In terms of age appropriateness, I'd put Boomers in between Chuck E Cheese and Dave and Busters. The arcade prizes are really good though. I came here for a work function and had a decent time. The food was so-so for the event. Chicken nuggets, some salad, and pizza with fountain drinks. It definitely made me feel like a kid. The seats in the rooms are cramped for adults - I would have spaced them out a bit because most people had trouble getting in and out, and there was barely enough space for plates in front of us. Service was also pretty meh. In terms of activities, we did some mini golf and had a wristband that worked for go-karts. The minigolf was fine - I like the variety of obstacles there. The labeling for the blue/green paths are decent, but could be better. The go-karts were pretty fun. Lots of "friendly" competition. I like how there's a separate go-kart area for kids as well. Had a great night with friends at Boomers! We bought the Late Night pass to have access to most things for the final 2 hours of the night and it was perfect. We played two rounds of mini golf, two rounds of laser tag, a couple of the little rides, and 3 rounds of go-carts! Played mini golf with friends. Mini golf landscaping needs updating; a lot of the statues and golf courses elements have deteriorated. Price is okay, 15.99 per person. No student discount. Service is poor though. Waited a long time for the mini golf equipments. The line was long and the staff was not at the booth. Had to go inside several times to find a staff (they were all gathered around the food court area to blow balloons and putting on birthday hats, I think it's someone's birthday). As a result, the bottleneck at the booth caused long lines at the mini golf areas #1-18; people were waiting to play. read more

Not the best experience but if you don't mind run down rides and cheap entry this might be your kind of thing. There is no fee to enter but if you want to get on the rides and etc you have to pay of course. I came for a birthday party and in knew I wasn't going to try anything possible only the arcade. But good thing I didn't get the pass. There are 2 go kart tracks one for adults/kids and 1 younger children, batting cage, mini golf, water bumper boats, graviton, and another ride that didn't really make sense to me. Theres also a large arcade inside the main building, lounges, and a food court. The food was purely junk food and the drinks were super expensive. I wouldn't go on the graviton though it makes a loud banging noise when it spins. The employees looked miserable and look as they didn't want to be there. But that's the usual reaction I see with employees working at theme parks. I gave it a 3 star just because at least the kids liked it read more

Miniature golf has a lot of value and the most important reason is spending time with our love ones. My son has been wanting to come here for a while now so we decided to give this a try. Miniature: The best deal is to be online on their website. For the miniature golf, kids under 5 play free with a paid adult. The course itself isn't too difficult, but it definitely needs to be updated and is aging-poorly. It needs a refresh/overhaul to be more modern and up to the standard that they want to have. That's why we are giving this place 2 stars. It's clean and not too busy on a Tuesday evening. I'm sure summer weekends are packed and a bit more rowdy. Food: The food is very expensive and not really worth it. We sneaked in our own snacks and drinks so we can save more money. Arcade: Plays in the arcade for a while. It's impossible to win anything or win a lot of tickets. Bathrooms: Very clean but needs to be updated. The bathrooms outside is very dirty. Parking: lots of plenty of parking. Next to bowling alley. Definitely a great place to have an outing with family and friends. Attractions: 5 stars Arcade games, go kart racing, carnival style rides, miniature golf and batting cages. There's a lot to do here. Seating: 5 stars There is a lot of indoor seating. As long as the tables and chairs are available, you could easily pull together tables for a larger party. This is what I saw a party of 15 or so people did while I was there. For outside seating, there are designated areas. My party and I were able to find seating that is first come, first serve by the miniature golf courses. There is plenty of covered picnic bench seating there. Restrooms: 3 stars I am so grateful for the barn restrooms in the same area as our seating. This is so convenient because people in our party didn't have to walk all the way back to the arcade just to wash their hands. However, the condition of the restrooms could have been much cleaner. In the women's restroom, there were 3 stalls. Only one stall was working. One was locked and the other had a clogged toilet. Food and drink: 3 stars The food and drinks are pricey, but I guess it is to be expected. However what really surprised me is the fact that a 12oz bag of cotton candy is $7.99 plus tax and a regular size slurpee (12oz??) is $7.99. I did order the chicken sandwich with fries for $12.99 or $14.99. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. It was very, very tasty. Staff: 5 stars Making our reservations and getting checked in went by smoothly. No issues. When I couldn't find where the picnic tables were, I asked a staff member and she was more than happy to help direct me. Shout out to Deon who worked the water boat attraction. He is super attentive to all the guests. I watched him welcome people to the ride and assist them if they needed help getting on and off the ride. He engaged in conversation as people waited for their turn. He is polite, friendly and definitely went above and beyond to make sure the people who came to the attraction had a fun time. My son and his friends LOVED this attraction to best. TLDR Great place for outing with family and friends. Lots of seating inside and outside. Food is good, but pricey. What a shame! Used to come here as a kid.... $140 to play mini golf, go kart and play some arcade games with my son. Not to mention lunch!!! A quesadilla and kids hot dog $36. Staff is so beyond lazy not one single table was cleaned off to eat our food. Really fun activities for my 8 year old and seemed to be well run was also very clean

I bought the "Elite All Day + 2X Arcade Credits - Irvine" for $36.99 + $2 online fee - $0 tax each. Tickets were was cheaper online. The overall experiences were underwhelming. There were not that many atractions to try. Staff was friendly with scanning in out online tickets but was not very helpful when I asked for some information since this was my first time here. Perhaps, they could share some details like where the games/attractions/golf club check out etc are. There was only 1 person in line behind me but three staff were not as enthusiastic. Well, we figured out as we went. Arrive early at 11am at open to make the best of your time. Go-Karts: some worked well and some were barely breathing. You can pushed the Green gas pedal with all your human strength and it will not move during the race! Some riders rode those go-karts like they were on a race track - mostly young teenage boys and their father bumping and trying to race each other during my first round there in the early afternoon on a Saturday. Not mindful of other around them. Some staff just let everyone in without scanning their Boomer cards, or check the go-karts or seatbelts, disorganized with which go-karts to go in which late after each round. Second round in the late afternoon was more decent. One particular staff actually came around and checked everyone seatbelts and made sure every go-karts was working. Scanned everyone card before entering. Rookie Go Karts - terrible! There were only 2 go-karts for little kids. One worked well and the other one barely moved. The poor little kid pushed with all their strength and it would not move. Staff did not change it either and blamed it on the little kids that they were not pushing hard enough. We stood there long enough see that one worked well and the other barely moved! Miniature Golf: Because I was there at peak hour - early afternoon on Saturday because it was packed. Some people were mindful of others but others just stood around and talked or young kids messing around and their parents laughed along. We simply just moved or skipped when it became too obnoxious to be around. However, some others were friendly, followed the path and we enjoyed many Golf Holes. Maybe Boomer will have more business and able to send a staff to walk around the golf course to remind people to be mindful of other players and move things along. Splash Island - Bumper Boats - Water attraction - it was cold and I did not want to get wet so I skipped. Ye Rockin Tug Ride, Magic Tea Cups Ride, Starship Ride, Tilt N Shout Ride - I skipped. Batting Cages - extra cost. I did not try today but seemed fun. LAZER Tag - Somehow I did not see it and forgot to ask staff about it. Inside ARCADE - hit or miss. A few of the games did not work and we kept having to walk to front desk to get our credits back. It felt warm and stuffy inside. Wheel Of Fortune, Basketball, air hockey were fun at least. I decided not reload my game card credits. I hope Boomer has a staff walking around the arcade area to check each machines and put out signs on ones that are out of order. Some machine took a few try before it read the game cards - frustrating. Some did not read at all! Food Court - there's a food court but I did not eat here today. Birthday Party: I saw a couple rooms with people celebrating birthday. I actually came here to check out the place to see if I would book a party here for a family member but I am not sure anymore. Restroom: restroom inside was clean and staff walk in and out to clean it up. The restroom outside near the golf course was unpleasant. Dried "stuff" was on the toilet. I'll spare you the details. I hope staff would check outside restroom too and clean up. read more

I was initially hesitant due to many low Yelp reviews; however, I went ahead and took a chance. My family had an awesome time, including two energetic boys aged 7 and 9. Parking: There is ample parking, especially during the day when it's not busy. It gets crowded late afternoon and all through the evening. Entrance: The "All day pass" was $50; however, when bought online, they gave me a 30% discount! It includes access to all rides along with a $100 credit for games per person. Additionally, there was an option to buy a lunch combo with a collector's drink for $13, which is a bargain! Rides: A. Bumper Boats: It's sort of hard to drive the boat as it tends to go in circles. Be prepared to get wet by the other boats as they continuously attempt to spray water at you. You can tell them to stop or not shoot, which can set the tone prior to the ride. B. Mini Golf: This was a great way for the family to bond and have friendly competition. Be sure to get the golf scorecard to track the number of strokes. If the ball falls into the water, go and get a new one for free. C. Go Kart: Kids can sit with the Adult in the go-kart and enjoy the speed and adrenaline. They do have a small go-kart for the little ones, but be sure they go on that one first, or they will be disappointed due to the slow speed. D. Laser Tag: My whole family enjoyed competing with each other and also against each other. It was usually around 7-10 people max playing each time, which made it more intimate. E. Games: The games were similar to those at Dave & Buster's. The bowling game, I felt, is the best for getting the most tickets. F. Food: As expected, it's theme park food, and the portions were okay, but the kids liked it. The collector's cup refills are $3. G. Be sure to keep the game cards and your wristbands for all rides, which is how they track that you paid. Overall, we stayed for 7 hours and didn't expect to have so much fun. Had an amazing time at a very well respected and managed team over at boomers this past weekend. Every request that I had made to the staff was fulfilled. To finding a game that I wanted to watch on one of the TVs, to getting a Band-Aid for a cut that my kid had received, to the go kart staff finding a bracelet that had fallen off and they retrieved it for me. Boomers was a bummer! I waited to post a review in hopes of speaking with someone in corporate but it's been a week and no one has contacted me back. We arrived at Boomers in Irvine at 1pm on a Monday. I purchased 3 all day passes online. I checked in at the front, they gave us our bands and we got to select our golf gear. After our round of golf we stopped to snack and hydrate and then headed to bumper cars. No one was at the location so we pressed the red button. There was a handful of people waiting. After about 10 min I walked up to two employees standing by the golf return center that later identified themselves as Managers. I informed them that we were waiting and there was no one manning any of the activities outside other than the race cars. He laughed at me and said that someone would be down there shortly, I informed him we had already been waiting for a while to which he replied he just heard someone was going down from the walkie. We had to press the red button and wait at every activity since no one was at any of the stations. Lastly, I went to use the restroom by the golf course at 7pm and even though there was a sign that stated "restrooms are to remain unlocked during business hours" they were locked. As a person with a medical disability I made a choice to go to the restroom I deemed closer only to have to double back to the one all the way on the other side of the park. I can honestly say that I feel ripped off. It was undoubtedly a waste of money and I personally do not recommend. read more

Wow Boomers, you have the worst customer service. I was trying to call Front Desk, Reservations, anyone that would pick up because no one picked up all day. Until Reservations did at end of day. They transferred me to a "number" which happened to be the same option I was calling all day. I called back to tell her and she transferred me again, cutting me off. I called back again and she stopped picking up altogether. So Reservations over 50 ppl lady, I hope you are happy with yourself. As you walk in you're surrounded by a wide range of video games plenty to choose from like Air hockey, House of the Dead, Mario Kart and other cool games. Big location with many activities to do with the family. They have a decent size mini golf section, water bumper boats, baseball range, fun rides, and good food choices. I recommend coming on week days because it gets too crazy on weekend. The only reason I'm giving this a 3 star review is because of the laser tag experience. My 2 boys informed me that workers were angry and yelling at them, and they said they only went for 2 minutes and equipments were not working properly. This staff is over worked and in turn creates hostility and a lack of customer service. We paid for unlimited attractions only to wait in line for 30 min hoping a worker would come to operate the ride. The workers could care less and would just walk by. The girl at the front check in (Deja) was incredibly rude and cold. I can understand the workers outside being frustrated but not someone sitting in the ac. What a shame, the managers were very polite and apologetic but something needs to change here or just close your doors. read more

Parking was very narrow and crowded for cars that were not compact...Building was a large space...not terribly busy due to Labor Day ..disappointed that some main attractions were CLOSED....attendants were not at rides ..we had to go FIND ONE....to get us on the ride...bating cages were not working properly..we paid for 25 pitches ..and only one 5...I went back and they reloaded the card and that time we got 1 pitch...the attendant told us the machines were very OLD...we did go on go-carts, played mini golf, laser tag, bumper boats and crazy upside down ride ...food was ridiculous expensive ..so we left and went somewhere else..being out of state ..I had higher expectations for Southern California ...We were 3 adults and 2 teenagers...we enjoyed the mini golf the most ...all attendants seemed "checjed out" except for attendant passing out golf balls and bats for batting cages ..they smiled and made me feel welcomed ..I don't think I will be back... read more

Hey deleting the 1 star reviews won't fix your broken arcade machines or your incompetent customer service from your lazy management. For those reading the reviews beware, when you win a jackpot or tickets from the arcade machine, while the machine is counting the tickets won, if you or anyone else swipes their game card before the tickets are done counting, it will not give you the total tickets won. So for example let's say you won a jackpot of 1000 tickets, and while it's in the processing of counting at 24 out of 1000, and you swipe to play again, you'll only get 24 tickets and not the full 1000 you won. This is false advertisement and a scam. People pay real money to play your arcade machines, similar to how people in Vegas pay real money for the casino slot machines. The best part is when you complain about this to the staff or management, even with a video of your win, they will lie to you saying the cameras are broken, the system has no way to input the tickets you won, and they can only refund 1 game play than to compensate what you paid to win. Just imagine buying a lottery ticket for a $1 and you won $1000 but they just give you the dollar back. That's fraud. In fact their internal system does allow them to compensate what you won within seconds. All they have to do is input your game card information and manually input the tickets won. But the staff and management rather be lazy and incompetent and argue with you than to resolve the issue. This is how you lose customers by raising your admission prices and not fixing your broken arcade machines, and giving incompetent customer service. Train your staff and management better. There's better places to play mini golf and gokart like Camelot, and arcade machines at RoundOne and Dave and Buster. read more

Boomers is a fun place to take the kids / teens ! I wish the adults would let the kids enjoy the rides. It's very disappointing when kids have to wait over 20 minutes to get on a ride but the reason they have to wait so long is because grown men are constantly cutting the line. I wish the ride attendants would do a better job monitoring the line to prevent this from happening! The Boomer's manager was great when I brought up the issue but it's just frustrating situation to be in. read more
