I had the chance to try hard kombucha for the first time and let's just say I've officially found a new favorite drink. Boochcraft absolutely delivered. The flavors were bold, rich and you could genuinely taste the real fruit in every sip. I tried the Grapefruit Hibiscus and Ginger Lime, both were solid, but the grapefruit stole the show for me. Refreshing, well balanced and not overly sweet. You can tell this is made with quality ingredients. On top of that, I really appreciate that Boochcraft is organic and supports sustainable practices, it makes enjoying a drink like this feel even better. If you're looking to switch things up from the usual cocktails or beer, this is 100% worth trying. Full of flavor, easy to enjoy and I can't wait to come back and try more. read more

Get new glass cups!! My booch flights were delicious. Thank goodness I didn't cut my lip on one of the cups that was cracked and leaking. Sliced glass cups not a good look for my first time. Took it up to the cashier thought he would've comped it. Nope just gave me a new cup. The venue is neat as it has a bunch of restaurants downstairs foodie heaven will need to come back and try. Apparently this boochcraft is moving. Loved all the flavors. I'm a fan of hard booch! Can't wait to see you in your new location. Hopefully by then you'll have all new glassware. :) read more

Boochcraft is literally the ONE thing I miss from living in California. When we lived here we had two kegs on tap in our home at all times, and regularly bought cans to experience the other flavors we didn't have on tap. We moved to a Boochcraft-free zone, so when we visit, this is a "must stop". Our most recent visit was extremely pleasant, as always, and Jordan was so helpful and answered all our questions. We drank a lot of Boochcraft, learned of all their special offers, and left with a lot of Boochcraft and related swag. We learned from Jordan that Boochcraft is now in Florida, and that combined with it also being in Pennsylvania means it's closing in on us and it's only a matter of time before it'll be in my state. Until then, I'll bring coolers with me when I travel to Texas, Florida and Pennsylvania and stock up on cans for my can fridge at home. This location is consistent in its ambiance and experience and is a fun place to try out new flavors that are not available elsewhere. Our favorite new flavor was Cranberry Green Tea (10% alcohol, oh my). Can't wait to go back, and likely will again on this trip. read more

First of all, the venue. Boochcraft is in the Brewer's Deck which is upstairs from the Skydeck restaurants at the Del Mar Highlands mall. It shares the space with two other beer-focused breweries and it's a great place to view Carmel Valley and the Del Mar bluffs to the west. Great place to view the sunset. Boochcraft has about 8 seats at their bar which are nicely padded now. It has no TV and it's a bit of distance to the large screen TV at the end of the deck. You can sit at the bar or get served from the end and take your drink to one of the many tables. There's a smartphone-based system for ordering food from the restaurants in the Skydeck below. Boochcraft serves exclusively hard kombucha. There are a number of creative and delicious flavors. They have a number of standards as well as seasonal flavors. Everyone that I tried was quite good and my favorites were delicious. Maybe to delicious. Need to remember that these are 7% alcohol, and not over do it because they go down so easily. The service here was tremendous. There was one server, and I don't remember her name but she was very good about making recommendations and providing unlimited tasters so you could taste before ordering a pint. Overall, a great place to spend an afternoon or evening. read more

The blueberry ginger ale flavor was so yum! Not too ginger-y, just enough to taste it. I'm new to hard kombucha, so it was cool to learn that they make theirs "fresh" with real fruit juice on-site. We enjoyed the rooftop, it was good vibes all around. They were running a really good deal on their passionfruit blood orange six packs, so I snagged one. I'm excited to try it at home, and if it's as good as the blueberry ginger ale, then Boochcraft has a new fan! read more

Anthony and Jordan are both amazing! Very personable and friendly tenders. My favorite is the pineapple passion and the ginger lime. All of their kombucha is organic and made with real fruit. Great place to get together with friends and very dog friendly. Highly recommend visiting on Mondays for music bingo! read more

Extremely disappointing. My friend and I were the only customers in the taproom on my first visit, and I asked a simple question about the brewery but was completely ignored by the bartender, Jordan, who was sitting on her laptop. She acknowledged my friend but not me. Being treated that way, blatantly ignored for no reason, is rude, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I won't be returning. read more

I came to the Skydeck hoping to check out a different bar, but they didn't allow dogs. Luckily, the bar brewery upstairs did allow dogs and had a few drink options including Boochcraft. Since I'm not a big fan of beer, I decided to try some hard kombucha. The flavors sounded right up my alley with its fruity options. I got a flight ($12) consisting of Strawberry Lemonade, Ginger Lime, Peach Iced Tea, and Apricot Earl Grey. There was a hint of each flavor that I can taste, but the sourness and carbonation was just a bit too much for me. Looks like I'm not a fan of kombucha either, but nice to try. Lovely place to spend a Sunday afternoon sipping on some kombucha. Throughout the shared seating area, TVs could be found all around. I truly enjoyed all the flavors I had in my flight. located in the sky deck in Del Mar is boochcraft! My friend told me to come by here because I'm on a hard kombucha wave. I do think this is some of the best I've had, the flavors are spot on, & so delicious. The cherry one they had was unreal. I had to go back and get more of it lol. I didn't have a single flavor from my flight that I didn't like. Server was super sweet and helpful. I really love that you can order food from downstairs and have it brought up to your table. Super nice because if everyone you go with is in a different mood for food, you all can get different spots! I'll be back! read more

Drinks with friends around 4pm on Monday. This bar is located within Skydeck and is one of several places in an upscale food court. I liked this place as it had a view of the decorated palm trees and was an indoor/outdoor situation. You do have to go to the bar and serve yourself. Also, you can order food from select establishments and they will bring you your order in to-go boxes. Such is the time in a pandemic. At first it was pretty empty but by 6, it started to get very busy. I loved the various flavors of hard kombucha. Would come back for a casual drink. read more

The booch flights and different flavors were awesome! The ambiance was very nice since it's kind of outdoors on a second story building. Our boochtender Jordan was amazing, very kind, courteous, and attentive. I will definitely be back here due to the great service and also the amazing drinks! My friend and I checked out the upper level of Sky Deck in Del Mar and Boochcraft was one of the vendors located up there. I decided to get a 4 flavor flight of hard kombucha and chose the following: strawberry lemonade, watermelon chili, agua de jamaica, and passionfruit blood orange. The flight came on a cute little board. I'm not much of a drinker, so my friend helped LOL. Both of our favorites was the strawberry lemonade- it was refreshing, light, and easy to drink. This place is a vibe! A flight of 4 different flavor hard Kombuchas for $12? Amazing. The atmosphere is awesome. Walk into Skydeck, go to the right and upstairs and its an incredible view. We want to come back so we can catch the sunset. Lots of tables and outdoor heating. Peter helped us out when we came and he was super friendly, chill and helpful. We came back the next day because we loved it so much. It wasn't crowded at all for a Sunday night, and we bet this is going to be one of the new "spots". Reviewing the product since I can't find where to do that separately. I love the ginger lime flavor and it appears to be no longer distributed in Texas. I've reached out to the company for help in finding a place or way I can get this drink I love and have been totally ignored. Not a way to run a business, especially one that is clearly trying to go. Loyal customers are what you want no? Or you just don't care? This is probably one of the two spots at sky deck that doesn't have an hour wait (on a Friday night). There's seatings outdoors but it can get packed. There's a QR code on the table so you can order take out from the selected restaurants in the center. They will bring the food out to your table. I thought this was pretty cool. Got a flight of kombucha. I think it was $12 for 4. So pretty cheap. read more

Super stoked that this place is open and can't wait for the entire Sky Deck to open! Their Hard Kombucha is tasty. You can definitely taste the hint of flavors within each kombucha. For starters I want to say I LOVE kimbucha, I've brewed it myself and taught my own dad how to brew. I've loved pretty much every alcoholic and non alcoholic booch I've ever met. Until today. I couldn't take more than one sip of 3 of the 4 drinks on my flight. The one I did drink was purely out of guilt about being wasteful. I hate leaving bad reviews and saying this but that was the worst kombucha I've ever had and this is coming from someone who's sipped many home brews. So this is a warning I guess to kombucha fanatics that it just isn't good stuff. Very heavy in the added flavors to be fair but missing that fermented kick one expects. The girl bartending was clearly very new and an ability delight so no knock on the service just meh product. I liked the beer my husband ordered from the brewery next door so much more which isn't a positive. Beautiful seating and view. read more

I drink kombucha regularly but this was my first time trying hard kombucha! The flight is such a good deal: 12 dollars for 4 decent servings. I got the strawberry lemonade, mint mojito, passion fruit blood orange, and apple jasmine. The first two were delicious, the blood orange was okay, and I don't recommend the apple jasmine unless you like the taste of beer. It didn't really have any apple flavor. We went on a weekend and the place was packed. Although we could only manage to find a seat facing the parking lot, the views around the whole rooftop were still really pretty. It seems like dogs are allowed here as well; someone brought their two Australian shepherds. I look forward to coming back and trying the other flavors! read more

Do you like hard kombucha? Well, you should. Boochcraft's bar is nestled between two beer bars in the Del Mar Highlands Brewer's Deck, offering a bright and refreshing alternative to the usual IPA. I went here for a quick drink and found myself in awe of the sky deck. I was quickly drawn to Boochcraft with it colorful board and merch, and it's chill vibes. The bartender was so friendly, I could've stayed and chatted it up for a good hour while she poured it. The hard kombucha I tried was a seasonal hibiscus lemonade. Fresh, and not too carbon-y and not too sour. This is a great place to be alone, with friends, or your doggo. read more

We happened to find Boochcraft when going to the Sky Deck in Del Mar to hang out with a friend. I am a big fan of Kombucha in general, so finding Kombucha with alcohol in it was definitely a plus! I recommend getting the flight because that allows you to try four different flavors instead of settling for just one. It is super affordable and when we came they were celebrating their birthday, so Boochcraft provided the flight with a side of macarons which was a cute/nice touch. Seating can be limited if it gets crowded, dogs are allowed, and they even have QR codes that let you order from the restaurants just below Boochcraft. Hope to come again soon and it is a great place to hang out with friends. read more

Let me start by saying I love kombucha. I also love boochcraft since I've been buying the grapefruit hibiscus in stores for some time. The whole experience here at the bar is way better! Such a vibe. I of course had to try the flight because they only sell their most popular in stores. Their watermelon chili and mint mojito are amazing. My favorite out of my flight was the strawberry lemonade. This is the place to get the full boochcraft experience And yes....my picture has empty glasses. They were just so good! read more

I recently came here with my girlfriend and some friends and it was a great place to relax and hang out with friends. I like kombucha, so having hard kombucha was great! We ordered their flight so that we could try a bunch of different flavors, (recommend this for sure!). They had a lot of outdoor seating and shared the space with other drink places. The vibe was great and the location was easy to find. There was a cool view of the sunset and different food options below Boochcraft. Great rooftop location at the Sky Deck so you can bring to-go food from nearby restaurants and get a drink. The menu selection was pretty good, they had several flavors I could have ordered...but I decided to order the watermelon chili. It wasn't as flavorful as I expected (could've used more watermelon or more chili), but not bad. read more

She chose the L-shaped cozy furniture, and we occupied that and the adjacent table. They had a basket with blankets in them right by the door, which was a nice touch. Every single drink we had was delicious: lager ("crushable" -my husband), peachy peach (my favorite), strawberry kiwi crush, blood orange mint, and grapefruit splash. They all tasted exactly as described. For food, we ordered grilled cheese, chili smash burger, and both types of fries. My husband is picky about burgers and my daughter is picky about all food, but their chosen foods were a HIT. The service was great, and the ambiance was perfect. I know it's silly but there were so many small details that show the care that went into this place, from the tiles on the bar to the hand painted leaves in the bathrooms. They have a little free library, games, and merch in one area as well. Seriously so cute, and a new favorite spot for us for sure!

The service never felt rushed even though we came close to close. I also had no idea we walked in during their "US Hour" from 12:00 to 2:30, so that ended up being a nice surprise. They offer $7 draft beers, $9 wine, $10 mimosas, plus a handful of bites for $9. We started with the Fried Calamari Tentacles from the US Hour menu. They're served with Japanese mayo, although it tasted like there was some citrus mixed in because it had a nice tangy kick. Whatever it was, it worked really well with the crispy calamari. To drink, I ordered the Yuzu Matcha Mimosa. It had a really vibrant green color that almost reminded me of green juice. I actually enjoyed it. The matcha flavor came through without getting lost. My friend wasn't the biggest fan because they thought it leaned a little too bitter, so I think this one depends on how much you already enjoy matcha. For my entree, I ordered the Duck and Waffles ($24), which comes with crispy duck confit, a waffle, passionfruit guava sauce, and chili crunch. This was easily the highlight of the meal. The duck was cooked perfectly. It was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned just enough to let the meat shine. I also appreciated that the chili crunch actually had some heat instead of just being there for texture. The waffle was light and fluffy. I'm a sucker for sweet and savory combinations, so the powdered sugar paired with the rich duck was enough to win me over. The passionfruit guava sauce was the only part I wasn't completely sold on. It wasn't bad by any means. I just think it's one of those flavors that comes down to personal preference. We had the Beignets (5 for $12) to share, and I ordered the Curry Hamburg ($20), a Black Sesame Latte ($7) w/ a shot of Matcha (+$2), and a Matcha Yuzu Mimosa ($13) for myself. The beignets, perfectly shared between the 5 of us, were a bit too dense and possessed a weirdly hard outer crust. The matcha cream and black sesame mascarpone serving as dips made them a little more enjoyable. The black sesame latte was deliciously nutty, but the matcha shot at the $2 up charge was exorbitant. (Note: This is their only caffeine addition -- along with hojicha -- as they do not have an espresso machine). I was very disappointed in the Curry Hamburg, unfortunately. This was a failed attempt at omurice. The egg, while plentiful, was not even seasoned. Further, the equally unseasoned hamburger patty was very dry and the sauce over-salty. They should have distributed the salt and seasoning throughout the dish because it lacked serious balance. They just added beer and mimosas, so the Matcha Yuzu Mimosa, though overkill with the Matcha (and likely wasted), did ease the ache some. I made reservations online via OpenTable where I had to put a credit card down and agree to the seemingly shady policy regarding party changes within a 24 hour period. We were seated immediately, but they gave us a table with some weird wooden fold-up chairs. Our table was strangely the only one with these uncomfortable chairs. It was also excessively loud and we almost didn't learn the name of our server, who, by the way, was PHENOMENAL despite some of the disappointment with the food! Thank you (Mick) Jagger for taking care of us and getting our food out to us so quickly!

Bf and I tried the yuzu, passionfruit, blood orange, prickly pear and yuzu blend flavors. We liked the straight up yuzu and blood orange best, so bought some cans to take home. The owner was kind enough to gift us a free can of the OG - since we're locals, generous gestures like that plus the quality product will definitely have us coming back.

I enjoyed the fact that there was such a wise selection, but honestly couldn't go back for years because it was only open for 4ish hours at a time 2-3 days a week. I see the hours have been updated on Yelp recently giving customers more opportunities to visit so maybe I'll swing by again to see what flavors are currently in rotation
