This place is a rip off, Spent over $200 on this machine specifically just to see if it was possible to try and win one of these stuffed animals and it wasn't. I'm a 27 year old adult with a group of adults who all tried to win a toy and if we can't even win at these games I don't think it's possible for a child too which just isn't fair. After notifying multiple staff members who also noticed management, They all were of no help and also said that they didn't even have the keys to the machines in order to try and make it a little easier which I also believe is absolutely ridiculous. Game cards are also super expensive, some games including this one are almost 5$ each play.... CRAZY Food was also disgusting and inconsistent, Our patty got multiple orders of macaroni and cheese and they all came out with different consistencies.... Won't send coming here again, There's a lot of places that have games that are easier for the children. Birthday planning for kids can be stressful and expensive. I was looking around for a place that was affordable yet fun for kids and Boomers was the perfect match for what I was looking for! I purchased the Gold package and planning was stress free - the staff reached out to me via email and called me a few days before the event to confirm the details. The pizza (which was actually good) was more than enough for the kids and I had ordered 2 more plus salads and drinks for the adults and had left overs. You have the party room for 90 mins which is enough time to eat pizza and have cake (bring your own) and if you wanted to, open presents. The rooms are big and have plenty of chairs and tables for food and presents. They included drinks, cups, plates, napkins, utensils and even a lighter. The staff will bring the food to you and even help cut the cake! The arcade was what you expected; a mix of racing, physical, shooters, crane games but the points (you get 100) ran out pretty quickly. The 4 hours of unlimited attractions however was where the value was; we really liked that there was a mix of go-karts, mini golf, batting cages, actual carnival like rides and bumper boats. There's a lot to do and the waits weren't long either. The most popular attraction were the go-karts but that was to be expected. The kids loved everything and the adults were impressed at the amount of experiences being offered. A huge shout out to Yassmin who was our party server/host - she was extremely attentive and helpful. Also, the General Manager named Sean came by to introduce himself and asked how things were going and we appreciated that - he was very welcoming. read more

We started off having a great time with the family and everything was going well. But the whole experience took a turn when the general manager started yelling at my kids. Went to complain and finding out he's the one yelling? That was a shock. And when I tried to talk to someone about it, no one seemed to know who to go to. I'm giving two stars only because of the staff who were actually great. Darius really stood out super friendly and great with the kids. There are clearly good people working here who enjoy their jobs, which makes it even more disappointing that the person in charge doesn't seem to. We hosted a corporate event here and it was great! Since we had our event on a Tuesday, the venue wasn't crowded so we basically had a run of the location. We also had a lot of international employees attend, so this was a special treat for them to experience a fun and different after hours activity. I've lived in Irvine for over 15 years and have visited boomers quite frequently. I usually overlook how depressing the arcade area looks or how dirty the restrooms are because it's really the only mini golf place nearby and it's a place we've been going to for years. It looks like they are making upgrades and renovating some areas which I would give commendations for but today's experience sealed the deal for us to never come back. The employee who rang us up handed me the receipt and told me to fill out the top and sign the bottom. I looked and you only had to fill it out and sign if you wanted to tip. I'm not tipping to buy an arcade card. Sorry if you feel different but again it's how the situation was handled. I usually tip restaurant servers generously but not when I'm just purchasing something. Anyways, I told her I didn't need to sign it since there was no place to sign it and she said I had to sign it so I could fill out the top (the extra tip). I said I wasn't planning on tipping and she made me feel so uncomfortable. I watched her do the same with others when we were leaving. You do NOT need to leave a tip and you do NOT need to sign the second receipt that is printed out. I don't know if this is how they are being trained now but the staff before did not try pushing tips. read more

Used to come here as a kid, decided to give it a shot and bring my kids for mini golf. There was just one person in line in front of us at the check in to purchase our golf when we arrived. We waited over TWENTY minutes and they were still not close to being done helping this one customer (two employees) with their party purchase of food, games etc. extremely inefficient for a Saturday when the place is packed to not be able to serve a second customer. By that time the line was out the door since it hadn't moved in so long. The cherry on top was the power then went out (just at Boomers, no where else) - so they kicked everyone out. This place is outdated and will surely go out of business soon due to their poor management. Avoid and spend your money elsewhere. read more

Boomers in Irvine is great fun and the people working in the gokart area were so helpful. My son lost his phone whlle riding in a go-kart and one of the workers, William A, actually checked the whole track area to look for it. Then another worker, Ky H, checked the carts and found it!!! I wished I would have saved my money. I paid 27.99 for 4 people (including a 5 year old and 2 year old). This was the twilight ticket price for all attractions 2 hours before closing. We rode three rides. The rest of the rides were closed and the others, no employees were there to run them. Even after pushing a button near the ride for assistance. Mini golf was just okay. Not sure what I was expecting. The arcade was $10 for 50 tickets. The games start from 5 tickets a play. So we got about 5 plays in. Most of the employees looked like they didn't want to be there. The facility itself is fine--a typical kid-oriented arcade. However, the games are a total rip-off. They charge a kid over $5 each time to try to win a small stuffed animal (that is probably worth $2). The machines feel rigged and thus the child hardly ever wins. As a result, you lose $50 in about 5 minutes and your kid goes home unhappy. They need to let a kid win more often to make it a reasonable experience. read more

Fun place for everyone. You check in for all activities just as you to enter and to the left. There you can buy tickets for the attractions, to include rides, the racetrack, and mini golf. Be sure to check online for specials, they do have deals. There are two different mini golf courses to play on, for two players it takes about 35-45 minutes. There's enough verity in the course that you don't get bored. Just be careful around the bushes if your ball goes in, the bushes are not friendly. They scratch and there appeared to be some poison ivy in one spot. The racetrack is ton of fun. You have to be 58" tall to drive the car alone. If you are driving with someone the height requirement is taller. You get to ride for about five minutes. Don't forget everyone riding needs to be in the line at the same time. They don't allow for saving spots. We didn't get a chance to try snack bar. We were able to see that the offerings were perfect if you wanted a quick bite to eat. We also did not visit the restrooms, although we did see one located outside as walked to the mini golf course. They also have batting cages, those seemed busy. Several rides line the right side of the property. Tea cups, the old graviton (now named something else), and a ride that looks like it swings back and forth, but instead goes fully up and around. Not for those who are afraid of heights. The outdoor area offers a place for adults to sit and relax and enjoy an adult beverage while the kids play. This is directly through the arcade and going out the door toward the attractions, to the left side. There are also what appears to be party cabanas for rent. It looked like a fun place to have a party. The pricing wasn't bad. It was 15.99 per player for the mini golf and the racetrack was 20.99 with one rider driving and the other riding. That only covers one round of 18 holes per person and two people on the racetrack at the same time for one 5 or so minute ride. Pricing is better for the last two hours of each day, so if you're looking for a deal that may be the best time. Overall, I liked the place, could use a little bit of updating on the mini golf course, but other than that it was great! read more

We had a Holiday Party for our team here at Boomers . We had over 70 people in attendance. All the employees working, but maybe 2, were just not happy to be working on this Monday night. The 3 counter people looked like we interrupted there "day" by being there. Have you ever had that feeling that your business is not appreciated or wanted. We invested a lot to be here, and we feel like it was a big mistake. Only limited rides were open for the park. We secured/reserved a room and ordered a lot of food and beverages. Wings were great. That's it. Pizza's were below average. Bottom line, we will never be back. Our guests were also understanding that we didn't plan for this attitude from the staff. We celebrated and were out within 3 hours; per our agreement. Proceed with caution. read more

Celebrated my son's birthday here and we had a wonderful time! At one point, there was an unfortunate incident with one of the boys getting his arm, stuck in the claw machine. It was honestly just boys being boys-ironic because we truly had a nice group of well behaved boys, not out of control troublemakers at all. Management jumped right in and freed his arm, knowing exactly what to do. They not only were fast, but they were so kind about it even giving the kids some candy from the machine, probably thinking it could've been a scary experience. I felt like this could've been handled in a way where they were not-so-nice so it was really great to see how wonderful they were. I am blanking on the manager's name, but I would really like to get it so I can add to this review. We were there 11/17 around noon. This place was okay. I came here for the mini golf and walked around the place until I found it the selection or arcade games are pretty alright. It's similar to going to Dave and busters in terms of the amount of games available and how spacious the area is. The mini golf price per person wasn't that expensive but I just felt like the mini golf rounds were not too exciting. Half of the mini golf rounds were similar or repeats to each other so I felt like I was doing the same game over again. Out first Covid-19 attempt at a non beach outdoor entertainment place. We really wanted to do something for Ian's birthday during these crazy times. Every year we have taken him to a different place (Chronologically: Long Beach aquarium, Santa Ana Zoo, Irvine Regional Park, Billy Bee's, Incredible John's, Disney World, Legoland & Knott's/Medieval Times). This year we took him to the beach, but the Mrs. felt it was not enough. So, she researched and we took the chance of going to miniature golf at Boomers. Good call. Everything open at Boomers currently is outdoor. A lady took our temperature and inquired about our general well being prior to admitting us into the property (See Picture). We walked to the outdoor counter and purchased a round of golf for Ian and I. *Note* We were not comfortable yet to have Ian do go carting. It was very tempting until we saw a gentleman bend over and manually unstrap the seat belts of the kids on the cart. His mask was definitely not wholly covering his exhaling. (-1) Golf was fun. We spent a good 60 Minute playing, and having a blast. Patrons were practicing social distancing, and wearing PPE. So, it felt safe. We will definitely be back in the future. read more
