna Rossa to anyone visiting Lake Las Vegas.
