This was our second visit to Booms. It wasn't busy, but it was also mid afternoon. We ordered at the counter and we were given a number to take to the table. We were offered a frosty mug for our drinks which definitely made it a more enjoyable experience. I have to give a big shout out to the staff and customer service. Our pepperoni pizza came out with a home in it . The staff member said it happens once in a while. She offered to make a whole new pizza. We thought that would be wasteful and said it was ok. The hour wait for pickup seemed excessive for the day and time ordered. Once I got the specialty pizza (Boom ' Shroom) home, I found the crust to be quite tough, the cheese rather sparse, and it was fairly short on the requested extra mushrooms. First time at Boom's Pizza and it did not disappoint! The ambiance of Boom's is unbeatable! It was not super busy when we came in around 6pm on a Tuesday. We were able to get a good seat in the booths and the wait time was not long at all. The staff made sure to explain the menu to us, alone with any specials, as it was our first time here. We were able to split a pizza, which was INCREDIBLE! The red sauce is sweet and we both loved the herby garlic dip that we had added onto the side. That is a must!! "Born out of hard times", Boom's Pizza slogan is definitely catchy. The owner, Ben, is the same owner who owned the now closed Spice Kitchen & Bar which closed in 2020 during COVID. I loved Spice Kitchen even though I had only been there once but their food was astounding. I'm glad the Spice Farms and Spice Catering business is still alive PIZZA -- ($19 pizza - 14" size, 6 slices) I ordered the "OG Pepperoni" pizza in the middle of February 2024 to take home so I didn't sit and eat inside the restaurant. The pizza was hard and not very enjoyable to eat by the time I arrived home. Actually, I maybe only ate 1 slice out of the whole pizza. Normally, I'm used to a soft crust and a juicy pizza. I've had harder crusts before but nothing compared to how hard the OG pepperoni pizza was. Granted, I remember being about 15 mins late in picking up my pizza and I just now read that I should have popped the pizza in the oven when I got home to "bring it back to life". We were in town for a couple of days and felt like pizza. Boom's was recommended by a bartender at a downtown brewery, so we made the short trip out to Lakeview. The two of us split a pizza, half margherita, half pepperoni. The young woman behind the counter gifted us a garlic and basil dipping sauce, telling us that it comes highly recommended, too! We tasted it and it was very strong and very good, but when the pizza arrived, we discovered that the flavor was so robust that the dipping sauce would've been too much. The red sauce at Boom's is really unique and flavorful. The pizza was a bit sloppy wet; that's probably because they drizzle garlic oil on the margherita. We each ate most of our three pieces but it was a struggle! We just didn't want to throw any away and we didn't want to take leftovers back to our Airbnb. Went to Boom's Pizza last night for the first time. You order at the front and seat yourself. We ordered a pizza and cheesy bread sticks. Drinks can be purchased from a cooler. Pizza came out and was delicious, but cheesy breadsticks didn't so the server walking around checked on it and provided us with 2 complimentary garlic dipping sauces for the inconvenience. Breadsticks came out shortly and also had great flavor with actual slivers of garlic. It was served with a side of sauce. My only regret is not trying a gooey butter cup. read more

Ordered takeout and had to wait 50 minutes to receive 1 pizza. Watched multiple people that came in after me receive multiple pizzas first. Manager also offered refunds & future free pizza tokens to other people who had to wait but not everyone. Staff seemed constantly confused, another customer mentioned the staff had accidental given away their pizza to someone else just earlier. My husband and I dined at Boom's Pizza not long ago after hearing much hype. We both thought it was "pretty good" but not excellent. What I did think was excellent was the side of garlic sauce our cashier recommended. I think if you order pizza from here, the sauce is a must (assuming you like garlic). We did a half and half with the pizza and both agreed that the cheese side was superior to the Margherita side. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was simple but it worked for a pizza joint. Went in and tried this place unexpectedly and wow was I impressed Margarita pizza was great! Wasn't overly filling but great portions. Salads are a bit pricy $12 and if split by 2 is not quite enough as a side. I got the sweet and seedy and the dressing was so tasty, I didn't love the candied fennel seed it tasted like sprinkles but that's just a personal preference. From the excellent pizza to the tasty dipping sauces for your crust to the quirky plastic dinosaurs hidden all around the restaurant, there are so many things to like about a meal here. Boom's Pizza is a relatively new pizza restaurant in Lakewood that has been on my must-try list for a few months now. Lakewood is not that close to me but my girl's group scheduled a hang-out at Boom's the other day so I was finally able to try their picture-perfect Pizza! The five of us ordered two pizzas to split: one sausage and peppers ($24) and one el bianco ($22). These massive pizzas were cut into Costco-sized slices (but hopefully not Costco like calories. Yikes!) The el bianco is a vegetarian and relatively plain white pizza but I was a fan of the oil and the seasonings in the cheese! I wish chicken was a topping option as it would have been perfect on the el bianco! Next was the meaty red pizza. The sausage on the sausage and peppers pizza was incredibly good quality crumble sausage. This was the better of the two pizzas. The bready/crust was unique to Boom's. It was a chewy, airy crust and a stick-to-your-teeth gluten which I liked. However, each slice had a burnt crispness from the wood fire which overwhelmed the entire taste, unfortunately. I couldn't focus on the cheese, sauce, and toppings. I consider this a misfire. I'd love it if they offered more sizes but the hostess said they probably never will. As a very single person who usually has to curb her constant pizza cravings by herself and has a proclivity to binge if leftovers are brought home, an eatery that offers massive pizzas as the only option won't be frequently visited by me. Ordered take-out online and had a wonderful experience! Food was ready quickly and at projected time. The pizza dough is deliciously chewy and light! The salads are unique and fresh, and there's plenty of drink options to choose from, both with alcohol or without. All staff were very friendly, and although we did not stay to eat inside it was well organized, well lit, and clean when we stopped in for pick-up! We ordered the veggie might without mushrooms, and they happened to make it with mushrooms so when we came in for pick-up they had already made us a new one without and we got the original with mushrooms for free too! Wow!! The husband and I have been looking for a pizza place that we haven't tried yet, it was between Angelo's and Boom's. We are SO happy we ended up at Boom's. It's a cute little place with very chill vibes. We appreciated their smaller menu, especially since I can get overwhelmed with too many choices. The pizza came out just before I ordered the whipped ricotta. Before leaving we decided to give their dessert a try. We were planning to get the Gooey Butter Cup - Nutella flavor and a CBD water that piqued my husband's interest. While picking them out the server raved about the Vegan Pudding Cup. While we were hesitant, it turned out to be delicious!! I'm not sure if it's because I knew it was Vegan that the coconut flavor came through, but I guarantee if I hadn't known that I wouldn't have noticed it at all!! It is REALLY delicious!! Came with a fairly large group this past weekend and we were fortunate to get a table for indoor dining. Set-up is fast-casual style where you pick your drink(s) from a cooler or selection of wine bottles then proceed to the counter to provide your meal order. Our group got a bunch of items to share...Italian salad, whipped ricotta and three pizzas: shroom boom white pie, OG pepperoni red pie and a hot stuff + pepps red pie. We took a seat at our table and settled in to our drinks and the appetizers. The salad looked substantial although I did not have any. The whipped ricotta dish came topped with a spicy pepper jelly and was served with crackers on the side that we could dip in the mix. It was creamy and had a slight kick. The pies all came out at the same time. Consensus favorite was the hot stuff + pepps most especially due to the hot honey topper. The pepperoni cups were crisped up just right and held that hot oil for a tasty slice. The roasted garlic on the shroom pie was the hit of this white pie. The crusts on these pizzas was slightly puffier than a thin-crust style dough and had a nicely browned bottom and "chew" to eat bite taken. Thankfully, their red sauce mix was hardly sweet, a welcome change from many other spots around Cleveland. For the price, there are probably better places around town, but if in the area this is a solid option. read more

The general concerns us from the four of us trying the pizzas was: we wouldn't recommend. It reminded me of high school cafeteria pizza. Maybe people like the nostalgic vibe? The only positives are: the pizza is not too greasy and one person thought the gluten-free was in his top favorites. Crust was on the thinner side and a bit crunching on the outside. They loaded the veggie pizza with a ton of fresh veggies. It was really good. The cheese garlic pizza was perfectly paired. The salad is on the smaller side but decent. Comparing prices to similar joints in the wood, I was a bit taken by the paper plates and the self serves. I mean I basically got everything I needed for my self except for the pizza, which was delivered to our table upon completion of baking. I even had to bus my own table. I would have preferred a real plate. Two pizzas, one salad and a beer came to $60. Again, great pizza but self serve. The employees are pleasant and polite.
