Tried out CS Cajun Seafood House. The food was really good, I got the 2 lb combo with easy peel shrimp and crawfish, with add on boiled egg. The flavor was great. I got the mild Cajun, will go spicier next time. The service was friendly and fast. The ambiance of the restaurant was clean, calm and relaxing. Got to watch deal or no deal while eating. Well, well... recommended by a friend. I went to try this place with my son. I'll just explain how it works. It's a very small place and you just kind of pick where you're gonna sit. However, you must go to the front counter and order your food first. My only experience the lady was not nice or friendly. She was not helpful. She just kind of shoved the menu in my face. Other people came and knew what they wanted and ordered and left and we were a little confused about the menu. Well, once we figured it out, we ordered our crab and shrimp and waited at the table. It was very good prices were reasonable, not overpriced, but not just okay. The place had a strange vibe, because of the other reviews, we may try it again, but we will see. Horrible customer service, we walk in and sit down. The cashier sits down behind the register we ask is anyone going to serve us, (we are literally the only ppl in the restauran) and she says come up to the counter to order! Talk about a hole in the wall kind of place! This place maybe small, but this place has so much potential! The service was great and the young lady at the counter was friendly and share her recommendations on the menu. We decided to have the snow crab combo with a pound of shrimp with their mixed flavors which is the Cajun and we decided on the medium spice. We will most likely go spicy next time. We also decided to try out their wings and their fried catfish. I was very surprised how great the food was especially for the price! My fiance and I come here for the first time. Ordered quite a bit of food. The best thing was the chefs box, though I would argued maybe needs a little more sauce. -WE WILL NOT BE BACK- Our negative experience came when a young man came in, probably early 20s, obviously homeless/traveler. He politely asked for a cup of ice water to which the cashier responds "will be $.50 for the cup of ice" he pats his pockets and says nevermind and goes to walk out. I stand up and offer to pay for his water and pulled my card out - she refused to take money from me and gave him the cup. (WOULDNT TAKE THE $.50 FROM THE PERSON THAT CAN AFFORD IT BUT WOULD FROM SOMEONE WHO COULDN'T" Once he left she said "we just can't give free stuff or they will keep coming in" you know what... It's almost 100°f outside. We are in Texas. He asked politely. He didn't look like he was strung out or crazy. Just looked like a young kid down on his luck. That cup he took maybe costed $.05 MAYBE. But being kind and emphatic costs you NOTHING. Some people will agree with the restaurant, and that's fine you are entitled to not care about other humans that deserve grace and kindness just like you, but I hope you never find yourself in a position where something as simple and necessary as water is unattainable because people don't fucking care about other people. read more

I can only speak for the fried catfish and fried oysters, fried shrimp. All of it is frozen. Nothing fresh about it as is claimed on the website. The fried catfish was OK but when I bit into the oyster that was the weirdest taste ever. I didn't realize there was such thing as breaded frozen oysters, but they're sure is. And they are terrible! Everything I ate, came straight from the grocery store frozen section. I asked if we could send the oysters back and get fried shrimp. We were asked if we had ever eaten fried oysters before. I think because we are in North Texas they think we have never had real seafood before. When the fried shrimp came, I knew immediately they were straight out of a bag. I have to assume everything they sell is frozen food. And they have absolutely no vegetables whatsoever. The lady in front was very nice. The ambience pretty pitiful. The food was amazing, but they do not have metal silverware/scissors or anything to properly open the crab legs. You are provided with a seafood pick and a cracker. Maybe I'm an amateur, or just not strong enough, but I could not get my crab leg open for the life of me and ended up stabbing myself in the hand with the pick and dropping the leg on the floor. Ended up going next door to buy scissors at Kroger in order to even eat the meal. Thats the ONLY reason I didn't give a 5 star review.
