    Tuna Nachos

A beautiful weekend afternoon with perfect weather and this place was perfect for lunch. Service was good even with the crowds, our food came promptly. The ambiance is exactly what you would want for a waterfront community. We had an array of delicious items from the menu: a dozen oysters (of course), steamers, stuffed quahog, fried oysters, lobster grilled cheese....all of it hit the spot.

No joke this is one of the best Pasta dishes I have ever had! My family and I go to Cape Cod every summer and we have eaten here many times. I have never ordered this dish and now I will get it every time I come to this restaurant! I got the Shrimp Scampi and the portion was big and delicious! I ate the entire bowl in about 15 minutes! I was full afterwards but it was light like I did not feel super full to the point that my stomach hurt. This dish was perfect!

Solid spot to relax after a day at the beach and enjoy a variety of seafood dishes. Bookstore & Restaurant is a step up from the typical hole in the wall seafood on the beach places but maintains the casual atmosphere. We enjoyed the food here. The Yellowtail tuna nachos were excellent - large portion for the price and the Asian flavors were spot on as were the thick pita like chips that came with the dish. Large enough to be an entree or shared with several people. The fish sandwich featured fresh fish that was quite tasty but very hard to eat. It didn't contain the usual thick batter breading that holds the fish together so the super flaky fish fell a part when you eat it with your hands so I had to go fork and knife. That said it isn't heavily fried so you don't have a greasy mess. The restaurant is quite large so it can accommodate large groups and families with kids. You can have a nicer more formal dining experience inside or relax by the bar or outdoor deck for the casual beach dining experience. Service was okay and the food came out fast. They have a large parking lot as well.

    Caprese croissant and Coleslaw

I really wanted to love the Bookstore Restaurant because I am a frequent Outer Cape visitor. Sadly I was disappointed with the rudeness of the staff. The food was decent but the pretentiousness of the staff made it very uncomfortable. I ordered the caprese croissant sandwich. The coleslaw was good, not too much dressing.

Get a table on one of the decks... We were greeted with a rainbow over the harbor...

One of our go to places on the outer cape, great service and food. Came with a party of 8, 5 minute wait and food came out very fast.

Wow! This place is awesome! It literally feels like you are walking into some type of alternate…read morereality where magic exists! I was half expecting a bunch of fairy's to flutter out from behind one of the leather bound books. Perhaps a knight was about to ask me to aide him in a noble quest as I turned a corner into the fantasy section. This store oozes with the authenticity and wonder that has now been all but lost to the realm of modern book stores. It isn't the size of a mega book retailer, but that's a good thing. There aren't people shouting for muffins and coffees as an employee frantically restocks blue rays and a group of teens walk by - cackling at the nudity in a book of classical renaissance paintings. This store is lined wall to wall with books. It is also put inside what appears to be the mansion of some old sea captain! Perhaps it was the entrance hall to his dwelling on Cape Cod of long ago. The air smells of fresh lavender and crisp library paper - a subtle node of sea salt lingers as well. There is also lots of cool new age stuff and fun metal jewelry and crystal. This place is like a witch and wizard watched "page master," and decided to move to Cape Cod for a simpler life. The prices are phenomenal, the selection is CRAZY big, and the woman working the cash register was quite possibly the sweetest person I have ever interacted with. Usually I would say "support this small town business" but this time I'm saying "DONT MISS OUT!" Because it's that good!! Happy hunting y'all!
