This was my second visit to this location, and I ordered a steak special which was a cheesesteak with lettuce tomatoes, and mayo. I had a delicious veggie sandwich here, it was overflowing with sprouts and avocado and tomato and lots more, yay! They also had this vinaigrette that had something in it, I don't know what but we were all dipping our sandwiches into that stuff. If you're looking to grab something quick to eat, this place is great. They're pretty friendly and the food comes out fast. I've had the chili here multiple times, as well as the spinach salad. I went there on 12/5/18 evening around between 9-10pm at the Friendship Heights location and bought a Chocolate shake and got sick, had to use the bathroom more than 4 times until the next day also. I'm voicing this out so that it won't happen to another customer in the near future. I called to speak to a manager Ayala yesterday 12/6/18 at 3:10pm Ayala said to call today 12/7 and speak to Rumuna da general manager. I advised Roxana (manager) about the situation and she said that she is the only manager to speak to and that she doesn't know why did Ayala gave me that information. I then asked for Rumana and gave Roxana my contact info. I hope to get a call from Rumana or any Supervisor about this unfortunate matter. read more

This place is fantastic for catering. Easy to work with, flexible with changes on the way, and gave great advice on the amount of food to order for the size of our group. The food was delivered right on time, presentation looked great, food was fresh and delicious. Really liked the broccoli and potato salads and the sandwiches, as well as their brownies and cookies. I haven't tried the froyo, but have tried the food. The steak and cheese sandwich that I tried was semi-decent; the baguette on which the sandwich was served was cold, however. I also ordered a hot chocolate, which tasted pretty much like any generic Swiss Miss would taste. All gripes aside, they are open until midnight, which is convenient for local residents and AU students. read more

Great bargain in DC! My hot sandwich was huge (I took half with me), and the creamy mozzarella, spinach, and turkey blended well with the soft, tasty French bread. The fruit cup was actually fresh and sweet. I look forward to my next visit! read more

Stopped by this location for a quick lunch while shopping in Friendship Heights. I would rate my sandwich as adequate/satisfactory but nothing to write home about. Russian dressing dominated my sandwich 'The Natural', and I like the taste but still felt hungry - wish they would add more veggies (too much bread to toppings ratio). Also a little pricey for a sandwich. I will try again in the future with a different sandwich selection. read more

Good food, bleakest is kind of bland, but a good lunch dinner selection. Not a fan of the numbered call out system to get your food sometimes the speakers work sometimes they don't. Awkward lay out for people waiting for there food. I miss the porch seating since they put in the Fro-Yo but they seem cool about you eating out there. read more

OK, I am a REALLY picky teenager. I don't even like sandwiches. But, Booeymongers changed all that! On a recent visit to DC, my Mom told me that she used to go to Booeymongers all the time when she was in college in DC during the 80s. She didn't even think it would still be in existence! Our hotel was right across the street from the same location she used to go to...she spoke so highly of it that I went with her to check it out. So, I had the first sandwich I've had in about 10 years. Hot pastrami on baguette. OMG! Delicious. I got four more of the same sandwich during our visit. So even though I stuck with the same sandwich (as I said I am a picky teenager) my family got salads, breakfast sandwiches, club sandwiches and reubens. They declared them all delicious! I have never written a bad review. This is a first. This place is horrible. Do not bother to come here. they have three choices of frozen yogurt today all of which are very watery. Pretty good sandwich shop chain in the DMV. I prefer the one in Bethesda to this one, but this Booeymonger seems to have more food options (they have a froyo bar). The sandwiches are fairly simple and aren't overstuffed like some other sandwich shops. read more

A good and reliable place for a meal. Great selection and the froZen yogurt is nice. A bit put off by 5 cents for a take out bag was a bit offsetting. A really nice selection of sandwiches but it would be nice to have more "non-healthy" options to mean beef or even pork. I've been here twice-- once for dinner and once for lunch. The menu is a bit overwhelming--they have everything: breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, bagels, etc. I ordered the Uptown Manhattan turkey sandwhich and the chicken cheese steak sandwich both with a side of crispy potato wedges. Both times my husband and I split our food and there was plenty to fill us both up. My twin sister and her boyfriend also loved their food. This place is definitely worth going to for a quick lunch or if you live in friendship heights and you're in need of a quick dinner. Nothing works here. Can't flush the toilet. Bathroom is dirty. Hand sanitizer doesn't work but it's full. First and last with this company.

I ordered a Gatsby Arrow sandwich, which comes with roast beef and brie on a baguette. I liked the combination of the brie and roast beef, but the bread was not good. It was too soft (I like my french bread to have a hard crust). After my first bite, the bread started to come apart in my hand. My wife ordered the chicken gumbo. She was hoping for a hearty soup to warm her on a cold day. Unfortunately the gumbo was not satisfying as it was too light and brothy. I've eaten here many times. I like it. The food is always good, no matter what I've gotten. Large selection of sandwiches. They readily customize the sandwiches, so you can get it any way you want. I don't like the fries because I don't like the seasoning. Some of the other sides are okay, but most are not great. I go for the sandwiches. There isn't enough seating and it's a little packed in close, but that's because it's popular which is because it's good. Next door is another restaurant, I think it's called Cosi. Tried it once. This place is offensive....particularly if you use to come here in the 90's. I'm convinced the ppl giving good reviews are paid. In days past you could walk in and smell the potato wedges being freshly prepared. This time it was a strange odor. That shoulda been my first clue. So I ordered the special...Tilapia something that came with wedges. Strike two was when they had to come around and read what the special was. Strike three was the taste. It is nothing like it used to be. The wedges were hard, not seasoned right, and weirdly shaped. They gave me eight! With a 12 dollar combo.
