    Crab boil.
    Gene T.

My daughter brought us here for a good seafood dinner. I'm glad she did. We arrived for an early dinner. We ordered drinks which came while we were deciding on our entree. We decided on their crab boil and chose shrimp and mussels as our two add-ins. This was served on a huge platter along with a bucket to dispose of the shells. It also came with red potatoes and cob corn. Everything was cooked to perfection and drenched in a savory sauce. My daughter also ordered sides of onion rings, fried cheese sticks, and hush puppies, which she shared. Everything was delicious. There was enough for the 4 of us. We considered taking a box, but the meal was so good we finished it all. This was well worth the 20-mile drive to get here.

Surprisingly good bag of spicy seafood in a hole in the wall spot. Clean. Service was on time and friendly. I ordered 2 drinks, the crablegs, mussels crayfish and shrimp with medium spicy and the house special sauce. Heavy and under priced. Spent under $62. The house sauce is creamy and garlicky and delicious. Very representative of the Viet- cajun sauce that made these places popular. Definitely lemon grass and chilies only found in southeast Asia. Loved the sauce. Seafood fresh. I'll be back. The happy hour special drinks are $5 to 7 dollars. Checking out the 1 snow crab cluster and 1/2 pound shrimp deal for $20 next time I'm in the area. YUMMY! And did someone say po boy and how crispy the fried shrimp calamari and oysters are? I'll try on my next visit. Solid spot for good food and strong drinks.

I wasn't impressed with the seafood boil that I ordered, compared to others that I've throughly enjoyed at other restaurants around the US. I ordered 1 1/2 pound of Snow Crab legs with Corn, Potatoes, Sausage and boiled eggs. For starters, the sauce was not over the food but had settled in the bottom of the bag. The sausage were sliced into thin pieces. I am use to huge slices of sausage. The sauce didn't have much flavor either. The customer service was pretty good. Except one young waitress kept cussing and even dropped the F Bomb. She apologize but later cussed again while talking to another waitress. She needs to polish up her skills and learn what is appropriate behavior and conversations while on the service. Don't think that I will be returning.

Not the best location to come and grab a nice sea food bite, but it came out to be really tasty and the servings are very fulfilling. We ordered calamari, fried fish basket and one orden of boiled seafood. The service was meh but the boiled food was outside, really good size service (I got the .5lb of shrimp, clamp and crawfish) the flavor was Cajun and extra spicy... delicious every bite. It also has potato and sausage. Visited the place a second time with friends since the food was outstanding and share 2 different flavors of boiled seafood. Definitely a great location for souther cuisine

Everything done right! I have had such a hard time finding good seafood, somehow... in Maryland. So affordable. I ordered 1/2 on of crab legs, 1lb of shrimp with corn added. Also, 8 sweet Thai chili wings and fries. Order was a great price and cooked to perfection. The portion size is decent (though I'd hope for another crab leg cluster). The king sauce is too salty for my taste. The good came piping hot and was even good the next day.

I ordered to go when I arrived my order was ready and hot, I ordered the pick 3 with mussels, shrimp and clams they called right away and told me that were out of clams so instead I requested to have green mussels and black mussels in the house sauce extra spicy, the food was good but in my opinion could have been spicier!

    Yummy!

I would give this place 5 stars, but I wasn't really a fan of their house sauce. It was more creamy and less buttery than the sauces I've had at other seafood boil restaurants. Don't park in the front! It's right off of a busy street and very hard to back out of the spots in front of the restaurant. There is a large parking lot in the back. The inside is super cute. It's decorated with a nautical theme. There is a beer/wine bar, but (according to the waitress) they don't receive their alcohol license until the new year. The prices are decent and I will probably come here again. Corn, potatoes, and sausage come with every entree which is awesome.

We decided to get carry out for dinner. BAD decision. We order the fried calamari, fried whiting and the fried shrimp. Needless to say the fried fish looked like fried chicken tenders. They were over cooked. The calamari was over cooked as well. The only thing that we liked were the french fries and the fried shrimp. The shrimp was NOT the size indicated on the menu picture. They were actually popcorn shrimp. All in all I would NOT eat there again. It had a bad effect on our stomachs last night. Which carried until the morning. It only has 1 star because I couldn't give it zero.

There is a two part type of deal, right in the front with all the seafood you can order fresh seafood steamed to order. Around the corner they sell various hot foods and sides as well as a couple of desserts. I tried menu items from both sides as I was curious about their cold side items. The fresh seafood is priced very reasonably and everything is super fresh, you can tell. They have a self serve station with condiments and all sorts of things you can add. I would recommend making your "sauce" before you get all your food for the smoothest eating process. They also offer a couple of alcoholic beverages and coke products. There is indoor seating that is bench style. I really enjoyed the Maryland decorations around. Overall this is a great place to take any seafood lover and I definitely recommend trying out both food sections. My next visit I'm definitely trying out their crab cake, it looked amazing!

If you walked in blind, you honestly wouldn't even guess they specialize in seafood -- that's how clean and fresh the environment felt. Major points for that alone. Now let's get into the food. I started with the cream of crab soup. The portion was solid and there were huge chunks of crab throughout, which I definitely appreciated. However, the base itself just wasn't to my liking. The crab was there, but the flavor profile didn't quite hit for me. For my entrée, I ordered the oyster platter with two sides -- regular fries and coleslaw -- and added a shrimp basket because when you're at a seafood spot, you might as well go all in. The meal definitely satisfied my hunger, but if I'm being honest, it tasted more boxed and frozen than freshly battered. That homemade, crispy, just-dropped-in-the-fryer feel wasn't quite there. On the bright side, the fries were good -- hot, crisp, and dependable. The coleslaw was exactly how I like it: balanced, not too sweet, not too heavy on the mayo. Where they truly shine is customer service. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and very helpful throughout the visit. Service can make or break a dining experience, and they definitely delivered on that front. Overall, while this visit didn't completely wow me food-wise, the cleanliness and service alone are enough for me to give them another shot. I'll be back to try something different and will happily update my review. Stay tuned.

But honestly, we thought it became too expensive over the years (maybe I'm just getting old). With that said, I sat at the bar (service was excellent), and ordered the 16 ounce prime rib, $55, with a Caesar salad and sweet potato, and mozzarella cheese sticks to start (~$10). I ordered a tea to drink, but requested a beer (~$8)with the steak. Total bill was ~$80. The prime rib was ordered and delivered medium rare, and was by far one of the best steaks I've had in probably three years. It honestly could've been cut with just the fork, no knife required, and was well seasoned. The sweet potato mash was well seasoned, without being over seasoned. And the Caesar salad was super crisp, and I happen to like creamy Caesar dressing. The mozzarella cheese sticks look like they're hand dipped (not sure) and very good. And delivered with extra marinara per request. The bartender even remembered to pour the Sam's seasonal beer (winter something, it was not the typical winter lager which i like as well) when the steak was delivered. I did not have to ask. That was really nice. Also, I did not have to ask for a refill on the tea, it just magically appeared. Plus, the appetizer, the salad, and the steak, we're all delivered at the right timing intervals. I did not feel rushed, nor do I have to wait. So, was it expensive? Maybe a little bit. We were seated immediately once we checked in. The brunch buffet was on its last leg ( we arrived at 12:30) so we opted to just order off the regular menu. The menu has a lot of great choices. We started with the rockfish tenders and the brodkin egg rolls, both were delicious. I was especially fond of the rockfish tenders, they were seasoned and fried perfectly. I ordered a side salad, it was huge. I ended up boxing because I would not have been able to try my main dish if I had eaten that salad. For our main entrees we went with the Shrimp Scampi and the Blackend Chicken Alfredo. The Alfredo was just the way I like it, creamy not oily (oily does not reheat well). My mother said the scampi could use some cheese. The portions sizes were on point and the prices are very reasonable. The only issue I had was with our service. There was a big confusion on who was supposed to be waiting on the table. Once that was settled it just took forever for the server to comeback. I had to get up a few times to get my own stuff; plates and silverware. It was busy so I'm going to give the service the benefit of the doubt. I made reservations to try the brunch buffet later so we'll see if there is any difference on a non holiday. Rumor Reel is a huge place with plenty of space for large parties.
