My friends and I went to lunch before a wedding later this afternoon. I had the cherry limeade to drink. It was sooo refreshing!! The like looked like it had seen some stuff but the drink was amazing. We had one friend who wanted breakfast. The two of us who wanted lunch split a frito chili pie supreme and a chicken fried steak dinner. The frito chili pie had a great crunch. We added the onion for an extra zing. It was so good that my friend got another order to go. The chicken fried steak was crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. It had a piece or two of gristle but that is to be expected sometimes. It had a good spice to it. The gravy was really good but it could've used some gravy on top. The tater tots were perfectly crispy. My friend who ordered breakfast really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and was pleased overall. We were a party of 8 with 3 separate checks. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from start to finish. Our food arrived significantly later than the rest of our group -- by the time our meals came, everyone else had already finished eating. To make things worse, the food wasn't even hot, just lukewarm. Several other parties who arrived after us were served long before we were, and throughout the entire time, not a single server checked in on our table to acknowledge the delay or see how things were going. Other tables around us received apologies and attention -- we did not. When we asked for our tax-exempt status to be applied to the bill, the server gave us noticeable attitude. We also inquired about a discount due to the excessive wait, and were told no -- that our party size was the reason for the delay. That explanation doesn't hold up when smaller tables that arrived later were served before us. I left feeling disappointed, unwelcome, and frankly disrespected. The service was poor, the food was subpar, and the lack of consideration for our group -- including our veterans -- was disheartening. I would not recommend dining here. read more

I've had burgers here that are pretty good. My favorite thing though is the breaded mushrooms with house made ranch. Sometimes I get the 50/50, breaded mushrooms and fried pickles. The last time though, I just got the breaded mushrooms and it made me vomit. They tasted fine. They just didn't stay down. Haven't had the guts, no pun intended, to try them again. First time customers, a woman yelled as soon as we went inside "to sit anywhere". Then a very impatient woman took our drink order. One waitress, about 5 occupied tables. She kept yelling "heard" to whomever was in the kitchen. Really annoying. She brought out our food, and never returned. No fresh coffee, refill on water , nothing!! Man sure had high hopes for this place. Most breakfast places here close so early. Ordered the western omelet with hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy my wife ordered patty melt and okra. Well after 35 minutes or food finally came out and everything in my omelet was raw plus they added raw mushrooms which wasn't on the description and I hate mushrooms. My wife asked for crispy bacon and it came on her melt still oinking. The gravy was really good and so was the okra. The server was really nice but the portions were something you would serve to a kid. Don't think we will be going back. read more

Sunday breakfast today was the essence of an experience that makes me wish I could leave less than one star. Burnt out, or worse, unconcerned front of house staff didn't bother to even acknowledge guests coming in. Kitchen seemed to be working through tickets in the most confounding and insulting order I've ever seen. Never even an offer of apology or explanation for utter lack of professionalism. I get it, bad days happen in the kitchen. That's why you work to coordinate *as a team*. No one seems to be looking out for anyone in this place, and that's sad. Waited over an hour to eat eggs and pancakes, it was genuinely one of the more embarrassing dining experiences I've ever had. Suggesting management/ownership invest some time and money into basic staff training and creating an environment that seems like less of an utter bummer to work in. read more

Walked in and had to wait for the empty tables to be cleaned by the waitress. Once seated, it took 10 minutes for the first waitress (who couldn't take food order) to come get our drink order. Ordered drinks and an appetizer which came out very fast, but no straws and the "loaded fries" were in a dirty bowl with greasy finger prints on them. Then waited another 20 minutes for a waitress to acknowledge us and attempt to take our order for food. At this point we asked for our check and paid about 10 minutes later. The atmosphere is pretty nice as it has a cool 70's theme. The servers were nice and the food doesn't take these long to come out. The burgers are pretty good and the onion rings were great. The potato cakes were unsalted and weren't that good. While some of the food is good most food is just tasteless. read more

The family and were traveling through Lawton and ate here on Sunday morning November 19th. Great breakfast, great selection, great prices and a genuinely friendly and excellent server. They also have shakes. Yum! We really appreciate a good restaurant when we find one. Way to go. read more

Came here with my family visiting from Cali to my surprise they loved it specifically the kiddos pancakes were the favorite and the mash potatoes and gravy was on point....they tried the all you can eat catfish and it was delicious.. service was mediocre we had to wait for the server to ask for a refill on the cat fish they look to be a bit under staff. This place has the WORST customer service in the city! We have given them chance after chance. Most recently: I tried 8 times to call in an order on 3/17/21....no one ever picked up the phone. Today I just tried to call in another order & the lady said "sorry, we're not taking phone in orders ~ we're just too busy"! WTH?! We own a business 1/2 a block down & most of the customers in there right now are our tournament players on their lunch break! Now we can't get lunch because they're too busy?! Lawton, OK. Came for lunch and place was packed. I ordered a BLT and fries. There was only 2 poor ladies serving and they couldn't keep up. I had to wait too long for a drink refill. Two gentleman walked in 10 minutes ago and got their drink orders taken and they are still sitting without drinks or their order taken. They really need to get a 3rd person to run the register and help out the servers. As far as my food, the bacon on my BLT was not cooked all the way. read more

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It wasn't busy at all but service was very slow. It was 10-15 minutes before someone took our order and another 25 before we got any food. My bacon was very undercooked and my egg was partly raw. My granddaughter's pancake was cold and the frozen butter wouldn't even melt. It was not a good experience. read more

This is a fun restaurant. The ambiance is 40's-50's style dinner. They have checkerboard floors, old records and pictures of great entertainers of American past. The music seems to range from 40's-50's. As soon as you walk in they welcome you and let you know you can seat wherever you would like. They helped us right away and check on us frequently. The food was good as was the service. We ordered the Club sandwich which a side of fries and a fish fry basket with onion rings and hush-puppies. I am not to into fried food mush anymore, but I will say it was good and not greasy which is a real plus. It is in downtown Lawton across from the Lawton Mall. I think it is a great place to stop anytime, also they have all day breakfast. read more

Old school diner, my kind of place! The food is pretty good here, the only thing missing is a good shake or a malt. If they had this I would say they were awesome, but for now they are great. I have eaten here three times at the time of this review, but the staff has always been pleasant, and taken care of me when I am there. It reminds me of a simpler time in life, when you could just sit and enjoy a meal, with real food, cooked to order. This is not like the fast food places we all seem to cram into these days and eat food not fit for consumption, this is a place with beef, chicken and potatoes. I really like the atmosphere of the place, the feeling of being back in time, the records on the wall, the pictures all decorate the place well. The service I would almost say is over the top. I am giving four stars now, would give five stars if they had malts or shakes. read more

Wonderful food. Having to wait almost ten minutes for flatware after my food was delivered was not acceptable, however. Employees and what I assume was the manager did a lot of standing around and talking with each other. I had to go ask for flatware and instead of just handing me utensils the guy said the server would bring it soon. I explained that I had already been waiting. As delicious as the mash potatoes and gravy were I had to wait MORE time to get a fork and a spoon and by that time the mashed potatoes and gravy were cold. Also, the server grabbed each and EVERY glass around the rim at the TOP of the glass as she put them on the table.Right where my lips go!!! That is not how they are taught at the Health Department when you receive your food handler's permit. The server should grab below the halfway point of the glass. I always ask for a straw because of this. That was yet another wait. These are little things but they add up enough to make me never go back. The man's attitude about me having to ask for silverware was also not positive. He asked me why I needed silverware! I actually had to convince him that I needed something useful like a fork with which to eat!! Again, the food was great but the lack of "with-it-ness" is sorely lacking.. Nice try,Boomerang. So I've eaten here a few times but for breakfast only. Today I decided to have lunch. I ordered a chicken salad with Italian dressing. The cost was $9.49. That price is normal for a full size salad so no complaints there. My complaint is that I received a salad that looked like their small side salad bowl but it they placed in a bigger bowl. The chicken was dry. They didn't have any boiled eggs and there was no bacon as advertised. I might go back to this place for breakfast but never again for salad. Oh, and the wait one is about 15 mins before they noticed that you're there (the place wasn't busy) and the food takes a while as well. So be prepared to wait unless you're there on a good day with good staff. read more

Nice little place - the server was very polite. She was young and had much to learn about social interaction but nothing that can't be forgiven. She was attentive and did her best. The food is just that ... food. Nothing to crow about but very eatable. Not huge portions but nice enough and for under $8 it was worth every cent. I loved the pictures on the wall. The server had little notion of who they were but that was OK ... I did. The allure is mostly 50's cafe theme. If you're not looking for a power breakfast, you don't want to spend a lot, and you're in the neighborhood - give Boomerang a shot. read more

If you like Waffle House or ihop boom-a-rang diner is the place to go!! I love their breakfast and it's cheap! The service is fantastic! We went there 4 times since its been open and will continue to go back there again. They even made a special Micky mouse pancake for my daughter! They also serve burgers and catfish.
