Food is great! Got a double cheese burger and the chicken basket. Only complaint would be the wait we had in drive-through.

Happy Burger was one of those Route 66 surprises that reminded me why I enjoy these road trips so much. I originally stopped because it was a Passport stamp location, but I left talking more about the food than the stamp. The restaurant is small--I'd guess it seats no more than 18-20 people--and it's packed with Pepsi memorabilia that gives it a fun, nostalgic feel. It feels like stepping back into a classic American burger joint. Even better, it's been serving Route 66 travelers since the 1950s. Happy Burger has become a true Mother Road institution. (TravelOK⁠) My wife and I both ordered the Jumbo Burger special. I swapped my fries for onion rings while she added cheese to her burger and kept the hand-cut fries. We ended up sharing both sides, and I'm glad we did. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. I'm usually pretty critical of hand-cut fries because they often end up limp or undercooked, but these were excellent--crispy outside and soft inside. The onion rings were equally good. The menu isn't huge, but that's often a sign that a restaurant focuses on doing a few things really well, and Happy Burger proves that point. If you're driving Route 66 through Sapulpa, don't just stop for the Passport stamp. Come hungry, enjoy a classic burger, soak in the nostalgic atmosphere, and experience a piece of Oklahoma history. umm its a cool historical touch but the food.... it didnt go well with us. they were mainly soaked in frying oil and just bland. no taste at all. we went on a dinner rush so we were just kind of rushed through the whole placing orders and then took us almost an hour to recieve our food. Happy Burger is my favorite local burger joint. I like a burger that is not fussy. Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion ( hold the Pickles please). Fries are fresh and salted, good alone or with ketchup. I could go one but it would be a moot point. read more

Amazing burgers and hand cut fries! Little place in Sapulpa. I tried this place a couple of weeks ago after dropping of my son and his friend at paint ball. Friendly staff and wearing masks. It was to go orders only. I ordered their double cheeseburger the way it comes. It was delicious. .Day 4 of the 'jus passin' thru' trip from LA to Ohio. Just outside of Tulsa and I'm dying for a burger, because I haven't eaten nearly enough crap this trip. Hubs gets right on it and he comes up with Happy Burger in the little town of Sapulpa OK on RT 66, between OKC and Tulsa. Ok. I can't even with this place. I. Can't. Even. I'll get right to it. I ordered the jumbo burger with an extra patty. The meat is paper thin and full fat so go for two or more patties. You'll thank me. Got it with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mustard and grilled onions. Do Yourselves a favor and leave off the lettuce and tomato. They just get in the way. Fries hand cut weren't necessary but go 'head if it floats your boat. Hubs got the 3 patty jumbo with cheese bacon and chili. (Yes he's still Alive). They served it to him in a boat with knife and fork. At the suggestion of another reviewer he got the butterscotch shake. Amazing and they gave me the dregs out of the steel malt dooflingy which I appreciated--about a cup, which was enough. Literally one of the best burgers I've ever had. Nostalgic, like what I used to get regularly as a kid. Don't pass this place up. It's worth the detour. read more

I was in town for a vendor event. Got a single reg. burger with bacon & cheese with a side of mushrooms and a Cherry Pepsi. I ordered the jumbo burger with fries and a butterscotch malt. The malt was perfect. Not too thick and not too thin, with just enough butterscotch flavor. The burger was a decent portion and the meat was juicy and flavorful. The fries look like fresh cut fries. My only critique is they were a little soft, however, the great flavor made up for them. I ordered mine to go. This is a small, quaint little place, and the seats are either single bar stools or two man booths. Not a good place to bring a crowd, but definitely a good place to order carry out for a crowd. I WILL be back! read more

I had been having a hard time finding a burger that I just love in the Tulsa area. Not anymore. This is it. There is a reason this place has been open for as long as it has. It's fantastic. I tried the butterscotch shake based off a review I read on here. I was not disappointed. It was very good. I'm not a huge hand cut fry guy. Probably will try the jalapeno cheeseballs next time. This is a small little joint on the way to Sapulpa. In a nice change of pace, the place is decked out in Pepsi paraphernalia instead of the often seen Coca-Cola products. Burgers here come in regular and jumbo sizes, but a double regular is plenty filling. They have other menu options (hot dogs, etc), but this is a burger place, so no need to deviate. Burgers are cooked on a flat top and get nice and crispy. The traditional toppings are essential, but not fancy. Not a lot of room for seating, but I enjoy sitting on the stools and watching the orders be prepared. Excellent place to stop in for a quick snack or late lunch. read more

First of all, we were the bad people that stopped in right before closing. After a day of travel, Edmond to Weatherford then to Sapulpa we were starved! We were to be in Sapulpa a couple of hours before heading home to Edmond. Happy Burger had good reviews so we tried it. FANTASTIC! Perfect burgers with toasted buns, the handout fries are super and my husband loved his O rings. I was sad I ordered so quick I missed some of there other yummy menu items to choose from.
