    Great original horseshoe!!

Every bar/restaurant should be this nice - dark wood, full bar, extensive food menu, screens for sports, great music playing.' Had their famous original horseshoe - burger on one slice of Texas toast, smothered in a wonderful cheese sauce. Customizable - your choice of proteins (chicken, pork, impossible burger, etc) and cheese sauces. The original was perfect - with no added sodium as I requested. Worth your time if you're traveling thru - wish I lived closer, as I would be a regular!!

came to the area on the way to St. Louis from Peoria for our little weekend roadtrip. We were between here and another place because we wanted to try the city famous "horseshoe". We got the burger horseshoe with waffle fries and the queso on top of Texas toast. Each item was good on their own, but didn't add much to each other. We still enjoyed it though! We also got a Cobb salad which was probably the best salad we've had! The chicken was crunchy and it had the perfect balsamic dressing paired with it! We got a few rounds of the mimosas because they were really good but very strong which we loved. The waitress was very nice! Street parking! Old pub vibes

Haven't been back to Boone's since it was Boone's Saloon a few years ago, and I understand it's under new management. It was good back then, and thankfully, it's still pretty good. We were in town for a swim meet and stopped by on a beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon for lunch. There were 12 of us in our party, and we were seated out on the back patio. It looks like the new owners have given Boone's a bit of a facelift without losing the cool neighborhood pub vibe it always had. The menu seems to not have changed a whole lot either, which is also good. BYO Burgers, BYO Mac and Cheese, Horseshoes, Street Tacos and some nice salads... they've got a little something for everyone. Also, we were traveling with children, and although Boone's is definitely a corner bar, they welcomed our kiddos with no issues. Our server was fantastic. We arrived with 12 people with no warning, and she couldn't have been more pleasant. She was super accommodating and even split the bill three ways with no issues. The back patio is partially shaded and features a great view of the state capitol. I built my own burger and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked to medium rare and definitely a hand packed patty. They had some great sauces and lots of options for toppings. I didn't get chance to snap a picture before I ate 1/2 of it. A few folks at our table had the street tacos, and they were also really good. Others decided to build your on Mac and cheese, and again, they said it was great. A nice place to spend an afternoon on a beautiful sunny day. Well done Boone's.

Had lunch here today. Probably would not come back here to eat. The service was great, fast and friendly. The food on the other hand could really use some love. My daughter got chicken strips and fries. The chicken was almost burnt when it was delivered. Should not have been served. The "grilled chicken" on the salad was boiled flavorless chicken. The homemade croutons are nothing more than white bread. Some seasonings go along way on food. $9 for a bloody mary with very warm toppings is a huge disappointment. Throw the garnishes on some ice or something. Limp warm celery is not a garnish and nobody wants warm cheese. If you want underwhelming food with zero flavor this is your place.

Very cool bar and grill. We sat outside on the patio for Saturday brunch and there is a cool view of the capitol building. Our server was efficient. The brunch items were basic but good and priced fairly. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for brunch in Springfield. The Boone's brew wasn't my favorite but definitely worth a try.

Came into Boone's to eat on Saturday morning after a Bachelorette party this weekend, with my friends. Service was quick! We were seated quickly and we got our much needed food and drinks promptly. Friendly staff, clean tables and comfortable dining space. Pancakes were nice and fluffy and the waffle fry/gravy combo satiated my hunger. Coffee, pancakes and the fries plus a coke, all for the great price of $13. I believe our server's name was Ashley. Thanks for taking care of us!

Tasty looking bread pudding but I didn't have a chance to try it.

The bartenders were fantastic and the atmosphere there is exactly what I want out of an Irish pub. I wish I'd taken pictures, but I got carried away with having such a good time that we forgot. We also ended up finishing a bottle of Jameson by paying for four shots, and got to sign it! (That's a tradition --- finish a Jameson bottle, sign it, and they put it on the wall). I'm very honored to have my name inside a Springfield institution. My wife used to live in Springfield, and this is one of her favorite spots. So we will definitely be back!

Clyde didnt make a sounds the entire time. Multiple people came up to me saying how good of a boy he was being. He was minding his business. This couple with 2 corgis comes in, same people from buzz bomb, and obviously my dog is interested as is theirs. Their dog barked first*****, so mine barked after, duh. So a bartender came up to us (group of 10-12) and said if my dog barked again, we needed to leave. I asked another bartender why because the other couples dog barked first and his response was "well they come in weekly" ahhhh sooo it's okay since they patron there often and we don't as much. Although, their dog started it everytime?? So I was saying goodbye to my family and ANOTHER bartender came up saying we had to leave and don't come back. TRUST!!! We won't!! AFTER clyde and I left, the bartender told my brother in law that he told us to leave 3x which literally did not happen!! He told me the one time and we left. So please!! Roll the footage on that one I would love to see it. The bartender tried fighting my brother in laws dad after nasty comments were made about my niece.

They host bands, but we were just there for lunch on a rainy day! I had the chicken salad which was very good and liked the fact it didn't have raw onion like a lot of places have as I can't do raw onion. I asked for it in a wrap instead of the croissant that it normally comes on and they accommodated my request. I went with the home made chips, which were different than most have. They were really good and I shared them with others. Two of our Grandson's had pizza which they liked and another Grandson had the pulled pork nacho's with his Grandpa. Our daughter had the protein bowl which she enjoyed as well. I was sitting at the other end, so not sure what anyone else had. We will be back again!

The in house menu does not match the online menu, but we both enjoyed our sushi rolls. So you walk in and upon approaching you can't miss the beer garden. If it wasn't so windy that day it would have been a perfect dine outside situation. But because of the wind we got a booth inside. In the middle of the floor is bar height tables a chairs, booths along one side of the room. The booths are only on one side because the other side is a beer wall. That's right, I said a beer wall. A wall full of taps. You get a swipe card and it charges your swipe card by the ounce. I don't drink beer but my friend appeared to be really happy with the selection. Because she couldn't pick just one, she made herself a flight. That's right, you can make your own beer flight from the beer wall. So for you beer drinkers I imagine this west side establishment is a hidden gem. I'd definitely come here again, with spouses and adult children in tow. There was fun food, good drinks and some entertainment. And not just karaoke either. We played name that tune. There was a prize at the end but we didn't stay long enough to see the winner. Well, we also didn't play competitively enough to be the winner either. But we had a great time and for a fair price.
