I ordered my burger medium well (I don't actually like medium well but I've found that burgers are being consistently cooked one temp below at every restaurant in the city so I started ordering medium well in hopes of getting true medium lols) and it was totally rare, so sadly I couldn't eat it : ( my roommate who likes her burgers that way said it was fine but needed salt. When I took my one (raw) bite I also got a weird bit of cumin which I thought was strange for a burger. The rest of the food was fine but my wings were also underdone and not crispy at all. Ok so this isn't fine dining, but it's neighborhood spot where you can get some high quality, pub style food. All the sauces are made from scratch and are super thick. Some of the thickest ranch and best bleu cheese dressing I've had. The Chipotle dressing was also phenomenal. Buffalo wings here are some of the best I've had in New York. There's just something about the sauce. The burgers here are also fantastic. They actually cook to temperature and cook a perfect medium rare. You can tell the patty was charred on an open flame. It feels like one of those cheeseburgers you would get from room service at a nice hotel, if you know what I mean lol. Okay.. I LOVE bonnies grill. My partner and I have come here a couple times now and the food is reliably delicious. Fries always come out super crispy, and meat is very high quality. While last time we ordered the ribs (delicious), this time we chose to go with a burger. It was perfectly cooked (medium rare) and had the perfect amount of toppings on it. All in all, I suspect you can't go wrong with any menu item here. The interior has a cool retro vibe - it's quite small so I've seen it pretty busy, but have also had no problem getting a spot in off hours. The cooking area is also behind the bar in the middle of the restaurant, and we really enjoy sitting at the bar and watching them make all the delicious food that they serve. Staff is also friendly. We ordered the Bavarian Soft Pretzels. The pretzels were nice, soft, and warm. The burgers always taste delicious. We ordered onion rings. They were nice and crispy and we ordered the smores milkshake and cookies and cream one. We enjoyed the cookies and cream milkshake better. Ordered from this place twice and unfortunately my order was only fulfilled once. The wings were pretty solid and the ranch had a ton of pepper in it as is typical with buffalo wings. Regardless, I'd give this place a one star overall. I'll elaborate below! Unfortunately, I preordered with Bonnie's in preparation for the SuperBowl about two weeks ahead of time and the order was cancelled just an hour before the order was meant to be received. I can see why this place has been open for 20+ years - food is fantastic, service is great, reasonably priced, and has a great comfortable sports-forward vibe. My partner and I got the half rack of ribs with cheese fries and it was some of the best ribs I've had in NYC to date. The meat fell right off the bone, perfect temp, and so flavorful. Also very generous portion! We both were stuffed after (and we were initially considering ordering more food). We had the best seats in the house - right at the counter (bar) area - and got to watch all of the mouthwatering food being made (mostly grilled). We saw that folks were ordering an array of different grill items (various burger combos, hot dogs, grilled chicken, ribs, etc) so made us feel comfortable that we couldn't have gone wrong with anything we ordered. Also super impressed on how the cooks were able to manage all of the orders and time everything perfectly - big kudos to them! This is a nice little lunch stop. They have a decent menu and I was excited to see that they had a Beef on Weck. I haven't had one of these since I was a kid! This one has a spin on it though, as it also includes a breaded onion ring (which was quite delicious). The beef was good and tender, but just slightly too fatty. I still ate almost all of it though. The Weck was so salty, but it went well with the creamy horse radish aioli (I probably should have asked for more of this). I definitely enjoyed my sandwich and felt it was very nostalgic for me. I'd also absolutely order more of those breaded onion rings, those were my favorite kind (breaded vs. bear battered). I did also steal a fry or two from my friend and they were quite delicious. They have a fun, diverse menu and seems like a place that would be good for takeout/delivery. The interior/exterior feels a little worn down, divey/ diner vibes but I didn't mind. Hubby and I went here after a show one night and arrived about 90 min before they closed. They have a diner setup inside but about three tables outside with fans blowing to keep it cool. Our server was new and she was so nice and hospitable. We ordered the wings, turkey hotdogs and one of the burgers, along with the coleslaw and fries for sides. The wings take about 15-20 minutes so we actually got the wings just before our food. It worked out though since the wings just came out of the fryer. They were delicious and has great Buffalo flavor. The spice sauce they use is more vinegar flavored but I liked it. The turkey hot dogs were great. I got them with mustard, tomato, onion and they came on two thin sliced pieces of French bread. The bread was a little hard at the edges from being overly toasted a bit but the hot dogs were delicious either way. The burger had solid flavor and the coleslaw was tangy and more a German style. These wings were the right amount of saucy, crispy, and juicy. I get the feeling they were brined. The surprise for me was the chilli cheese fries. Come here the past Monday and sat outside . She ordered the veggie burger and I ordered the bbq wings . The small order is 5 pieces w/ carrots and celery. The beyond burger comes w/ a salad. It's very good and huge. We did cut it on half to sharer too. The inside decor is fancy and the kitchen is in the front part of the restaurant. If you sat inside you will see the stove top. Our server was very nice and helpful . We stayed for about 35 minutes the sauce for the wings was soooo good. I was able to take home a small pint of it . It's cash or credit card here .
