MUST HAVE THE BREAD PUDDING! I got 1/2 stuffed shrimp. 1/2 Jalepeno catfish. Squash and sautéed mushrooms. All delicious! I love that they let you order 1/2 of entrees so you get a variety. No where else does that I know of. Lots and lots of room for large groups.

It has honestly been awhile since we have been here but of course it is as good as always. Staff is always super friendly. The inside? All I have to say is Mardi Gras.

I selected Boo Rays conveniently locating Crowley, Texas , to eat my birthday dinner yesterday. The atmosphere was delightful. We got seated immediately and started out ordering our drinks which took an extremely long time to receive and unfortunately we received them AFTER we got our meal. Which is the opposite of how I like to drink my before dinner drink . The menu was full of delightful choices , making it hard to choose. Yet I chose the stuffed chicken, dirty rice and green beans my family selected chicken fried steak dinner and sweet potato fries.. I had forgotten they were a bit pricey but they make it worth the price. Our waitress was friendly and made sure that we were happy with our meals. We picked the perfect time to go, which is about 5:30 in the afternoon and good thing we did because about six it started getting crowded. Very popular place in Crowley, Texas.. I took photos of the menu, our meals, inside decor, and as we were leaving, I took photos of the outside. I'm sure we will be going back. It's a delightful place to enjoy a good Cajun meal and have a good time. I recommend BooRays to family and friends. I suggest you go eat a good meal and enjoy yourself as we did. Thanks BooRays for a nice birthday dinner.

Boo-Ray's appears to be a culinary journey that captures the essence of New Orleans cuisine, the only creole/cajun spot that's worth driving to from Allen to Crowley. It's certainly a place worth revisiting. The atmosphere at Boo-Ray's sets the stage for a delightful dining experience. The casual yet inviting ambiance provides a comfortable backdrop for savoring a taste of cajun/creole cuisine. The combination of the refreshing Abita Amber and the assortment of seafood dishes creates a harmonious symphony of flavors. The Fried Catfish is undoubtedly a highlight. Its crispy exterior gives way to tender, flaky fish, providing a satisfying contrast of textures and flavor. The Jalapeño Catfish, with its rich, creamy sauce infused with the zesty kick of jalapeños, adds a distinctive and memorable touch. This dish showcases a careful balance of creaminess and spice atop a deep fried fresh catfish. The side of red beans and rice complements the meal perfectly, offering a hearty and comforting accompaniment. The crab bisque is a luxurious addition to the meal. It serves as a decadent interlude, elevating the overall dining experience. In all, Boo Ray's impresses with its skillful execution of classic cajun/creole fare. The attention to detail in each dish, from the freshness of the seafood to the nuanced flavors of the sauces, showcases a commitment to quality. The selection of beers adds a local touch, providing a refreshing and complementary beverage choice. I'm just always happy to have Abita Amber on tap.

This bread pudding is really good! Grab extra sauce you will thank me later!

Pros: The will cater to whatever way you want your food cooked! Seriously the owner and all staff are aware if they can do something, they will do it. Oysters they will do them however you want just ask! -Staff is very kind, get a big ol welcome and treated better than any other restaurant in the area. Cons- Gumbo, needs a lot of work -Crawfish ettoufette is done northern style, very plain, no taste, no spice or flavor, very bad. Please find new recipe, preferably south west recipe, this could be your number one seller easily if you fixed it. -Shrimp Poboys is lacking something, please take a trip to southwest Louisiana and fix this too. Has no flavor, it's missing some type of sauce, can't put my finger on it! I have to drive all the way to Dallas to get a decent poboy. -After you eat here about 5 times, hard to come back as I'm limited to just oysters, all the southern dishes that I like get old, if they would fix the gumbo and crawfish ettoufette I would eat here 2 times a week.

The server was very friendly! My husband ordered all you can eat fish. Server made sure he brought over more hot fish. All of the food was delicious. Husband ordered bread pudding to go.

Do not skip appetizers! Soooo many great choices!

True OG southern hospitality is alive and thriving here! We ordered a few appetizers and a catfish platter- nothing disappointed and service was efficient and fast. Ask for Kat- she not only has amazing tattoos but an in-depth knowledge of menu as well as great anticipation of your needs. Restaurant is two stories. When we asked Kat what it was like upstairs- she laughed and said more of the same just higher up. Love her spirit! If you are looking for chill, great food that is fairly easy on the pocketbook- this is for you. Checkout happy hour hours- pretty generous.

Amazing food and the service is excellent! Taylor is the best, customer service is out of sight and she makes an amazing drink. Happy hour appetizer deals are good. We will be back again and again.

You're gonna want to lick your plate, seriously! Needs more atmosphere but maybe a crowd of Texans would help.

Best cajun food I've had in a very long time. Large portions and expertly seasoned. Puts Razoo's to shame. Our new place to go!

Our waitress, was very nice and she made sure, that we all, had everything we needed to enjoy our meals. The food is really good their, everyone enjoyed their food meal, that they ordered. I recommend, this restaurant and I will be returning.

Food The entrées and sides were the highlight of the visit -- well‑prepared, flavorful, and worth the price. *Garlic Caper Salmon -- ***** ($22.00) Perfectly cooked, great balance of flavors. *Blackened Rainbow Trout -- ***** ($20.00) Seasoned well, cooked just right. *Iced Tea -- **** ($2.99) solid, nothing to complain about. *Banana Pudding -- **** ($8.00) Tasty, comforting dessert. *Bread Pudding -- *** ($9.00) Decent, but not as strong as the other dishes. *Service & Atmosphere This is where things fell short. The service felt detached, as if the waitress was distracted or simply going through the motions. The overall vibe in the restaurant -- felt unusually downcast, which affected the dining experience. *Would I Return? I would absolutely visit this franchise again, because the food is worth it. But returning to the Burleson location specifically is questionable based on the atmosphere and service during this visit.
