The check-in process is consistently quick and efficient (which, if you've ever wrangled an anxious pup, luckily mine is all of 13 pounds, in a waiting room, you know is a gift). We are normally taken promptly back by Emanuel, who sets the tone with professionalism and kindness. Dr. Fritzler is thorough, patient, and never makes me feel rushed. He answers every question I have, even when I ask the same one multiple times in slightly different ways (purely for research purposes, of course, not because I'm not understanding). As someone who's mindful of costs, I really appreciate that recommendations are practical and tailored to my budget without compromising care. Having visited several veterinary offices over the years, this one stands out as especially welcoming, efficient, and genuinely dedicated to the well being of the animals they treat. Dropped our dogs off for boarding and on Day 6 they call to tell both of our dogs are infested with fleas. Not only that they suggested we have our home fumigated due to the excessive amount of fleas. We DO NOT have fleas now nor have we ever. We also use another vet who just saw the dogs 2 weeks ago...did an exam and rabies. No fleas/flea dirt was seen then. There are no fleas in our car from transporting nor any fleas on us. Both dogs are now coughing their heads off so we are heading to the emergency vet to see if they have kennel cough or physical damage to their throat.

They misdiagnosed my cat with feline leukemia, and acted like I was lying when I told them he was never around other cats and was strictly indoors. When my new vet asked them for his records, they denied having any records for him in their system. I believe this is because I told them exactly what I thought of their business before leaving for good. My new vet retested my cat, and he was negative. She also explained exactly what causes a false positive. It was an error made at McGee Street. This is only one of several problems I had there. If you are I able to, I recommend playing nice with this place until you've paid and you have your pet back. Ask the receptionist for their records before letting them know you are taking your business elsewhere. That way you have a copy in case they "disappear from the system." That's exactly what I did, and I am very grateful for it. Oh, and everyone else here is right. They overcharge for their services and rarely include everything in their itemized quotes.

In order to get the medication's that last longer than five days you have to have a prescription. So when I was given the prescription and told to go online to purchase it as they didn't carry it in office, I tried to do so. I tried several places and all require either a written prescription mailed to them, which takes a long time (multiple weeks) or the vet can just call them and approve it. The vet would not call them and approve it. They said they've had difficulties in the past with chewy. I called and tried to talk to chewy about it and got right in to speak with a pharmacy tech no problems at all. So now I'm having to wait while my cat suffers.

He was in extreme pain and wouldn't let me touch his foot, and with his hairy golden doodle paws it was hard to see deep between the pads. The vet dismissed my concerns, insisting it was some sort of impact injury and convinced me to pay $200 for X-rays that showed nothing. They sent us home with pain meds, but when I trimmed the hair and carefully examined the paw myself, a piece of glass fell out, exactly what I suspected from the start. I feel misled, overcharged, and very disappointed in their unwillingness to listen to the pet owner. They also refused a refund after I politely brought my concerns to them the following day. They were not empathic toward how I felt about the situation at all and blamed me because I brought him in on short notice. I was under the impression all customers would be treated the same no matter when they brought their pet in. I wish I could give zero stars.
