What a quaint little joint. They have an extensive menu and mostly for just under 10$. I have posted a picture of the menu to this site. They have 12 beers on tap with a great selection of craft draught beers. They also have also have blue moon colors and bud light on tap to name a few. I had the fried stuffed pickles. A first for me. It was surprisingly good. The side sauce was a zesty semi spicy tasting treat. I got the turkey BLT and it did not disappoint. Shaved turkey and home made chips hit the spot. I wish I could find places like this more often seeing as that I am in a sudden state every night. I will definitely come back. I did Come for lunch at noon, atmosphere was great. The renovated Boone's is quite impressive on the inside. Atmosphere is a 5/5. I also love how close it is from my house. It's nice to see them trying to roll out a lunch & dinner service. The appetizers that I've had are great - the sweet potato fries & onion rings. The other menu items vary in the quality, but nothing is terribly done. Their buns come branded with an intricate "B," which is a nice touch. It's above average pub food, maybe a touch below the likes of the Corner or Brickhouse. The burgers are good, and their take on a Cuban "Old San Juan," is actually one of the better Cubans I've had in awhile. It's not usually a place we go when we want to have a meal, but it's great for a group of friends that are having drinks that want the option of decent food. The beer selection is pretty good, and the main reason I continue to return. They do half-off craft beers & imports on Sundays, and that's the day you're most likely to find me in there. $2.50 for a pint of Stone IPA is a steal. I also appreciate that a great brewery like Stone is available on tap in town. There have been issues with the service, such as inattentiveness or lack of staff, but it's nothing horrible. The bartenders are usually great, quick to serve you even on a busier night. If they continue to work on the little things, maybe try and improve the quality of the food and get down procedures for everything, this place has a bright future. I recommend. read more

I absolutely LOVE Boon's Saloon! They have the best beer garden with romantic outside lighting and seating in the spring and summer. The food is in a league of its own. I would recommend anything on the menu but my top favorites are the bacon and blue chips, pulled pork sandwich, and the fish and chips. The wait staff is always friendly and prompt. We walked in super excited and very hungry, we called ahead to make sure seats were available, when we arrived we we're gestured a few spots in the corner, we sat for 15 mins without even being greeted even though every waitress made eye contact with us. Been here twice. Brunch was very good and so was service first couple of times. Went today we had to bus our own table, move chairs ourselves to accommodate our group, get our own menus, service ware, and seat ourselves. Then we noticed no one around us was being served.... Waited for several minutes..... no server came. People from out of town w us.....kinda embarrassing . Visited for a late dinner. The level of service was average, nothing wrong. I ordered the French Dip with house chips, both were sub-par. The beef was chopped into small pieces which were overcooked. The FRENCH Dip was not served on French bread, but rather a soft, unappetizing, chewy roll that likely came from Cisco. As for the house chips, some were crunchy, but at least half were soft. Love Boones! Breakfast or lunch are both great. This weekend I had biscuits and gravy for breakfast. The gravy is amazing. Its not overpowered with sausage, just enough. The tots are so good also. Only down side, occasionally the service is not top notch...not the waitresses, but the hostess could do a little better. When we walked in there were two gals standing there talking and did not acknowledge us at all and we were literally a foot from them. So we sat ourselves. Our waitress was great though. read more

Be careful when ordering happy hour drinks at the bar. Order from a waitress! Went to boone's for Happy Hour Holiday party. I ordered a drink and a shot and the bartender charged me $12.50, I questioned it cause it suppose to be happy hour 1/2 price. She goes well that is how the computer rang it up. Not wanting to argue I let it go. Come to find out I was right and over charged but the bartender just close out so I had to contact them tomorrow. On their site they have a contact us so I did that night and explain how I was over charged. To help others in future and to get money back, but no response. So be careful! read more

I'll start off saying I love this place. Never had a problem until today. Went in knowing it would be a wait, Sunday brunch was just about ending. A different server got our drinks, when ours finally showed up we ordered another round. Waited 10 mins for bottled beer while she sat in the back room on her phone. I really like this place. Whether it's been for drinks only, appetizers, or lunch, I've been pleasantly surprised. Beer list is solid; Stone, Deschutes, and other tasty microbrews. Got there at 12:40 for lunch , around 1:15 i asked the waitress if she could find out where our food was and box it up cause some people still work. Shocker I know. After a brief apology she was able to round up our lunch and send us on our way. After returning to work and preparing to see how good/bad my philly steak was I was not all surprised to find that there was in fact not a philly in there. I've had hit and miss experiences with Boones. Sometimes I have a phenomenal experience. Their menu is great, so that's never an issue. But lunch gets packed and it's seat yourself, so it took about 20 minutes for a server to come find us, and it was too busy to go find one ourselves. Just getting refills on water was a hassle, and because we were on lunch we had to rush out and barely got to eat. read more

This place is a pretty solid option for downtown. We find ourselves there once a week on average. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. My wife is all about the black bean burger, which can be a rare quality find in Springfield. Although I'm sure not organic, the beef, chicken and bacon all taste very natural and high quality. The pub chips also are some of the best in town. Excellent choice of beers, as well... from rarely carried domestics to high quality crafts, they have it all. This also is an excellent place to catch a game, with plenty of high quality TVs. Possible negatives: Service can be a little lacking a times, depending on how busy they are. Seems like there's always a new server or bartender just learning the ropes... Also, the music can be obnoxiously loud at times for dinner hours. Overall, one of the best places in Springfield for my money. read more

The food at Boones is generally really good and the service is good as well. They are a bit pricy and some of the dishes are hit or miss. You can go in one day and get a horseshoe that is near amazing and then go in the next and get the same shoe that is chewy and soggy and plain sub par. The atmosphere is awesome, the food is mediocre. We got a French Dip, Boones Hamburger, wings and Buffalo Chicken salad. The buns were really thick on both sandwiches, a lot of bread. The wings and salad were good. Unfortunately, our waitress didn't know that the kitchen had whole lettuce, not shredded, or I would have gotten a lettuce wrapped burger instead of a salad. I went there twice actually during my one day stay in Springfield. At first, I went there for breakfast - had a nice (meat lovers) omelette with toast and amazing tots plus coffee. Brilliant way to start my day! Then, I was thinking about exploring some other places, but I was short on time and didn't want to risk disappointment, so I came back for dinner. Had a great Gun Slinger burger, refreshing beer and a nice chat with one of the charming waitresses. Service was great and friendly, menu was varied, food was fresh, tasty and ready rather quickly. Bloody Mary bar was good, tasty and tons of fixins. We showed up a little before noon, 11:50somthing, and sat waiting for the server for a good 5-7 minutes. Watched several people next to us get served breakfast, then asked for a breakfast menu. They said they stopped serving breakfast at noon, even though we showed up before noon and would have technically been able to order if we were attended to in a timely manner. They said they would ask the kitchen if they would still do it anyway. Came back a good 10 minutes later saying the kitchen had put away all the breakfast stuff and they refuse to make any more and are really mean about it (the server said referring to the kitchen staff, the servers themselves were friendly, although slow, which could have been why we missed the cutoff time). Ordered lunch instead and was even more disappointed that we missed breakfast... The burger was overcooked and greasy beyond belief, the homemade chips were more soggy than crispy, the turkey blt bread was as greasy as the burger, and we felt gross afterwards for eating it. Torn because the bloody was good and breakfast looked decent, but the regular food and overall experience was pretty terrible. 2 stars. read more

While the place was packed on a weeknight, it was pretty empty on Saturday night. It doesn't make much since to me, since Boone's is centrally-located, has a beer garden, and has good prices and quick service. I guess if you're looking to chill till 1 on a Saturday, you can go here. read more

We were not greeted or acknowledged by anyone as we waited next to the "wait to be seated" sign. The restaurant was incredibly loud. Service was very slow and lacked any smiles. LONG wait for sandwich which did not come as ordered. Overall very unpleasant experience. It seems management should listen to the common complaints of lack of service and long waits for food, and FIX IT. read more

Boone's is one of my favorite spots to visit in Springfield. amazing happy hour specials probably the best in town, great food and their breakfast is amazing! Went for the Bloody Mary bar on Sunday oct 1st, which i had been to before and had a great experience, but not this time. Sat out in the beer garden. The server in the beer garden would not even make eye contact with us so we had to go inside to get drinks from the bar tender. You would have thought we were being the biggest inconvenience ever to that bar tender. She was completely rude to us, slammed our drinks on the bar like she was MAD at us for ordering. We are a group of people who have been servers all our lives. Very polite and tip well. I felt bad for not tipping the bartender well(I did still tip her) but she was completely rude to us! We were even warned by another patron that the bartender was going to be that way. Rude! The Bloody Mary mix ran out at 3 when the Bloody Mary bar is supposed to go till 4 and the bartender refused to make any more. My group finished our drinks and went to Obed and Isaacs where staff were nice and wanted to wait on us and we felt welcomed. read more

Very good food, and the service is pretty good too. The black bean burger is very tasty - I often defeat the purpose of eating "healthy" and get it on a horseshoe. I only work a couple of blocks away, and can usually get in and out in half an hour. If the General Assembly is in session, this can be a difficult table at lunch. But if the GA is out of town, you should get good service and good food. read more
