Confession, we were not able to do any of the activities because we looked online. We checked the website and we checked yelp and everything said that the time would be open (Tuesday 3pm), but when we arrived, we saw this sign in my picture attached. You can imagine the heartbreak in my kids as they were looking forward to trying this place out. I'm sure there's a reason for them closing either understaffed or something came up, but I wish they would update that somewhere somehow if it was a whole day. The picture is from Tuesday and we were from out of town.

We came here for a fun date activity and it was so much fun!!! The whole experience lasted approximately 15-20 minutes and by the end, we were sweating bullets- it's actually a work out running around for that long but it was a blast! We walked in with no reservation on a Wednesday early afternoon and there was no wait. Service was great, I called them to confirm hours of operation and they missed my call as they were helping another customer but immediately called me back twice and left a voicemail and was very responsive. Definitely wear comfortable shoes that you can run around in.

The great thing is that the ARC opens up at 6 am during normal hours, so you can get your work out in super early. It also closes pretty late, for those who like a work out at night. If you are a student at the ARC, I highly recommend trying the group fitness classes or the martial arts classes. Exercise regimen are just easier to maintain with a group, especially if you are just starting. Traditional Jiujitsu is taught by Ray, who is super chill and teaches you the fundamentals of self-defense. The Brazilian Jiujitsu class is taught by Harrison and Cheri, who are both upper belts under blackbelts Coach AJ / Coach Alex who teach at Valhalla Jiujitsu. They are extremely knowledgable, friendly, and know how to motivate a class and keep it fun.

Briana was so kind in taking the time to explain how certain equipment and machines work. She was very patient and helpful to me. The front desk staff are always kind and helpful. I feel like this is one of the more cramped areas of the park both from guests trying to get on rides and just move to other areas of the park. Walkways are narrow and windy which means it can be tricky to move around on busy days. If you're in a large group, please be mindful of this and don't stop in the middle to check a map or talk or something. Move to the side to let people move through more easily. The crowds aside, I think this area has some great attractions. From the classic (& admittedly hokey) Tiki Room to the thrill filled Indiana Jones ride. This area really has a little something for everyone. And don't sleep on the food! Beyond the iconic Dole Whip, places like Bangal Barbecue offer treats unlike anything else at the park. Be sure to spend some time in Adventureland. Don't just use it as your way to get in to New Orleans Square. It's worthy of spending a few hours in on your trip to Disneyland.

When you walk in, it's a little confusing at first since it's not super clear where to go and the place is pretty spacious. We initially went to the cashier, and they directed us to the computers on the side to sign the waivers first, then come back to pay. After we paid, they told us the wait would be about 30 minutes, but surprisingly they called our names within just 2 to 3 minutes while we were still walking around. That was a nice bonus. :) They provided headsocks for free, and we didn't have to pay extra or sign up for any annual membership. Each race is supposed to be 12 laps, but if someone finishes early, you might end up doing less. One of the boys completed 11 laps, but didn't affect the experience at all. As we were exiting, we saw a podium area so kids hopped on for a quick photo. I've been here before for birthday parties and even with coworkers, and every time has been consistently fun. The staff was friendly and everything ran smoothly. Not really sure why this place gets some negative reviews. I haven't experienced anything negative. Would definitely come back.

Last Tues was their ribbon-cutting ceremony inaugurating 8 brand-new public pickleball courts in Irvine. + Tall fences to minimize ball-on interferences. + Many tables and benches to sit around. + Many clean restrooms 1-3mins walk away. + Enough baseline room for retrieving lobs. . Okay sideline room for ATPs. . Wide skill range there, from novices to high-intermediate players. - LONG wait. Since the first day, crowds rushed in to line up for open play. The rack is already full with 30+ paddles. + During middle of the day (lunchtime), it's empty. . Only one rack queue for all 4 (or 8) open-play courts. - Starting yesterday (Fri 2/6/26) the other 4 courts became reservation crts. -- On the first day, it was chaotic. My paddle was first in line. A game ended and someone called next 4 and gave me my paddle. I turned to hop on an open court, but no court was open. I turned back and the queue had already shifted along, so there was no spot at the front for me to put my paddle back. I asked around. One person said he was in the same situation, then he grabbed an open 4-paddle holder to put his paddle back in front of the line. I tried to put mine in, but he kept blocking me out to let his folks put theirs in. I was dumbfounded, disgruntled, distraught. No one cared to help my situation. An Irvine city employee walked by, and I explained my situation to him. He couldn't offer much help. After a few min, I accepted my miserable situation and put my paddle back in the end of the line. I only got to play 1 game that day. - The city employees should've known better. Keep 1 or 2 members monitoring the hectic paddle queue to ensure no one gets cut in line. . Moral of the day: before removing your paddle from the front of the line to hop on the next court, make sure you know which court # you're going to, make sure the ppl there are leaving, make sure the other 3 ppl in your group of 4 are going with you. . Idea: If you do wind up in my situation, and you've already lost your place in line, one thing you can try is grab an empty 4-paddle holder, squeeze it in to the front of the line, and put your paddle in. Offer any 3 random ppl (who are already near the front of the line) to join your 1st-place paddle holder. If people object, explain your sad situation first. If they remain adamant, I guess the mission's a no-go, then you'll end up having to return your paddle to the end of the line. I'm only just thinking of this idea now. Didn't get to try it while I was caught up in the moment. Hope the same thing doesn't happen to you.
