    bbq chicken salad

Newer place in Wheeling. I've been to a few Moretti's over the years. Went with friends. Place looks new. Bourbon selection is decent with Buffalo Trace as an option. They had a waitress-in-training helping us so we were extra hard on the waiter. Joking with him, etc. It was all good fun. We did not order pizza although wow it looked good judging by the other patrons. Two of us ordered the bbq ranch chicken salad. It was good. Portion size was just right. I didn't feel guilty eating it all. One of our friends forgot his glasses and ordered something that included an ingredient he didn't like. They took it back and swiftly brought him the bbq chicken salad. He was happy with the food. We will be coming back again to try the pizza.

Food: Crispy cheese crust deep dish Italian 10 inches did not look that big but it was definitely enough to feed up to 3 people that are not super hungry with 2 big slices each. It was so delicious & I'm not even a pizza fan (horrifying I know) but too much diary is bad for me & I like lighter fare. It's definitely got a spicy hint to it. Service: Great. Ambiance: I really like this place. It's nicer than most Moretti's because it's newer in the area of Wheeling with a lot of new restaurants. There was a good band playing on the weekend. Parking: Easy, huge lot. Pro tip: Try the deep dish even though it's known for thin crust

Yes this location's customer service is as great as the Moretti's in Schaumburg. The food was amazing and Guillermo our waiter was excellent making sure we were fed and the food was not cross contaminated. This place is huge amnd the live musics good.

A few friends and I swung by Moretti's in Wheeling after work for their half‑off dine‑in pizza special (yes, it includes all the specialty pizzas), and honestly, it turned into a way better night than any of us expected. Heads up: we didn't make a reservation, and they definitely prioritize people who do. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes for a table. It's a busy Tuesday spot, and they seemed a little short‑staffed for how packed it was, but everyone was doing their best and staying friendly. And honestly, once the food came out, the wait didn't matter anymore. Because let me tell you -- the Maxed Out Mac 'N' Cheese pizza with the triple‑stuffed asiago cheese crust was the highlight of my entire day. It's like an Alfredo pasta and a pizza had a ridiculous, cheesy baby, and I mean that in the best possible way. The BBQ sauce and jalapeños on top were incredible. If anything, I wish they'd gone even heavier with both. We also tried a bunch of other pizzas as a group: - Margherita - just okay - Tuscan Vegetarian - surprisingly good - Meat Lovers - classic and solid - Moretti's BBQ - smoky and sweet - House Favorite (thin crust) - super crispy and tasty Everything came out hot, fresh, and loaded with toppings. If you're thinking about going on a Tuesday, either make a reservation or be ready to hang out for a bit. But the food absolutely delivers, and that mac 'n' cheese pizza alone is worth the trip.

One big fatty piece took out of sandwich

Back again at Moretti's even though food is fair , this time tuscan veg pizza, barely any spinach and the asparagus was tiny cubed end pieces, pieces which is usually thrown out not put on a pizza .. no manager in the store last week to complain to, they need to do better!!!!!

So delicious and filling! We both made two meals out of our entrees . The server was very nice and attentive, It was sports bears game day ! The TVs had the sound on ! They had high top and low table seating along with bar seating . The waiters name was either Eric or Derek Thank u and sorry I didn't hear it correctly but I'm sure it can be figured out. Thumbs up

I was quite excited when I found out Moretti's was coming to Wheeling. I got to dine in for the first time back over the summer. It's gives off an upscale type vibe on the inside, but the overall feel allows the atmosphere to be very casual. Plenty of TVs to watch your favorite game or other screen based entertainment. My partner and I were there for lunch in the middle of the afternoon, so it wasn't super busy. This allowed for a more chill experience and dedicated service. Our waitress was helpful and pleasant, as were all the staff we interacted with. The pie was great too. Hot, gooey, and just the right amount of flavor. I went with my usual boring plane cheese. I won't say it's my favorite, but the pizza here is one of top 5 in the area. The fries and mozz sticks slapped as well. Everything was well made and tasted like quality pizza joint eats. A little greasy perhaps, but little enough to be excused. I have eaten from here multiple times since with friends and coworkers alike. All have wonderful tings to say. Surely looks to be staple in the area for years to come.

You can't go wrong with Morettis. Been here a number of times and it's always good. The Mac and cheese pizza was shockingly great, and everything else I've had there has been good too. They have daily specials- recently went on a Wednesday which was their martini special. The bartender, Joselyn, is wonderful. Will definitely be back.

11/05/25 - We went here tonight to celebrate my sister's birthday. I have been to another Moretti's Restaurant in Morton Grove before & was totally underwhelmed by the quality of the food. I'm sorry to say I felt the same way about the quality of food @ the Wheeling location. The positives were outstanding service by our server. The calamari w/the spicy Sriracha sauce (yummy) & the Crispy Pressure Fried Chicken was delicious. Unfortunately the rest of the food was subpar. I ordered the lasagna normally I love lasagna but I'm sorry to say this was terrible & I returned it to the kitchen. Thankfully they refunded the amount. My nephew ordered a New York Strip Steak medium rare what came out was over cooked without a hint of red or even pink. The quality of the meat wasn't even very good sorry to say. The pizza my sister (the birthday girl) ordered looked good w/a thin crust that was soggy and not very good. This is the second time I have been to a Moretti's & the food wasn't very good either time. (Sorry to say). I find it very surprising that there are 13 Moretti's Ristorante. It really makes me wonder about the quality of food & what people are willing to accept. I'm not an expert & I realize food is very subjective to a persons tastes but to me the food @ Moretti's isn't very good. This will probably be the last time I go to one because there are too many food options to settle for mediocre food. The reason I gave Moretti's a second star is because our server was very patient & provided outstanding service as our party trickled in at different times & she provided very good service

When I'm looking for a Moretti's, I'm looking for a large restaurant with a varied but familiar menu that serves up large portions at value prices. This restaurant meets all those expectations, with plenty of parking, comfortable seating, friendly service, and lots of TVs to enjoy sports while hanging out with friends. In addition, there's plenty of specials and events here which make it a perfect addition to the town center as a spot where people can gather after enjoying fun activities nearby. The food here for me is very solid, on par with Tap House Grill which provides a similar experience. While not necessarily the most sophisticated, items like burgers, fries, pizza, chips, wraps, and the other common dishes -- all come in large portions with fresh ingredients, with the flavors expected from an American pub. Desserts are also generously sized and go well with the meal. Overall, another solid Moretti's spot. Good for enjoying a casual meal and conversation with friends at very reasonable prices.

Definitely a better take out pizza experience. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Miss happy hour by three minutes order the calamari it was good. The portions are rather small this time. I tried their pizza that was good. I think next time I'll ask for it a little bit crispy. Someone had roasted chicken. I really like that. My brother's lasagna was not very good and my boyfriend's burger looked pretty good. There happy hours a good deal and I did like the meatballs

The Missus and I are longtime fans of Moretti's, having dined at several of their locations through the years. Their new Wheeling restaurant occupies the site of a former City Works. Having dined at City Works on their last day of business, we could not resist dining at Moretti's on their first day of business! The décor is similar to other Moretti's locations - casual sports bar with some high tops, rustic touches, and faux wood floor. This one is smaller than most, with just one dining room/bar area and no separate room for private parties, but tables can be put together for groups. There are gaming machines in the bar area. The menu will look familiar to anyone who frequents sports bars. Ya know the drill ... extensive bar list, fried foods, burgers, etc. But a special callout to their Italian entrees and, of course, some of the best tavern-style pizza around. At dinnertime, the place was jam-packed and boisterous. It took a long time for our food to arrive and, yes, there were a few other glitches, but those are to be expected on Day 1, so I will not be nitpicky. The shareable garden salad, thin-crust pizza, and broasted chicken were absolutely up to par. We look forward to returning to this location to enjoy other menu items.

Was not busy at all, so that wasn't the reason. Ordering drinks was quite the task with Maya as she'd forget the order. Positive note, food was good and came out somewhat decent time. Lastly, billing was quite the task. Took about 20min and it was incorrect. How we were charged for 6 beers when the bucket comes with 5... not sure. Also incorrect mixed drinks were billed. Some of us gave cash, and she decided to keep the change and gave herself a 36% tip from me and 33% tip from the other. Because this process took so long just trying to leave - we didn't bother with getting the change... or we might have had to wait another 20-30minutes.

They have a large outdoor seating area with its own counter and bar area. Half of the inside is a dining room, the middle is counter bar service, and the other side is a sports book with a lot of large TVs to watch horse racing and other sporting events. There are TVs all around the restaurant, so we could watch various sports going on that evening. On the night we went, ten wings were nine bucks and you can select two sauces or dry rubs. They were also doing some drink specials and drinks weren't expensive either. We also shared cheese curds and pretzel bites before we all ordered wings. The curds were curds. The problem with cheese curds is that if they're not super hot, they're just meh. I get that businesses make good money from them, but ugh, not a great item to order. The pretzel bites are fine as well. They were okay. Again, not an issue with Player's Pub, it's just the nature of these two different appetizers. Anyway, I got the wings special with a side of tots and ranch and included a side salad. The salad was a nice size and was fresh. I really didn't expect, well, I didn't know what to expect, but it was a good salad. The ranch is good, too. They have a great ranch game. And was a perfect sauce to dip my tots in. The wings were very good too. I got the hot honey and the bourbon-bacon sauces on my wings. The wings were meaty, juicy, and flavorful. They had a bunch of sauces and I would definitely order them again and try of their other sauces. I'm also part of a burger club, and they have several burgers on their menu, so we'll have to come back to try their burgers. Our server was also very attentive, constantly checking on us and refilling our drinks. We'll definitely be back to Player's Pub and catch a game and grab some great food.
