This is a spot that gets the job done. Small diner, a spot where everybody knows your name. I was in the mood for a burger & they had some special ones on the menu at a limited time, I went with The Marilyn. First & foremost, anything bacon is hard for me to skip + pass up on. I have a new love for hot honey to where if it's on the menu, I'm ordering it. The burger was straight to the point, no fixings. The peanut butter makes the hot honey very very subtle. I requested the bacon to be well done & they made it just right. I almost didn't have room for the fries. They were well seasoned. They also they their own seasoning sitting on the table, if for anything else, I would've used it. My fiancé and I stumbled upon Bristow and this diner stood out immediately! It was a quaint place to stop for breakfast with an old school diner feel, and the food was delicious -- especially the sausage and hash browns. They had reasonable prices and lots of seating, and the servers were very friendly and efficient too! read more

It used to be a decent restaurant but has quickly gone downhill in the last 6 months. Our waiter was very curt and never did a table touch after receiving our food from someone in the kitchen. No appetizer plates were offered but the same person offered some to the couple next to us. No one ever came to check or looked our way so we attempted to eat the fried pickles we'd ordered. They were so hard from sitting under a heat lamp that we didn't want to chance our teeth. The food arrived alright but again, no checking on us and no refills. We always leave a tip in cash so the servers don't have to claim it, but when my husband went to the register to get our check because it never arrived and paid with a card, the lady looked at the receipt and saw that there was no tip on the card as for the receipt back at my husband and was very rude. I personally feel like we probably shouldn't have even left a tip at all after that. We will NOT return. read more

This place has a pretty decent throwback vibe. The music was fun and the decor was cool even though some of it was worn out (pads in seats and tables etc...) I'm the type that orders burgers when I go to burger places and this double cheeseburger was pretty darn tasty. SUPER greasy but good flavor. The fries were just ok. For the price this place could be a little better. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place but if you've got kids and want a safe choice this isn't bad. read more

Traveling west on I-44, we were overdue for lunch. We asked the lady at the tollbooth when we exited this stretch of I-44 (from the eastern state line w MO, to OK City, I-44 is toll road) if there were restaurants in town, and if so, for a recommendation... and this place was it. At the time, I'm not even sure if we knew where we were. Turns out, we were in Bristow, OK. Right along the old Route 66. And yes, there were restaurants in town, including one you need to try if you're in the area. At the Boomerang Diner we found fresh food; friendly, customer-service oriented servers; great prices and a fun, retro 1950's, Route 66- themed atmosphere. Because this is primarily a "burger" place, that's what we both ordered...but the patty had obviously been freshly hand-formed and my fries were sliced from real, fresh potatoes. My husband pushed the culinary envelope and ordered fried okra...he ate them all except the one I tried (it tasted pretty good) and then he finished off my fries as well. Small town charm from a chain. Super fun decor. Amazing attention to detail for such a cheap meal. First spot in a long time to ask how I like my bacon prepared! So much more important than the eggs. As for prices.... $14 for two people to eat a big burger for lunch? Great prices unless you are comparing to the dollar menu at a fast food spot. Only down side was lack luster service. Very friendly but no urgency. Not many tables but people were literally raising their glasses for coffee. Wife asked for cream and I ended up having to find some for her. read more

We stopped here after a busy day at the lake. The wife and son had super delicious meals like the Patty Melt and the Chicken Fried Chicken. Patty Melt was tender and tasty with a side of O-rings, which were also great. The CFC was amazing, thin piece of chicken breast perfectly battered with a generous portion of gravy. I ordered the Rueben, which was very good, not great like aforementioned two meals. The waitstaff was very attentive especially Desiree, who took great care of us. So my hands kept getting sticky while waiting for our food order. Not sure what I was touching that made them gross. Then I realized my drinking glass was the reason.
