This is our second time to eat here. The first time was pretty good. We had crawfish etouffee and andouille with red beans and rice. They were both good enough to order again. This time we had a half order of swamp fries-they were really good. We decided to split an order of etouffee. The menu is confusing since they list etouffee 3 different times $10.99 (lunch) $13.99 cheap eats -we found out this is just the lunch portion but during dinner time, and $18.99 (dinner portion) We got the dinner portion but didn't realize it was going to be $18.99 (I had not seen this one on the menu) we didn't get very much rice with it AND it was REALLY salty, so we asked if we could get a little bit more rice. It came in the regular cup size and it did help soak up some of the saltiness HOWEVER it cost us $4.49, yes you read that right! I know it isn't the waitress's fault that they charged us for rice with GOLD in it, but come on people!!! If we had known we needed to take out a second mortgage to buy a cup of rice we would have skipped it So $32.98 for 1/2 order of swamp fries, dinner portion etouffee and a cup of rice. I had very high expectations but unfortunately I was very disappointed. I ordered the chicken fried steak. At first look it was a good size. But once I started to cut in to it, I was half way through before I hit meat. There is so much excess batter. It came with green beans, it has a distinct flavor, not something I liked. I also ordered popcorn crawfish. It also had a unique taste which I did not find pleasant. Since this restaurant has only recently opened, I hope they are still working things out, but I would be reluctant to try it again. read more

Quite the disappointing experience here today. Our waitress, Danni* unfortunately failed to tend to us today. The one star was only because I had to put something. We had to ask for the hostess to track her down in order to get refills on drinks and the option to order appetizers. After waiting 45 minutes to get our food, many or the entrees were cold. We again told our waiter and she said "okay" and walked off. We watched her cash out other tables and never once returned to us. We subsequently asked to speak to the manager and as opposed to him offering to warm the meals, he preferred to argue with us. We asked for the plates to be warmed and the manager just started to pick the plates up. We asked what happened and he said that's all he could do at this point, despite trying to explain that it could be solved, we were just told to have a good day. This has by far been the worst experience and I will not be returning and I would encourage you guys not to. Customer service goes a long way, even during these times. We NEVER once complained about the wait and still received this treatment. It should be noted we were the only table seated in the upstairs area at the time, so this was a bit off putting. Boo rays was super super super delicious, we had the craw fish and the crawfish fondue it was delicious. Good size craw fish well seasoned, I'm telling ya they had monsters for craw fish! The bread for the fondue was insanely soft and perfectly buttered. The beer was a beer but they had happy hour which did take a $1 off. The staff was very friendly and sweet they explained everything we asked about. All in all, place was perfect, very very very clean bathrooms as well. Got seated immediately and waited about 15 minutes with no acknowledgement to ask what drinks we'd like. Three staff members walked past us. We finally got up and walked out. From the outside appearance we were hoping for jazz and New Orleans vibe. There is music playing but it's hardly audible over the TV. The wait staff needs training on customer service. If they are having a bad day, do not take it out on customers. If they ask if they can get anything and they are told you need something, bring it. Crowley TX Location we had the Fried Catfish, no flavor really bland and not much flavor in red bean and rice, and green beans really weird sauce did not like. Kids had the hand burger and they did not like and tried bite same no flavor and over cooked. The service was great, but the food compared to Razoo or there place for fish or Cajun not even close. When you think Cajun you think great season and spice not bland. read more

My wife and I have been looking forward to eating here ever since we moved into the area. We were prepared to be faced with "growing pains" as the restaurant has only been open for about a week. Crowley Boo Ray's consistently has excellent food. I was there with a group of 6 women. We ordered a variety of food and it was all very good. I had blackened red fish with mashed potatoes and squash. The red fish was cooked perfectly. For dessert I had the chocolate cream cheese pecan pie. Everyone tasted it (with clean spoons). We all agreed it was outstanding and will order it again. Others had the bread pudding which is wonderful. The only negative is that few people, even the employees were wearing masks so if that's a concern, you need to order takeout and they have curbside. read more

Just tried this restaurant for the first time. I was not impressed especially considering the prices they charge. We started with crab cakes and I ordered blackened tilapia and my partner ordered fried shrimp. The crab cakes were mushy and had no lump crab in them at all. My tilapia was good but the dirty rice tasted like it came from a box and the green beans were swimming in a really strange sauce. The fried shrimp were good but overpriced. read more

Best cajun food I've had in a very long time. Large portions and expertly seasoned. Puts Razoo's to shame. Our new place to go!

The food here is excellent, the platter is big enough to feed 3 people. The staff is very friendly. Very expansive menu.

We heard from a friend that Boo-ray's opened a location in Crowley so we came to see visit the restaurant. They have a great bar and seating area. Drinks were good and prices are reasonable. I ordered the catfish plate and it was room temperature at best and my husband had the jambalaya with three pieces of sausage, chicken pieces and limited shrimp needless and a massive amount of rice it was lukewarm at best. He said if he wanted a plate of Mexican rice his wife could have made it at home!!! Hopefully they will get better. read more

Everything was delicious ... we ordered oysters on the half shell, fried alligator, fried pickles and so many more appetizers. The manager Cody was extremely helpful to our birthday group and went the extra mile to accommodate us. I was so happy to have our little group assigned to the "Bayou Room". It was a great location with several televisions playing the football games. One of our waitstaff "Logan" was extremely fun and festive. All of the entrees were perfectly prepared, big thank you to the chef. Don't forget to add dessert after eating a fantastic meal. No room, no worries... get it to go. You won't be disappointed. After all the hype about this place and waiting so long to get food from here, the Catfish was decent. Jambalaya was ok but could use more flavor. The Cajun caviar was good get them fried that's the best way. Now on to the oysters, how can I put it..... they were just not good. We ordered them char broiled and I have never tasted oysters that were that bad. We only ate one each (two in total) and threw the rest away. We tried out Boo Rays today after the release of the Stay at Home order. We deliberately went at an off time in case high traffic times caused long wait times due to 25% capacity restrictions. The food was delicious. But what impressed me was the level of preparedness for customer safety. Many tables were removed. Existing tables were spaced apart. There was no condiment clutter on any table. Individual salt and pepper packets were available upon request. Everything was arranged to be as easily cleaned as possible while still providing you great service. The wait staff approached wearing masks and gel sanitizer was available at the door.
