Love this place. Tried their pizza for the very first time today. It's your traditional style pizza in line with Old School Pizza and the old Master Pizzas, but better! I got their version of the meat lover's pizza and they really do load up the toppings...seriously! The crust is sweet and chewy, but not too chewy. Great sausage, and the pepperoni had to be real pork. The cheese was plentiful. Love this place. It was a bit of a drive, but I'll definitely be back. They make excellent home-made cannolli too! The ingredients again are quality ingredients. Traditional filling which was excellent. The shell is a bit soft, but that's to be expected unless they fill it to order, which most places don't. Pizza is excellent. First time. We got a large deluxe and a large pep/saus/gp Also large dinner salad. $52 . Very pricey. Plus the credit card machine asks for a tip. I hate that since I picked it up. I gave a 20% tip which was a bit much. $62 . No more tipping for pick up. Otherwise, food was excellent!! read more

My husband and I stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon on our way to the airport, and we chose Dante's because the internet said it was the best pizza closest to the airport. It was pretty good pizza and it was indeed close! I wished they had more pizzas by the slice available when we visited, but to be fair, it was a weird time of day in between lunch and dinner. We each had two slices, and they filled us up so well. Our pizza experience felt so classic. No air conditioning on the day we visited, but there was enough air flow with the open door for it to be pleasant. This seems to be primarily a takeaway location. Dantes has very friendly staff and the food is good. Pizzas are quality. Cannolis were sparsly filled this last visit but I don't think that is the norm. I have definitely had great cannolis there. Fried chicken and jojos are my thing with pizza. My son likes their fried mozzarella sticks. I took the star because of salt. I find most American food places are really heavy on the salt and I'm speaking out. One can always add salt but one can't take it out!!! read more

What I love most about Dante's Pizza is the speciality pies. I love the creative combinations of toppings they put together. They aren't afraid to be bold and try something new. Online ordering was easy and efficient, and the order was ready when promised. The garlic cheesy bread (you need red sauce, IMO, so I had some!), was throwing strong Pizza Hut personal pan pizza vibes. Now - I grew up in the 90's, and am of that age group where the more books you read, the more pizza you could acquire. So, I very much enjoyed the similarity, and this is not meant as an insult to local pizza shops! I enjoyed my cannoli as well, particularly the little maraschino cherries on the ends. I'm a sucker for those too. They also keep a shaker of red pepper flakes next to the register for a quick sprinkle on your to-go order. Nice touch! Pizza was fine, but the service wasn't great. Asking for plates (which were clearly visible), pepper flakes, and parmesan packs felt like a personal inconvenience. I didn't even dare ask for ranch. Tried the Maui pizza of the month as well as several other 9" house pies and all were delicious. My fiancé and I are new to the Cleveland area and while exploring the Metroparks we headed home and saw Dante's sign for a slice of pizza. We don't normally stop somewhere on a whim and my fiancé convinced me to live in the moment and give it a shot. I headed in to get two slices of pizza and unfortunately they only had one, but I purchased it and made my way back to the car. My fiancé and I proceeded to share the one slice and honestly, it was delicious!! We told ourselves we'd be back to try more of their food. That was on Sunday. Well Monday came and we were set on Dante's, only to discover they're closed on Mondays, no big deal. Today is Tuesday and they offer 20% off all pizzas every Tuesday. So we placed our order online and drove to Dante's. We ordered breaded mushrooms, jalapeño poppers, 4 piece chicken dinner, a Hot Honey Pie and Pizza Bianca. First, the breaded mushrooms were the best we've ever had. They were crispy and flavorful, but huge and juicy, definitely a must try and you have to dip it in the pizza sauce they give, but have a plate nearby or be prepared to eat it in one bite!! Next we tried the chicken and HOLY. CRAP.!!! It was, I think, the best fried chicken we have ever had. The breading was crispy, thin and beyond flavorful. The chicken was very juicy and not dried out at all!! I ate it plain, it was so good. My fiancé tried it with their Spicy Garlic Ranch and loved it!! Next I started on my Pizza Bianca while my fiancé ate his jalapeño poppers. I'm not a spicy person so I can't speak on them but he said they were authentic jalapeño poppers and would most definitely get them again (he hates the ones with cream cheese and these had cheddar only). My pizza was good, I felt like it needed something else but overall it was good. My fiancé then tried the Hot Honey Pie and he said it was very good, but we both agreed that for us, simplicity is best. We are going to get everything exactly the same next time, except we will get a simple half cheese and half pepperoni pizza. Their simple pizza is very very good and while their speciality pizzas we got were good too, we like the simple pizza. Although I definitely want to try their Pierogi Pizza, as I have heard very good things. If you haven't tried Dante's, why haven't you??!! It's SO good that even if we weren't in the mood for pizza, we'd get just their chicken!! The lady that helped us was very nice and even made it a point to put all the sauces we ordered into a separate container, which was very nice!! Overall, we loved it and can't wait to come back!! Warning ! Ordered on Tuesday , drove 10 miles from Columbia Station. Got home and the pizza was burnt. Called Dante's and they said I had to talk to John (owner), but he wouldn't be there till Friday. Called Friday and was told they were busy (had me a leave a number) , and John would call me back... He NEVER did. Why would anyone visit this place? Every reputable pizza place has someone available to fix a mistake ( it happens), and it gets corrected the same day. I ordered two different kind of pizza tonight first was a jumbo size 12 slices pepperoni supposed to been extra sauce ! Unfortunately I'm not see any of that! I love the roni cups that's a nice touch ! If you like your pizza sauce with a little spice then this is the place for you what sauce they did put I my first pizza was spice at least lo me! Next pizza was a half sheet just plain cheese not anything to write home about maybe because it was near end of the night but could tell they stretched the dough in some spots pretty thin to be able to make this pizza! A classic West Park Cleveland pizza place been going here since I was a young lad many many years ago. It always is a real treat to get a Dante Pizza to take home. There a thin crust and sauce are a real treat in their meats are very good. one of the other things is the pizza here is very reasonable in price. they are primarily a takeout place but they have a couple of tables there so you can eat in. They also have very delicious sandwiches, if you're in the area I would recommend Dante's for your pizza fix. Enjoyed the prolly cheese steak a soft crust with a light white garlic sauce that was smothered in cheese and loaded up with ribeye steak. Just ordered again. it was like someone dumped way too much msg, or baking soda, or fish sauce, or vegemite into the dough. Cloyingly salty with subtle notes of artificiality, it seems as if the creators of this pie had a complete disregard for the normal human palate, given the sour, yet almost tasteless chemical afterburn that was lodged in my throat for hours. Placed a large order to feed my moving crew (I just moved to the WestPark neighborhood) and had a great experience. I called a few days ahead and the girl I spoke with was helpful, patient and knowledgeable. The food arrived hot and exactly on time by a very friendly delivery guy. He welcomed me to the neighborhood and I thought that was kind. My family and friends really enjoyed the food- the wings were large and meaty, cooked perfectly. We tried the mild, BBQ, and garlic butter parmesan sauces. I loved the pizza- salty pepperoni, generous crumbles of sausage, perfect crispy crust and the right amount of sauce. A few people said it was a little greasy for them, but I blot my pizza anyway... I didn't think it was bad at all. My favorite part was the sandwich. The Dante special is a 15" Italian sub with this amazing pepper spread on it. It was so delicious. There are a lot of pizza options in WestPark and while I'm game to try them all, I will definitely be ordering again from Dante's! read more

Have been going there for years but last night was the worst experience! It was very crowded Friday night and was told at least a 30 minute wait unless we wanted to sit and eat at the bar. We sat at the bar and after 15 minutes finally ordered drinks, another 15 minutes and we placed our food order. After and another 30 to 45 minutes everyone around us who had come in after us were already served we asked Ryan the bartender/co-manager where our pizza was. He snapped that he didn't make the pizza and it would come out when it was ready! We asked for our check and to forget the order and asked for the last 2 drinks that were just served to be taken off the check. He at first stated no way but as I stated that we were about to have a problem he removed them from our check. We did speak with the supposed other co-manager about the situation which she apologized but we thought the owners should know how there are being represented at their restaurant and investment. After many years of patronizing Dante's we will never go back and let everyone we know to not patronize! read more
