First time at this spot for an early bfast. Very small. You order at the counter and then sit and wait for the meal to be brought to you, which was a little weird for me. I got a veggie omelette and immediately identified a hair on top. I picked it off and ate the omelette anyway and it tasted fine. Coffee was weak. By far our favorite restaurant in Exton, plus it being a BYOB is a great added benefit. Service is wonderful, they're always so generous and inviting. Food is AMAZING. I've never had anything from Bonu that didn't exceed my very high expectations. The spicy chicken sandwich is incredible, the burgers are wonderful, as are the appetizers. I looked at the yelp review it looked good . The menu had Many Iranian dishes . We drove 35 minutes on a Saturday afternoon . When we went to the counter to order we were told none of the dishes were available . They recommended lamb gyro sandwich . It was pre-frozen meat served on a small pita with chunks of onion & tomatoes. Very disappointed. We will never go back. You can get a frozen gyro sandwich from anywhere ! read more

Stopped in here on a lunch break after a coworker raved about it. Waited over 30 mins to order and receive takeout, and was now going to be late getting back to work. I was annoyed, but could have called in ahead so I tried to shrug it off. But then I get all the way back to work, STARVING at this point, and it's the whole wrong order!!! Every time I go here, I try and get breakfast kolaches. They somehow are always out of them. I've gotten kolaches only once or twice and they were very good when I had them. I was told that they "sold out of them yesterday" and that they wouldn't have more for a couple of days, yet on their menu it says that they are "made fresh every morning." Clearly this is not the case. All the food on their menu is good, they just might be out of the best thing on their menu all the time. read more

Stopped in Bonu Cafe Express this morning to look at the breakfast menu. After greeting me the employee explained that the computers are down and only could take cash. I only had card. The manager later insisted that I order my food, eat it, then come back and pay when I had cash. Pretty cool! I ordered the sausage, egg and cheese kolache. It was awesome! Brought two employees with me back to Bonu for lunch. We ordered two grilled chicken Caesar salads and a burger. Once again the food was fresh, came out quick, and was reasonably priced. read more

Stopped in for some brunch and although overall we had a decent meal, I was slightly underwhelmed and here's why. They have so many items on the menu that it was difficult for me to even decide what I wanted. Now I'm talking everything from falafel to fish tacos, to cheesesteaks to French toast. Now while I expect this from a diner, I found it didn't necessarily work for this particular spot. I like to go into a new dining place and know what they are famous for and what they do really really well. I prefer smaller menus bc it's easier to pick from and I have assurance that the food is fresher in the back when they aren't ordering 4 million things each week. The atmosphere wasn't inviting and all of the food needed seasoning. We ordered a pancake and the bottom of it was burnt. The cheesesteak and fries were pretty good and my breakfast burrito was just so/so. I didn't appreciate being charged $1 each for fries and home fries, especially when the home fries were the tiniest portion ever. The server/(possibly owner?) was super sweet and really did take great care of us. One other couple came in and the phone rang and the staff seemed to fall apart a bit, which makes me wonder how they do when it gets super busy. Not sure we will be back to find out though, unfortunately. read more

Excellent find at the crossroads in Exton! Ate here last night! Decor is so nice, spotless clean and relaxed, owner is friendly and attentive. We had an awesome dinner! Loved their house salad with homemade dressing and for dessert the Kalaches, a homemade pastry with fresh fruit was AMAZING! Our waitress was just adorable, friendly and offered some favorites for us. Loved the chicken fingers, huge and yummy and the eggplant sandwich-- healthy and well done! We will definitely be back and also want to try the Malvern location. read more

I was in the area for a business trip and my fellow coworkers and myself were searching for somewhere to eat and we saw Bonu Café Express on Yelp and it had great reviews. We were not disappointed at all! We immediately told the people working there that we were in a hurry and they assured to us that they could make anything on the menu and get us out in less than 20 minutes. Not only was the service some of the best I've ever had, but their food was great too. They are known for their chicken quesadillas - which is something I found rather unique for a Café. The quality and quantity of the food easily surpassed the price and was worth every penny. This is a smaller place so this may not be the best location for large groups, but if you are by yourself or with a small group then I highly recommend coming to Bonu Café for some food. read more

Move aside Chipotle, hello Bonu! The fish burrito has definitely won my heart and belly! The chunks of perfectly seasoned fish and rice, cubes of avocado, and sprigs of cilantro make this a hearty and flavorful burrito. Everything is made fresh! I crave this burrito about once a week! The fruit kalachis are also sweet and flaky. If they were open later I'd frequent it even more which may or may not be a good thing! The owner, Bijon, is also the kindest and friendliest soul. Came here for a quick lunch in between interviews per my mom's recommendation. Service was fast and friendly, price point is perfect for the quality and speed. I ordered the falafel wrap as a bowl. Food is awesome there. They use fresh ingredients. My co-workers and I went there and most of us ordered different things but all of us really liked the food. Their burritos are huge and all fresh, avocado is chunks of fresh avocado, not processed guacamole crap. My co-worker got the burger and all I can say is wow! That burger looked like the kind of burger that your aunt that knows how to cook a big juicy burger cooks. I would recommend to friends for lunch. Not sure why anyone would choose the near by chain establishments over Bonu Cafe. Came in for a quick breakfast to go and was greeted right away with a smiling face. Everything is made fresh to order and fast. It was delicious. I have been here multiple times for lunch but will definitely be coming back for breakfast too! What a gem! This place is great for take out and there are also several tables if you want to eat in. Either way the food is a real treat and very fresh quality ingredients. The chicken quesadillas are my absolute favorite. The owner and all who work here are so helpful and friendly. The food is always beautifully presented and I feel like the pricing is very fair.
