Pretty decent no frills diner (sorry, I mean cafe) with yummy food. To be honest, I stopped by Olympia Cafe, because it was one of the few places open around 6 am. In fact, it might have been the only place in the area that was open, so I pretty much had the cafe all to myself. For my dining pleasure, I went with a waffle deluxe meal which came with a side of eggs and bacon for about $15 bucks. Overall, I thought my food was good, and the quality was more or less what I expected for an in and out diner. The two ladies working behind they counter were nice. While I would not go out of my way to have breakfast here, it is good to know that this option exists if I so happen to be in the area again.

Went to purchase lunch. I ordered my food and waited for it. While waiting I watched 2 white me come in and the staff came running around to clean their table. When my food was ready I decided to sit but noticed all the tables were dirty. At that time the owner/manager asked was I going to sit and handed me a rag to clean the table. I asked did he expect me to clean the table. He then asked for me to clean the table and that was when I Said I watch the staff person come to clean the table for two white men but you are not offering me the same service. He then told me he was not going to clean the table. The staff person started yelling she would clean the table only after I explained his behavior was bias and appeared to be racist. I suggest NO person of color eat here and people of color boycott this place!! I felt uncomfortable and shamed in front of the other customers.

My husband and I were in the area and stopped at this little hole in the wall for a light bite to eat. Cute, retro classic 70s feel reminiscent of my childhood, with counter seating, booth or table. Place looked like it hadn't been updated ever, but I like that. It was clean! A variety of menu items to choose from, including full on breakfast platters, a variety of coffees, soups, sandwiches, milkshakes, candy bars, bags of chips, sodas and they even have Bubble tea! We were having an early dinner; more like a late lunch, and split a Turkey and Ham sub with lettuce, tomato and mayo. We added bacon to it, and a side of crinkle cut French fries. They gave my husband and I a massive portion. They did not skimp out. Service was friendly. Food was delicious! Our sub roll was soft and fresh, meat was plentiful, bacon was crispy like I like it. The French fries were great! Hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I have absolutely no complaints in regards to food and service, and will definitely return again if I'm in the area. Sandwich and fries were around $13. The only complaint that I had was the restoom was dated in a bad way, super small and musky. If these folks can upgrade their restroom, I'd say it was a near perfect sandwich shop! Oh...and if you really want to get that nostalgic feeling, I spotted old school glass bottles of orange soda available.

This place is amazing! This was a place I grew up with. Times have changed, but this place is always like home. The food is amazing and so much like HOME-style (and sometimes with a KBBQ twist!). The people who work here are friendly and really get to know their customers. I truly recommend this place if you happen to be in the area. Watch out for this gem.

Just another hole in the wall justifying it's prices because they give you a whole lot of french fries with something slight.

The lattes here are sweeter than savory but delicious, topped with thick whipped cream... I think it is homemade whipped cream, but whatever they do, they definitely aced it very well. - Habibi latte: very scrumptious! It is a must-get, although it's a seasonal drink, so it may not always be available...alas! Pretty sweet and almost like eating some Dubai chocolate as you drink it... worth the adventure! - The Bear Necessities: I was very impressed with this latte. I had low expectations, as most cafes can't perfect the dark art of latte for every latte drink on the menu, especially the seasonal drinks... But girl, I was proven wrong and I enjoyed this drink so much! It came with thick whipped cream topped with one graham cracker bear and crumbled graham crackers... The flavors were cinnamon and honey and reminded me of cinnamon crunch cereal in some ways, but of course, it wasn't too sweet though! I was tempted to order another one... The sandwiches (1 roast beef and 1 grilled turkey) were just average if you ask me to compare these with other sandwich specialty shops... next time, I'd try something else! Overall, no complaints as I'm impressed with the coffee options, especially the seasonal drinks! Service was good and quick. The employee behind the counter was super friendly and very accommodating to ensure she got our orders right. Plenty of seating on a Saturday late morning which was surprising. Lots of seating at the outdoor patio as well! Very spacious.

Great for a post-(long) run meal before I hop on the metro back to DC! The lattes are on the sweet side but delicious, thick, creamy, and very innovative--worth it. The food? Not so much, but still decent. I tried the following: - Habibi latte (hot with oat milk) - delicious!! Definitely a must-get. It was quite sweet but really reminded me of Dubai chocolate. Really amazing how they nailed down the flavors. Perfect for chocolate lovers and very unique and innovative. Presentation was also excellent, with a generous amount of whipped cream. - The bear necessities - equally delicious latte and really cute presentation too, with a graham bear cracker on top! I'm not a big fan of cinnamon-flavored drinks, but this one was more subtle. It was so thick and richly flavored that the cinnamon wasn't overpowering for me. I was very impressed. - Roast beef sandwich - meh okay. It was supposed to come with ciabatta bread (which I think would've tasted way better), but apparently, there was none that day, so I got it with sourdough bread. - Turkey sandwich - I got it served hot with sourdough bread, and my partner and I enjoyed this one more than the roast beef sandwich. The roasted red peppers were a nice addition to the sandwich. The accompanying salad with the sandwiches was fine, nothing special. Service was good and quick. Plenty of seating on a Saturday late morning, and the outdoor patio was cute and spacious.

In all honesty I was a little bit skeptical because my limited experiences with healthy food spots have usually been not so great because either the prices are too expensive or the food ends up tasting like cardboard. I'm very happy to say this wasn't the case here. This is more of a grab and go type of place but they have one or two spots to sit at if you need a minute to chill and the decor is very clean and bright. Everyone was super nice and answered any questions I had so you can tell they are very knowledgeable about the menu. I also liked that there were quite a few different gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options to choose from. I originally wanted to try a bunch of different things but I didn't have that kind of time so I ordered an iced decaf s'mores latte as my drink and chose the Dilly Dilly chicken salad for my food item. I absolutely loved my latte! It wasn't overly sweet and you can actually taste the coffee which you don't really find at a lot of coffee places anymore. It was topped with whipped cream and had a graham cracker and chocolate crumble sprinkled on top which really complimented the flavor of the coffee perfectly. Apart from one latte that I had on a trip to Philadelphia I would say that it's the best iced latte I have ever had. I will have to try it hot next time. The chicken salad surprised me in a good way. Normally when you order chicken salad it's practically drowning in mayo and dressing but thankfully that wasn't the case here. While it was well dressed and you can taste it in every bite it wasn't drowning and it didn't overwhelm the natural taste of the chicken which was a refreshing change. The dill flavor was definitely present but it wasn't overwhelming and it was very fresh. My whole order came out to under $20.00 which is affordable compared to other similar places in the area. It's located in the downtown Bethesda area around the corner from Bethesda Row which is within walking distance from the Bethesda Metro Station so it's very easy to get to with public transportation. There are also a couple of parking garages close by although I personally don't drive so I'm not exactly sure about the rates that the garages charge. This is definitely going to be my new normal lunch spot and I can't wait to try the other things on the menu!

This was a visit that we really wish had gone better because there is so much to love about Yellow…read more(which we'll get into), but a lot of things just really rubbed us the wrong way. First of all, the woman with gray hair and several tattoos was beyond obnoxious to us and she should have a talking to by management. It wasn't busy when we were ordering, and we had a few questions because it was our first time there, and she was just nasty about...everything. Why she works in customer service is beyond us. Let's talk about what we really loved: the hibiscus karkade and mish mish soda nonalcoholic drinks were so delicious. They were refreshing without being too sweet, which was perfect for the swelteringly hot day. The levantine pickles were interesting and a good crunch start to the meal, but the smashed cucumbers were just gross. You could tell that they had been sitting for a while (possibly over a day) because they were slimy and mealy and the whole thing was drowning in liquid. You got zero taste of the scallion oil. The hummus was great, as was the lamb leg "cheesesteak," which was completely unique and special. Finally, the shatta batata were also quite original, and we appreciated the spices and insanely-addictive dipping sauce. Here's what we hated: the hummus, pickles, and cukes were all served in to-go containers. We get that this place is casual, and maybe it makes sense for the veggies, but the hummus container had literally HALF of the dip carved out--and it cost $10! We feel like we got what we paid for with the $22 "cheesesteak," but the tots (served in a bag) were $13. The pricing just seemed way off for what you actually ended up getting... ...which was especially the case with the two soft serves that we tried, the baklawa labne and the tahini oat. They were wonderful and creamy and, again, unique, but with the added surcharge and the (undeserved) tip, they came to over $25. We're kind of a mixed mind about this place. Like, some dishes were really, really good, but the value was not there and the service was beyond off-putting. Not sure if we'll be back again. Maybe.
