Not big but not small with plenty of great books in every genre for all your reading needs. You'll find many priced as low as $3.50. And if you can't find something, just ask. You can also sell your older literature here for store credit. Although the credit works a little differently. Inquire inside for the details.

The Bookman Store...rows and rows of books.

The Bookman Used Bookstore is a delight and worth checking out! I remembered coming here before but forgot about returning over time. I found my way back and familiar is nice, including the same gentlemen are still manning and working at store! The bookstore is located in an outdated plaza with plenty of parking spaces. The store is very well organized and shelves full of treasures. If you have an hour to spare, it's nice to roam this bookstore, breathe in old smell of books and find a book of interest to purchase. I like supporting used bookstores as a way to promote sustainability and reduce waste. By shopping used bookstores stores, you're helping small businesses thrive and spread the love for reading. My only disappointment was being overcharged for a book, where the receipt indicated "hardcover" ($7.50), for a romance soft bound paperback novel. I guess it's still a steal.

Every visit at this used bookstore is growing on me more and more as a nice fantasy getaway looking for mass market paperbacks (you'll find me spending 2 hours at the Sci-Fi/Fantasy section teehee). Every visit is a new find, a new experience, a new adventure in its on way. This is definitely my current go-to to fulfill my hyper fixation on 80s - early 2000s fantasy stories in those bent and torn up, yellowing pages paperbacks. The value of each is reasonable, especially for popular selections.

Bookman is a great place to roam, relax, read and purchase used books. Everything here is so well organized by categories and the pricing is very fair. Staffed by a couple friendly gents, they are very knowledgeable with the types of books they have in stock. Also, they accept trade-ins for store credit. One of our go-tos and favorite spots to stop in the OC.

That's the price at $1 plus bookshop.

My first time visiting Bookman, and I'm loving the place. The staffs were nice & helpful and I found one book that I think worth the buying. Some books are dirty, have writing on them, and not worth $5 let alone $5+ (in my opinion). I love how organized each isle is, to make it easy for me to find what I'm looking for. They have a website for you to look for the books, call them so they can set aside for you, and I think that's a great idea. Since I'm not from the area and driving is about 30 minutes, and with this option will save me a lot of time. I don't have to look for books by books, isles by isles. Here, I spent $10 for one book, and I found another used book store at $1 plus bookshop about 10 minutes away and I was able to buy 4 books for about $13. They don't have a huge selection of books by like Bookman, but I was lucky to find some art & craft books (for cheap). Overall, I highly recommend Bookman, just go and browse what you can find for yourself. The price is decent and I love books and I gotta get it or I'll die. Thank you Bookman!

I'm in heaven

Hello! Love your store and periodically search your website but I noticed it's been down for a few weeks now. Any update on if and when it will start working again?…

The website is operating. If the website is ever down or I was told the websites doesn't list all paperback novels, then feel free to call the store-- the owner is happy to assist you.

Do you buy used book in very good condition?

Can I sell books as well? Planning to bring a lot.

They do buy books, but typically no textbooks, no books that they have an overabundance of, and no books that are heavily damaged. You can also call them before going there to see how many boxes that they will accept, as they had a limit at the old… Read more

Does store accept book donations? If so, can I just show up there or do I need to call ahead?

Yes they do! They do trade-ins and give you store credit for the value of your books. You can just show up with a bag or crate full of books without calling ahead. The only catch is they may not take every book you bring in!

Haven't been there since January-- is everything set up now?

Mostly. They are adjusting to the new place, so books/areas may get moved around in the future.

Do they still buy text books here? specifically college text books?

I would think it would depend more or less on the books.

Make sure you give yourself ample time as there is so many different books and sections. So nicely curated a with so many options. You are greeted as you enter and the staff is very helpful with any questions. I loved the postcards and dvds and variety. Everything is priced well and you can leave with a great deal. Similarly, when I went to checkout one hour later, I was quickly and warmly attended to. You read that right. One! Hour! There were a lot of people, but it honestly felt nice. The air buzzed with literary excitement. There were plenty of books for all tastes. I personally love literary fiction, and I was very excited to find Mark Salzman. I overheard other people gushing over their hidden gem finds, too. In the end, I got 8 books, 2 postcards, and 1 tote for less than $26. On a normal day, would I have left with all 8 books? No, but I definitely would have left with 4 of them for almost the same price. Great finds with great prices. Will definitely come back on a regular day, too.
