Moretti's has been one of my favorite places to get some decent tavern style pizza. I have not been to this newer location so we decided to give it a try as we had a guest from Dallas in. We had a party of 10. We made reservations and the table was ready. Our server was very nice and helpful. My wife was feeling hot and out of no where, the server came with a mini handheld fan and plopped it on the table which was awesome. We ordered Pepperoni Thin, 1/2 cheese, 1/2 cheese thin, Gfree Pepperoni, Gfree Penne with meat sauce, Brussels, and Onion Rings. The pizza was crisp and the cheese was nicely cooked. I really love the sauce as it has a nice little sweetness to it. The Brussels were good and roasted perfectly and had a nice drizzle of sauce. The onion rings were large and had crunchy. The server was very attentive and funny. We really appreciated the fan! They also had live music. I def will be back here. read more

We came with two other couples on a Monday night. It was nearly full and our server got lost s few times and the manager helped us out with our needs. They have pull fire shares on the eastern window which help with her heat however whoever is facing the window will still get blinded by the sunlight that does make out through the shades so sit appropriately! My dish was the Italian Cobb, it was very tasty with enriching you expect in a Cobb - Mixed greens, bacon, avocado, tomato, hard-boiled egg, cucumber, roasted red peppers, olives (mostly green and a few too many!), gorgonzola cheese, and red onion. I asked for the balsamic vinaigrette on the side and it was nicely balanced with sweet vinegar, garlic and olive oil. My better half got a small thin crust sausage and pepperoni pizza and the crust was nice and crispy but not as thing as D'Agostino's. The other couples ordered the Monday 1/2 price cheeseburger, the chicken salad, the soup & salad combo and a veggie pizza. The veggie pizza was quite tasteless...it needed a stronger cheese and/or more flavorful tomato sauce. They have a nice sounding happy hour 3-6 weekdays so I think we will return for that. read more

Absolutely unacceptable. I walked all the way to this restaurant expecting to have dinner because your posted closing time says 10:00 PM. When I arrived around 9:00 PM, I was told the kitchen was already closed and that I had to leave. How does a restaurant "close at 10" but stop serving food an hour earlier? The entire purpose of going to a restaurant is to order food. If your kitchen closes at 9:00 PM, then be honest and advertise that your kitchen closes at 9:00 PM--not that the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM. I wasted my time walking here only to be turned away because of a policy that makes no sense to customers. It's misleading, frustrating, and a terrible way to treat people who came expecting to dine based on the hours you advertise. If you don't want to serve customers during your posted business hours, then change your hours. Otherwise, honor the closing time you advertise. This experience was beyond disappointing, and I won't be back. read more

Newer place in Wheeling. I've been to a few Moretti's over the years. Went with friends. Place looks new. Bourbon selection is decent with Buffalo Trace as an option. They had a waitress-in-training helping us so we were extra hard on the waiter. Joking with him, etc. It was all good fun. We did not order pizza although wow it looked good judging by the other patrons. Two of us ordered the bbq ranch chicken salad. It was good. Portion size was just right. I didn't feel guilty eating it all. One of our friends forgot his glasses and ordered something that included an ingredient he didn't like. They took it back and swiftly brought him the bbq chicken salad. He was happy with the food. We will be coming back again to try the pizza. read more

I was quite excited when I found out Moretti's was coming to Wheeling. I got to dine in for the first time back over the summer. It's gives off an upscale type vibe on the inside, but the overall feel allows the atmosphere to be very casual. Plenty of TVs to watch your favorite game or other screen based entertainment. My partner and I were there for lunch in the middle of the afternoon, so it wasn't super busy. This allowed for a more chill experience and dedicated service. Our waitress was helpful and pleasant, as were all the staff we interacted with. The pie was great too. Hot, gooey, and just the right amount of flavor. I went with my usual boring plane cheese. I won't say it's my favorite, but the pizza here is one of top 5 in the area. The fries and mozz sticks slapped as well. Everything was well made and tasted like quality pizza joint eats. A little greasy perhaps, but little enough to be excused. I have eaten from here multiple times since with friends and coworkers alike. All have wonderful tings to say. You can't go wrong with Morettis. Been here a number of times and it's always good. The Mac and cheese pizza was shockingly great, and everything else I've had there has been good too. 11/05/25 - We went here tonight to celebrate my sister's birthday. I have been to another Moretti's Restaurant in Morton Grove before & was totally underwhelmed by the quality of the food. I'm sorry to say I felt the same way about the quality of food @ the Wheeling location. The positives were outstanding service by our server. The calamari w/the spicy Sriracha sauce (yummy) & the Crispy Pressure Fried Chicken was delicious. Unfortunately the rest of the food was subpar. I ordered the lasagna normally I love lasagna but I'm sorry to say this was terrible & I returned it to the kitchen. Thankfully they refunded the amount. My nephew ordered a New York Strip Steak medium rare what came out was over cooked without a hint of red or even pink. The quality of the meat wasn't even very good sorry to say. The pizza my sister (the birthday girl) ordered looked good w/a thin crust that was soggy and not very good. This is the second time I have been to a Moretti's & the food wasn't very good either time. (Sorry to say). I find it very surprising that there are 13 Moretti's Ristorante. It really makes me wonder about the quality of food & what people are willing to accept. I'm not an expert & I realize food is very subjective to a persons tastes but to me the food @ Moretti's isn't very good. When I'm looking for a Moretti's, I'm looking for a large restaurant with a varied but familiar menu that serves up large portions at value prices. This restaurant meets all those expectations, with plenty of parking, comfortable seating, friendly service, and lots of TVs to enjoy sports while hanging out with friends. In addition, there's plenty of specials and events here which make it a perfect addition to the town center as a spot where people can gather after enjoying fun activities nearby. The food here for me is very solid, on par with Tap House Grill which provides a similar experience. While not necessarily the most sophisticated, items like burgers, fries, pizza, chips, wraps, and the other common dishes -- all come in large portions with fresh ingredients, with the flavors expected from an American pub. Desserts are also generously sized and go well with the meal. Overall, another solid Moretti's spot. Good for enjoying a casual meal and conversation with friends at very reasonable prices. read more

My friends and I dined here on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. There was plenty of seating, and we were allowed to choose our table. I had one of the best servers I've ever had - Amelia. She was very personable, friendly, and attentive. She really made us feel totally at home. The vegan pizza was tasty, especially with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. The Missus and I are longtime fans of Moretti's, having dined at several of their locations through the years. Their new Wheeling restaurant occupies the site of a former City Works. Having dined at City Works on their last day of business, we could not resist dining at Moretti's on their first day of business! The décor is similar to other Moretti's locations - casual sports bar with some high tops, rustic touches, and faux wood floor. This one is smaller than most, with just one dining room/bar area and no separate room for private parties, but tables can be put together for groups. There are gaming machines in the bar area. The menu will look familiar to anyone who frequents sports bars. Ya know the drill ... extensive bar list, fried foods, burgers, etc. But a special callout to their Italian entrees and, of course, some of the best tavern-style pizza around. At dinnertime, the place was jam-packed and boisterous. It took a long time for our food to arrive and, yes, there were a few other glitches, but those are to be expected on Day 1, so I will not be nitpicky. The shareable garden salad, thin-crust pizza, and broasted chicken were absolutely up to par. We look forward to returning to this location to enjoy other menu items. read more

This place is already so popular -- when we arrived for lunch around 1:00 on a weekday, we had to wait a few minutes for a table to be cleaned and set for us. One we were seated, the service was fast and attentive. The menu offers a nice variety, with different sandwiches, wraps and salads in addition to pizza and pasta. I enjoyed my grilled chicken and avocado sandwich. I ordered homemade chips as my side, but actually liked the fries (which I sampled from another plate) better. The name Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria is well-known in the area and this restaurant delivers what I have come to expect from this franchise. I chose Moretti's because I could watch the NCAA Tournament while having lunch. My friend and I shared the bruschetta and I had the BBQ chicken salad while he had the chicken salad and minestrone soup.. The food was good and they added new twists to familiar favorites. The bruschetta had a creamy ricotta cheese instead of mozzarella cheese. I enjoyed this change. The salad was big and had lots of flavors that complimented each other. Our server was nice and you could tell that she really wanted us to have a good experience. Just like other Moretti's, the tables are tight together and the service is slow. We made an in restaurant visit to Morrietti's to watch the Bears game (ugh!). The restaurant has many tv's for games and any table in the building can see it well. Our server McKenna, and her trainee were very nice and very helpful! Very informative and quick to get food to us. They looked after us very well. I chose the Broasted Chicken Sunday Special and it was very good! Real mashed potatoes. My sister chose the Pork Schnitzel Oktoberfest special. It was also very good! We had two appetizers. Both were okay. Maybe a bit pricey. The coconut Onion rings were a bit over done. My sister said she wouldn't do them again, but I thought they were okay.6 onion rings for $15 seems a bit pricy at about $3 a ring. Home made chips with French Onion Dip were good. We enjoyed the experience over all, and even spoke to the General Manager, Patrick to pass along compliments. The only real drawback is difficult parking for handicapped patrons. You really can't get that close. Seating and layout were very comfortable and the staff was great. The restaurant was not crowded at all. In fact that was a surprise. It was a nice fall day so maybe people were taking advantage of it before we see snow. We will go back for Bear games! I just hope the Bears play better. We asked for suggestions for favorites of the server after we ordered planning for next time. So far we haven't tried the pizza or anything Italian. Review in a word: Meh Their current menu online features classic pork schnitzel with potato pancake, and applesauce. That sounded great so I was looking forward to dinner, but that did not appear on the printed menu in the restaurant. I ordered it anyway, and said if that wasnʻt available Iʻll take the "Classic cheeseburger". Well, the schnitzel was indeed not available. The burger was, well, an uninspired burger: a patty on a bun with lettuce and pickle. The only condiment on the table was ketchup. It was served with chips, that were mostly chewy. The word "mediocre" simply is defined as "to be of average or moderate quality, ability, or performance ... It describes something as being in the middle, neither great nor terrible, but simply ordinary. OK, that fits this dinner. read more

While Moretti's is a great addition to the Wheeling area, there MUST be changes to accommodate customers on busier nights, specifically Tuesdays when there are Market Days and Thursdays when there are concerts. We went last night, sat outside and ordered our food (1 Diet Pepsi, 2 cups Minestrone and 1 small 10" deep dish pizza) at 7:13pm. After reminding the waiter for the Diet Pepsi and for the cups of soup, we then waited and waited for our pizza. By 8:15, we asked to see the manager after being told a couple of times that our pizza would be up soon. By 8:30, per the manager, it would still be another 20 minutes for our pizza! We told him it was way too late. While we understand deep dish pizza takes longer than thin crust pizza, 90 minutes of waiting + 20 more for it to actually be ready, was completely unreasonable. To their credit, the manager comped the Diet Pepsi and cups of soup. We then requested gift cards of which he accommodated. :( read more

We stopped in after work for some apps and drinks and took advantage of the Happy Hour Menu. We had calamari and brussels sprouts and a plethora of libations. The calamari came with a cocktail sauce and a marinara sauce. The calamari was a touch rubbery here and there but that is the nature of calamari. The brussels sprouts were delicious and came with Siracha mayo, cashews, and some other stuff, like mint, pesto, and basil. Drinks were delicious and refreshing!! We did not have dinner here yet but have eaten at other Moretti's and know they provide a great lunch and dinner. The waitstaff were attentive without being intrusive. We had an OUTSTANDING experience at Moretti's Ristorante this week! It was half-price pizza night, and our pizza was loaded with plenty of toppings--crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! We have been there a few times before, and it is always good... We love to order in their broasted chicken always the best!! The service was superb, thanks to our wonderful waitress Emily. Her timing was perfect, her suggestions were spot-on, and she anticipated every detail--even before I asked. Truly exceptional service. I also met the manager, Mike Lis, to rave about our experience. He made the evening even better with his friendly, professional manner. I honestly believe Moretti's has revitalized Wheeling's Town Center. Why would a place with 40 or so large screen TV's in the middle of a Saturday afternoon in February have half of them featuring golf and half with a random college basketball game in the middle of the Olympics? I asked the waitress and she said she would talk to the manager. About 10 minutes later, 2 of the 40 featured the Olympics, one above our head that we could not see and 1 other one. Secondly, the tax was well over 10% which I assume was an extra Wheeling development tax PLUS a service fee of $1.98. I asked the waitress what the service fee was for and she said it was "so they would not have to raise prices in the future". Before I could ask what planet that statement makes sense on, she offered to remove it and did. Food and service was fairly good. read more

Just a day after it's opening and this place was running spectacularly. We sat at the bar because it was midday and wanting to watch some March Madness. With no lack of televisions this place is fantastic. From my bar seat I could easily see 6-9 televisions without any problem. A decent beer menu was great to see and we made sure to enjoy a few! We started with the shrimp appetizer and it was delicious. I had a burger & onion rings(onion rings are not listed on the sides menu but available if you ask) and they were outstanding. Just wish this place had some outdoor seating once the weather gets a bit nicer but that aside I loved this place and can't wait to go back. Saturday night with lots of waiters the service sucked!!!! For a chain restaurant it's a shame that we had to see this! We went to dine in at 4.30 and were asked if we had a reservation when the restaurant was basically empty... we're seated at a high top table near the bar which was noisy. We asked to be seated at a lower table and it took them 5 to 10 mins to get us the table. The waiter came to get our order and the next time we saw him was when he came to give us a check. Did I want a couple of drinks yes but your loss that no one asked us for any. Food came and I had no fork to eat my Brussels sprouts with... did they expect me to eat with my hands!! They cleared the dirty plates to get us pizza and we had to ask them to get fresh plates to eat the pizza in! Seriously at this point I am like why are you even open when you have nothing organized!!! My husband and I went to this location at about 3 o'clock on a Friday. The place was completely empty. We seated ourselves at a high top near the bar. The manager brought us water and said a server would be with us shortly. We sat there for at least ten minutes before my husband asked the bartender where our server was. Apparently he was our server. After at least 20 to 25 minutes we had to again go up to the bar and ask for another round. We saw several servers standing around talking to each other. Nothing quite compares to being ignored in an empty restaurant. I don't think we will go back to this location. read more

I approached a manager and told him I was looking for our server and to get our check and rather than him bringing the bill to us, he sent another server to do that. Three guys had entrees and the chicken was the only one to get positive reviews. Pasta was fair and the sauce lackluster. We have now both Dined in the restaurant and had food delivered. Dine-In: - Food was hot. We ordered the Fish Fry, Bam Bam Shrimp and pizzas. Fish was decent and fries were AMAZING. Shrimp was just okay. Pizza was good. We made one pizza with the regular pizza sauce - not a ton of flavor but we also had the Roasted Chicken, Bacon, Onion White pizza which was VERY good at the restaurant but not great left over. - Service was good overall (one week after opening) but our server was not great. He was very inattentive, we would have ordered more drinks and a dessert had he actually come back to the table. We have had issues with the specific server at a different restaurant that he used to work at too so next time we will specifically ask for anyone but him! - Love the changes from the previous restaurant. Big windows, huge bar, lots of TVs! Delivery: - Quick and hot delivery! - Ordered Eggplant sandwich with chips and dip, "World Famous" wings, and a pizza. Eggplant was good.
