I was recommended to them by 4 different mechanics in the area as the go to for anything remote start. (I deliver car parts for a living). I called and the answering machine gave me two choices; talk to a salesperson or check on some device. Had a full door speakers, sub, and amp done to my 2017 wrx, picked it up the first day and the guys seemed disappointed behind the counter with the way it came out with a full days labor, told me to come in the following week and make it work with my busy schedule....picked up the car after they upgraded my speakers and switch subs, and to this day this car still turns heads and blows ear drums....ZERO UPCHARGE! I want to give a better rating but the problem is that it was a difficult experience - so I'm going neutral with 3 stars. That said, in the end they did give me a full refund without any hassle. Why did it end in refund? Well, I emailed them about replacing factory speakers in my 2015 Ford Fiesta to improve the sound and they cheerfully responded that it could be done within my price range. So I went to the store expecting to hear some speakers, browns d pick something out with some consultation. I arrived to learn that this is not possible and that I was to "trust them" about what would sound good in my car. Fair enough but hard to buy sight unseen. After chatting with the installer we arrived at a plan that was almost twice my budget but he seemed enthusiastic that it would achieve my goal so I went for it. I really didn't like the sound at all when I picked it up but also had a head cold so I thought it was just me. Nope. Terrible. High pitched and muffled at the same time and there was a constant buzzing feedback sound. I called and they said it would just need a little tuning. I feel like the installer should have known to fix it but whatever. I take the car back (3rd 1-hour drive) only to learn I had to make another appointment. 4th trip in they were able to improve the high pitch thing and get rid of the buzzing noise. But the sound was still really muffled. I asked if we could sit with it a bit to see if we get used to it. In the end I called to request a refund because it really was worse than the factory system. They were quick to oblige and I made arrangements to drop it off again (5th trip). When I got there a different person tried to talk me out of the refund by tweaking settings in car's stereo and asking me about what kind of music I'm listening to etc. I politely explained that I was just done with the whole thing and that I think the installer knew I was not going to get the result I was seeking (which was simply an improved, full sound better than what I had). They were polite the whole time but I think I should have been able to get a decent product. read more

installer didn't put my seat belts back in place, several missing screws in trunk , installer had serious attitude when I returned and still missing screws out my middle seatbelt bracket , and rear sear back missing screw fastener and now I hit a bump back seat rattles.. How I go to Boomers today and realize they don't have a clue of what they doing with their business. . . I call them ; and they tell me to come over. All I wanted was to remove the used amplifier ; and replace it with the new one I purchased from Amazon. So this man tells me when he sees my set up ; " All of this is wired wrong ; u have Too Many Speakers " Now I knew for sure this wasn't true ; so I got the hint ; he didn't want my business. So I drove to Best buy ; and in less then 20mins ; my used amp was removed ; and my new amp is now playing beautifully...And just for 25$ !! ! ! While Boomers was charging 50-75$ !!! If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. My boyfriend called Boomer in Albany last minute for an issue he was having with his stereo. Richard fit him into his schedule no problem. When my boyfriend was there they got to talking about how his door locks were not working and weren't connecting with his drone mobile device. Richard, with a little time left of the day offered to take a look and see what he could do. My boyfriend has a 1997 Jeep Wrangler and when they were taking the door panel off to look at everything they put a minor crack in the panel. Richard was very upfront about the crack, and even though my boyfriend and I would have never noticed on our own Richard was very transparent about the error and offered to fix the issue. Usually love this place, had my system put in by boomer. Something recently happened and I vrought it to be fixed. The salesman was unable to fix anything and suggested a 1000$ upgrade to solve the undiagnosed issue. I also brought my friend who wanted a system installed in his car. The salesman quoted him at 1300$ for one subwoofer installed and got mad when we said we would buy our own equipment. So very disappointed with boomer. read more

Salesman was a jerk when I asked if I could bring my own equipment to have them install because they didn't sell the head unit I wanted and I already had a sub+amp from my previous vehicle. He had no interest in taking my money for an install. I I ended up using YouTube to figure it out and install it all myself in spite of that guy. Their equipment is overpriced anyway, best buy of all places has better customer service in their automotive installs department. Now that's sad. read more

Went there they sold me a Pioneer auto stereo that lasted a month and quit, went back and they would not fix and could not warranty from pioneer because they had used it for a display. Gave me a used one that also failed. It will not operate below 60 degrees and even then the touch screen does not work so it is stuck on one radio channel and the phone and cd player can not be activated. I paid $850.00 for junk from them and received no support. Very poor customer service, they do not stand behind their products and I feel like I was taken advantage of. Absolutely Amazing, they gave me a very accurate estimate to have a CD/DVD player installed on my new F250 over the phone in the morning. I scheduled it for two days later but they said if I picked up the truck from the dealership I could call to see if they could fit me in....THEY DID!! Drove straight from the dealership to the store where they greeted me and my sons in the nicest possible way with everything already laid out on the counter to show me what we discussed over the phone. I loved it all and they installed my awesome system PROPERLY in about an hour!! So happy with the service, products and pricing they provided!
