The Watermelon Lime flavored Kombucha from Nova!
    Alden C.

Delving into kombucha again is always a pleasant change of pace for our drinking experiences. Nova proved to generate this and was no exception to our previous experiences at all. Steve and I got two different flavors of kombucha from Nova and we really enjoyed them. The first one we got was the Guava Mint. This was very refreshing especially with the mint at play here. The Guava aspect was good as well. It's a fruit we aren't typically used to having but the two main flavors combined were excellent. The other flavor we had was the Watermelon Lime. This one wasn't too sweet as when involving Watermelon can be so that was a pleasant change of pace and the sourness at play made a pleasant balance that came from the lime. No one aspect of flavor is too dominant in either of the flavors we had but instead was well rounded and balanced and gave the kombucha a fun and intriguing complexity.

Came across the street for a beer on a Thursday night, while waiting for our to go. They have a television and dance studio next door. Cool murals painted in the wall. Service was just ok, non existent. Nova offers both beer and kombucha. We ordered the POG Hazy and Lager. The POG was tasty, while the Lager was bland. Both were served on the warm side, not as chilled as a beer should be.

So much variety of alcoholic kombucha flavors. I like the Hibiscus Lavander and Azteks Raspberry. They offer pint, flight, and 1/2 pint, and gallon size They're most popular is Sexy Mojito and Sexy Pinacolada. Most alcoholic kombucha is 6-10% depending on flavor. 2 Restrooms. They have front table/bar seating or more seating in the back where the pool and foosball tables are at. Pool table. Foosball. There are card games like Uno, Cards Against Humanity, etc. Dylan was super helpful and recommended flavors that was delicious! Service is fast. I like that it's kombucha on tap! Please expand to LA area!!!

I love hard kombucha! But as far as brewery-type places, Nova was pretty unimpressive. Drinks are alright, and ambiance is lacking. But that's coming from me, as someone who lives close to Miramar and all the larger vibier breweries. If in the area, maybe I'd stop by again... but definitely not a go-to spot. Fortunately, they sell cans of Nova kombucha at the grocery store, so that's the easier preferable option for me.

I absolutely love this kombucha place! I have been many times when visiting ocean beach. It's a must try while in the area you won't be disappointed. My favorite is the hot cactus! You can either order a single glass or a flight. The flight is a great option to try a variety of flavors. Today I tried the dragon fruit (new flavor from the last time I was in) and it's very good! We bought a pack to go of this flavor because we liked it so much. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It's fun to sit outside, enjoy the sun and people watch while enjoying the kombucha. They recently opened a game room in the back with pool, fuseball, and a variety of board games to choose from. The vibes inside and out are great. The staff are all super friendly and you can taste the flavors before buying. This is an awesome kombucha place with great flavor options and good service.

Maggie the best bartender at the nova / novo franchise. Been coming here since they opened this location and I hope it never leaves!

OB is a unique place and Nova gives its own unique experience compared to all the other options here. Maggie is the best bartender!

As an East Coaster, I was amazed by this place, especially since I'm not a big beer drinker. What a fun concept! I would have imagined a kombucha-focused bar would be a bit niche, but this place must be pretty popular, since the space is huge. The main bar area is very open and colorful and the back has lots of games. Even the outdoor area is solid, with plenty of tables. The bartenders were awesome and let us try a few samples of the kombucha. They had a bunch of funky flavors, which I really appreciated, and I liked all the ones that I tried. The kombucha itself didn't taste too boozy and was almost a less sweet version of a regular kombucha. I had an amazing time visiting this spot and would totally go back the next time I'm in San Diego!

Stopped by for a drink at Nova Easy Kombucha down the street after my friends and I were done visiting Ocean Beach Farmers Market. The Hard Kombucha here is delicious. I love kombucha so Hard Kombucha will always hit the spot. Got Peachy Lychee and Watermelon Mint. Both were delicious, I always love anything Watermelon flavored. You can order by the Pint or Half Pint. The drinks didn't blow my mind but this was my first time seeing a watermelon hard kombucha which I appreciated. I also appreciate that this is almost an exclusive kombucha taproom. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but would definitely stop by if I'm in the area. Parking can be tough, you have to just find street parking. The area where I parked was free next to the homes but some areas may be paid metered street parking. Service is friendly. There is inside and outside patio seating, I sat outside since it was a nice night. Loved the outside seating, has a chill, casual vibe. I thought price was fair.

Eye catching place from the street - walked by here a couple times before deciding to drop in. It was during a time when there was a sports game on and SD was playing so it was a pretty big deal. It was rowdy and loud that night but it was full of life and excitement! I was here with a friend and we had 2 drinks each during our time there. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating were high tables w/ barstools. The lighting was nice and the interior was bright and fun. Great place to meet up with co-workers, friends, or on a date. The bartender was super chill to talk to. I was able to taste test a few flavors of kombucha before selecting my first pick. Hibiscus Lavender, Watermelon Mint, and Hot Cactus were my testers and I went with Hibiscus Lavender out of the 3. I will probably expand into trying of flavors on the board that I typically might gravitate towards like Peach Lychee, Peach Passion, Mango Chilli... heck, I'd actually want to taste test the rest of them just to double check, lol.

Love this place! It has the best hard kombucha I have ever tried; the place has a variety of flavors. Has a smaller selection of beers but interesting and fun flavors. Overall, highly recommend!

Beers are excellent and they even have ones that are rare to find like Cascade brewery (once the keg is empty it's gone forever, since Cascade closed). I immediately enjoyed the open environment and the bar set up, but the high top tables were scattered seemingly randomly throughout the restaurant, making it very hard to weave your way through if you need to get to the back of the restaurant for any reason or to use the restroom. Our waitress was very friendly and always smiling, which was really refreshing. We ordered two drinks (not pictured), but I had a hard kombucha or cider that was made by the taproom and very delicious. We ordered the chicken wings and spicy tuna melt with sweet potato fries. Both items came out hot and we're satisfying, but you're not going to have an aha culinary moment here. All in all, I would definitely return for the drinks and atmosphere, but would not run back for the food.

As a girl who was born and raised in the Midwest with immaculate BBQ, I was skeptical that San Diego BBQ could be good (no offense I miss you Porky Butts in Omaha, Nebraska... this was the food I had at my wedding...lots of love!). But wow! I was super impressed by their brisket! Prime rib brisket...? Never had heard of her but wow was it so good. It wasn't dry which is easy to do with brisket and it was flavorful. Their BBQ sauce was good. Another amazing thing about Coaster Saloon is they have homemade ranch!!!! :') That was really good with their fries which were also good. The mac n cheese was also incredible. Food was great! Service was also amazing! We had a great server who was friendly and personable. They have lots of cool photos of Belmont Park from years ago as well as an open air concept with lots of seating. There is a big bar as well as lots of tvs inside. The virgin piña colada was probably the worst one I've had. It wasn't a typical white color of a piña colada and wasn't creamy it tasted more like lime citrus. I didn't enjoy it very much. Definitely would come back for the food, but not for the blended drinks. Well done Coaster Saloon!

We chose a spot near the bar and close to a large garage-door opening; the breeze coming through was fantastic while we sat on some very comfortable chairs. This place is family-friendly. The family next to us had several kids, and they all looked like they were having a great time. They also had a Cubs game on, which was awesome to keep me entertained--it's always nice to watch a team other than the home team on TV. For food, we ordered the crispy potatoes, which had a great crunch on the outside and a super soft inside that complemented the toppings perfectly. We also got an Italian sandwich that came with juicy banana peppers--I made sure to get one with every single bite. The sandwich had the right meat-to-bread ratio for me, though my wife felt there was a bit too much bread and ended up removing half of it before finishing. We wrapped up the meal with a sausage and pepperoni pizza, which I enjoyed a lot. The pepperoni was juicy (not burnt or rubbery), the sausage was full of flavor, and the crust came out just how I like it: thin, crispy, and easily foldable so you can hold it with one hand and bite right in. To drink, my wife had a JuneShine and I had a non-alcoholic Athletic IPA, which tasted just like a real IPA. Overall, the place was great because of the atmosphere. We always like to give credit where it's due: Jason, our server, noticed we hadn't been attended to right away when we sat down, immediately came over, and took care of us with high energy and excellent customer service. Great job, Jason! We'll definitely be back soon. Have you been to Far Corner? Do you like pizza? Let us know in the comments!
