Friendly atmosphere, a bit on the noisy side…read more I had the best avocado toast I've ever eaten: generous amount of perfectly ripe avocado enhanced by just the right amount of pico and a balsamic drizzle. My companion also found his biscuits with sausage gravy incomparable and enjoyed it immensely. The service was very good-hearted but rather disorganized. Three examples: 1) When we entered, we were offered a table or a booth, chose a table, and immediately were very cheerfully and politely taken to a lovely booth. 2) After asking our server for a few minutes to study the menu, a different server came by to take our order, and shortly after that the original server also came back to take our order. 3) One of our meals was delivered promptly to our table but the other went to a different table first. In spite of all this, however, we were treated very well and felt that the staff sincerely wanted to do everything they could to make our meal pleasant, which it was (mishaps notwithstanding).

I understand being busy, but that means poor time organization 3) I was advised since I ordered extra sauce to watch the bottom, which I did - I lifted with the handles and slip my other hand underneath and carried it to my car 4) when I get back to work I go to take the bag out of my car _ I put one hand on the handles and as I pull up on the handles to slip my other hand under the bag, the bag bottom was so covered in clam sauce - no carboard for support - that it tore open and I then had clams and spaghetti all over my clothes and the parking lot 5) when we called the restaurant to have another order prepared the first thing Aldo said was "she ordered extra sauce" which I did - why didn't the restaurant package it properly AND NOT BLAME THE CUSTOMER!?! The only option provided to me was to get a refund BUT that I had to go back into the restaurant to get the refund so THE OWNER COULD SEE THE FOOD!!! Are you kidding me?? I will no longer patronize this establishment and will advise anyone that I see on daily basis at my place of employment of the deplorable customer service and treatment I received. When you are a soup fanatic like myself, being able to order soup with breakfast is always a plus. Coming from a family that owned a kosher deli from 1920 through the late 1980's, I am also very critical of corned beef and its presentation, and was also excited that I could order a corned beef special so early in the day! My wife also ordered an omelet, of which, there were so many different choices. What I found the most enjoyable about this spot was the simplicity. Everything seemed to be made in-house and sourced locally or nearby, and nothing is overdone. Everything has good flavor and is just good! Not outstanding, but nothing is even close to being sub-par. Everything is simply just good. The soup was excellent as it had that homemade feel and flavor that you simply cannot replicate. The corned beef special, while being delicious, was a bit lean for my taste. The sandwich was great, and I even went to the deli to purchase a little bit of the corned beef sliced to take home to try in my own element, but it was lacking a certain something. Likely a bit of fat and a heavier curing/pickling that I associate with the very best of deli corned beef specials. The prices were reasonable and the space was exactly what I had expected after passing by so many times. Run by a fairly young staff, everyone was extremely attentive and courteous, and the entire experience was a good one. I'd like to try a few more things here, but the one thing I would definitely go back for is the piping hot soup, which I believe rotates daily in addition to the staples on hand. If you go to Westtown Market, or want a nice quick sit down breakfast or lunch and are in the shopping center for something else, definitely give H&L a shot.

As someone who genuinely loves Greek food, I was blown away by how fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared everything was. It wasn't just good--it was memorable.
