    Drunken noodle with chicken

Boonton Thai is always our go-to when we want good Thai food but aren't looking for a fancy sit down restaurant. Their drunken noodle and basil fried rice are the two I always get, they're very consistent with their plates so you'll always get the same rich flavor. Usually we'll pay around $14-$15 dollars for each entree which is a good price for the area and the quality of the food. Their crab rangoons are also good but they did the raise the price of those so we haven't gotten them in a while. They're always very kind to us and the service is very quick when placing our order - they take around 12-15 minutes to have it ready. I really recommend this place if you're looking for a good takeout place!

We really wanted to like this place. The spot is cozy and our server was super nice but the food though fell short of expectations. We ordered a couple of entrees from the dinner menu. Overall both my and and wife's portion was way too salty. My wife entrees had an acquired taste plus majority of it was just beans but very minimal protein

    Coconut milk soup. Medium spicy.

It's never going to be sweet at Boonton Thai and for good reason. Sweet is not authentic It is the finest Thai food in NJ. Period. Not candy. But real terroir driven momma cooking with love.

This place was amazing! I came a couple weeks ago with my husband, our friend and his son. It's a hole in the wall for sure. It's a very small restaurant so I recommend you plan to get there early if you want to be seated right away. I ordered the drunken noodles and my husband ordered their mango curry. First off I love, love coconut milk currys and this place is my new favorite. I tried my husband's curry and I could not stop eating it. He ordered it with a spice level of hot because we love spicy and it was the perfect level of spicy. My drunken noodles were pretty good too but once I had the curry I kind of forgot about it. My husband enjoyed my drunken noodles as well so he wasn't upset at all. I always enjoy a Thai tea along with my Thai food so I had to have it and it was pretty delicious as well. I have been craving this spot for a while again and it has barely been two weeks. So I'll definitely be going back soon. They are very affordable which is a huge plus because their food is just delicious. They are BYOB so if you want to have some alcohol your more than welcome to bring it. Also they do carry outs so if your not wanting to wait or want to do something more private then order ahead. Overall I recommend anyone to try it and go back for more. I'm excited to try more of their Currys.

Came by for dinner. Small place with not much seating. First thing I noticed is how unbearably hot it is in this shop. The have several ceiling fans and small oscillating fans spread out but it is little help. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken. A decent portion and was tasty but nothing outrageously good about it. I would give the Pad Thai three stars but it was so hot I could finish my meal and got the rest to go. I can't imagine if you ordered something spicy! So I gave one star for the room because it is so uncomfortable I had to leave. I would go back in the Winter and try another dish.

Was craving thai, but didn't want to drive too far. Thankfully, Boonton Thai was a 5 min drive up the road. Ordered the Boonton Thai Mussels, Shrimp Tom Kha, and a Chicken & Shrimp Massaman Curry. The mussels were complimented by a broth flavored with thai basil. The Tom Kha had a rich coconut broth, which enhanced the shrimp's natural taste. The Massaman was spicy and delicious. A rich curry which was exactly what craved. If you're in the area, be sure to swing by.

I love their food. The ambience is not fancy, just small family Main Street restaurant that serves real nice food. Solid choice.

Boonton Thai got our order wrong, and they also did not give me rice with the curry. This place has gone down hill.

With that in mind I want to be careful how I review the food. The place is nice and quiet, including the servers. The menu is rather expansive like a diner, and it can be a bit confusing because it sometimes says "veggie beef" (or chicken, pork) and sometimes just says "beef" and you have to interpret the missing word "veggie". Since I didn't want any of that, I was able to pick out what I wanted quickly, but my friend took awhile. I liked the spring rolls. Liked, not loved - I've had better; the interior was bland here. And the sauce wasn't announced, but a nice bonus for dipping. The vegetable fried rice, I don't know. The sauce was a bit gluey, instead of making the rice a bit crunchy like fried rice ought to be. The veggies were not done enough so they weren't crunchy but also weren't soft. The broccoli should have been chopped into smaller pieces, but also, it should have been mushrooms like the menu said. I was not pleased with the unannounced substitution - a five star restaurant would be open about that. (I was also expecting baby corn, but the menu did say "corn" when I checked back, so that's on me.) I'd love to round up to 4 instead of down to 3, but in the end, if my friend invites me back next time she's in the area, I'd pass and suggest a different spot. I know it's not easy to craft a vegetarian restaurant and I respect what they've been able to do here, but I think they can do better without introducing meat products. Especially on matching the menu with what you're given.

The exterior architecture is stunningly authentic, channeling a traditional aesthetic complete with a beautiful outdoor fish pond (no, you cannot order them for dinner, though don't quote me on that because I didn't actually ask). Upon stepping inside, you are greeted by an inviting, ornately decorated space. It feels a bit vintage and dated in the best way possible, offering a unique character that modern, cookie-cutter spots just can't replicate. We were seated promptly at a table adorned with actual fresh-cut flowers--a beautiful detail that immediately separates this venue from places utilizing tacky plastic alternatives. The service here is absolutely impeccable. The server, the manager, and the support staff operate as a highly attentive, deeply friendly team. We began with appetizers: a simple vegetable roll for my girlfriend which she declared was absolutely amazing, and the boneless spare ribs for me. While boneless ribs are an absolute staple on any Chinese takeout menu, I have never had a local version execution this elite; they were perfectly lean, deeply flavorful, and entirely free of the typical fat pockets you usually find elsewhere. For the main course, my girlfriend (who doesn't eat meat) ordered the tofu and mixed vegetables blanketed in a rich brown sauce with a side of brown rice. She rated it as one of the best variations she has ever encountered, noting that the kitchen's flavor balance was so dialed-in that it required zero corrections from additional soy sauce, salt, or pepper. I opted for the General Tso's Triple Fragrance, featuring a massive, premium protein trifecta of chicken, beef, and shrimp tossed with fresh vegetables and brown rice. It was extraordinary. Hunan Taste simply does not belong in the same conversation as your standard neighborhood joint; it operates entirely in a class of its own. We will absolutely be back, and it definitely won't take another five years.

First I'd like to say how friendly everyone was from the moment you walk through the door. I'm still shocked at how quick the service was. They were on it. As a vegetarian I'm aware I may eat boring things but I still like them to taste good. I got the mixed veggies in brown sauce. It was flavored so well it needed nothing. I also got a spring roll which was great. My boyfriend started with the boneless ribs which he said were the best he has had. That says a lot since he is picky. He also said the same about his General Tso's Triple Fragrance . Nice sized portions as well. You will leave satisfied The food, service and ambiance lived up to the recommendations.

So don't come here for ramen; come for an incredibly tasty, inexpensive sushi experience. I had an amazing roll, and let me tell you, the presentation is stunning.
