Ordered: Lunch Special - Chicken Kabob (~$9): one skewer of marinated grilled cubes of chicken breast served with saffron basmati rice and garden salad Lunch Special - Koobideh Kabob (~$9): One skewer of mixed ground beef & lamb served with saffron basmati rice and garden salad Diet Coke can (~$2) Aya's take: Hear me out, Rayhoon has the best lunch special deal in the entire area. I was so impressed! Lunch Special runs M-F from 11am-2pm. The portion is solid for the cost and the flavors are unbelievable. Both Kabobs were moist, buttery, and nicely charred. The Saffron Basmati Rice was addictive and the Garden Salad gave the dish a nice, fresh element to it. Since we dined in, we also got fresh bread with their white sauce which is a must! The white sauce tastes even better with the Kabobs so I highly recommend. I'll be back!

I'm so sad to write this, because we were really excited to try this place. The restaurant is at the end of a strip mall, but it is pleasant enough inside. The host/waiter was welcoming. The three of us ordered Hummus, Baghali Polo, Beef Soltani, Ghormeh Sabzi, and Halim. The hummus came with a very nice bread. However, the hummus itself was just ok. It seemed very under seasoned. Like you just puréed chickpeas and didn't add anything else. The Baghali Polo was not great. I love dill, so that wasn't the problem. All I know is that I didn't want seconds. The Beef Soltani was fine. The Koobideh was tasty, but the tenderloin was lacking in flavor and was tough. The saffron rice that came with it was good, but the grilled tomato was terrible. It was a whole plum tomato that must have spent thirty seconds on the grill. The Ghormeh Sabzi was just ok (are you sensing a trend). There were only four small chunks of lamb, which were tasty. But the sauce just didn't do it for us. Basically, I was just eating it because it was there. The Halim was good, it just wasn't what we were expecting but that is our own ignorance. I expected it to be more savory with bigger pieces of meat. This was the favorite dish of the other two diners. I also had home made iced tea which was not good. It was really cloudy and had an off putting taste. The best item was the homemade saffron ice cream. This was excellent. Great flavor and texture. Unfortunately, the rice pudding was terrible. I have had Persian cuisine before and have really enjoyed it. I have even cooked some dishes from this region. I have dried Iranian limes in my pantry. This restaurant just left us cold.

Rayhoon Persian Kabob House is a small restaurant. The dining area is long and narrow with an outside eating area. As I was seated I could see a women in the adjacent room cooking. The host, a man, also serves as the waiter. Despite the lack of help, the food came out in a short period of time. I ordered the Chenjeh Kabob ($11.95), I love Near Eastern flavors and my meal was very tasty and cooked exceptionally well. The dish came with Saffron Basmati rice, a fresh garden salad, a whole grilled tomato and noon barberi bread served with butter. White sauce enriched the two large skewers of lamb kabobs. Everything came out in a timely manner and hot. The only complaint would be with the tea I ordered ($2.75). It simple was not flavorable enough for me. They have lunch specials from Monday till Friday (11am-3pm). A large parking area makes it convenient to get in and out.

Small place at the end of a strip mall that is nicely decorated inside. We had Kashk as an appetizer and Koobideh Kabob plates for lunch. The Kashk was warm and flavorful served with a delicious warm crunchy bread. The Koobideh on our lunch plates was flavorful, succulent and juicy. Maybe the best I've had and not all dry like many other restaurants. It was served with a generous portion of tasty rice and a generous fresh salad with dressing on the side and a grilled half tomato piping hot.

This place has great food consistently. It's full of flavor and fresh. The service is friendly and fast. The ambiance is nice in the restaurant with great Persian music.

Very friendly staff, good food, nice atmosphere. They have a very good menu with plenty of options. I would definitely recommend Rayhoons if you enjoy this type of food. I plan on going back to try more on the menu.

The food is worth trying and I am a fan already. It's not a big place , but a cosy one with amazing people to welcome you and serve the best food. As you get in , you get seated and we started ordering from the menu. I ordered some stuffed grape leaves, garlic butter shrimp, Adana kabab. Fish mix grill , fries, kazandibi and Turkish coffee. The bread was complementary. The grape leaves was something I wanted to try since forever and it turned out to be an amazing treat. The garlic butter shrimp was perfect for my Indian taste buds, we also loved the Adana kabab with came with this taziki sauce and some rice, the fish mixed grill which came with sauce too, was a bit dry and less on salt and pepper. The dessert and the coffee gave me the kick I needed. Well over all it was a good experience and I would come back again!

They do post and update the website which is super helpful. We ordered and shared the following: Samosas Bread basket with a bit of all the Naan Malal Kofta Tangdi Kebaba-grilled to perfection (takes about 1/2 an hour since it's freshly made) Butter chicken Chicken Tikki Masala The sauces were delightful over their rice and of course to dip the Naan! Each one was tastier than the other and we brought home leftovers for tomorrow. This is a super busy place, lots of to go orders and people eating in. If the weather permits, you can even sit outside. Inside is thoroughly air conditioned and well ventilated. I dare say my kids rated this some of the best Indian food they have ever had.

Came on a Sunday night for dinner. The menu is a QR code that directs you online and requires you…read moreto view it from your phone. Unfortunately, it's extremely clunky and not very user friendly (see photos). Because there are so many items on the menu and they are grouped separately, you have to constantly click, then go back, then click again, and repeat. One pros to this is some of the items have photos and descriptions, although some do not have photos or any description or the writing is cutoff. Finally we were able to get a physical menu which was the menu they use as flyers to handout. It was much easier to navigate but the in house prices were more expensive by $2-$4 in some cases. I asked the waiter for his recommendation and he said the HBK spl Chicken Biriyani is by far the most popular. One thing to note, there is no description of what exactly it was. In all, we ordered garlic naan, chef special cheese naan, butter chicken, HBK spl Chicken Biriyani, and Malabar kothu paratha. They brought everything to the table at once except the biriyani came much later. I didn't want anyone to wait so told them to start. They may have assumed we were all sharing so that may be why it came at different times. Overall, the food was ok. Nothing too special. The HBK special is boneless pan fried chicken pieces and also bone-in chicken pieces. There was quite a bit of biriyani and kothu, the butter chicken seemed like not too many pieces of meat. Service was just ok. No one came to check on us and the server forgot our requests a few times. We finally got up and approached the staff to get what we needed. They weren't too busy in house but there seemed to be a lot of pickup orders. I would come again at a different time and try some other dishes, I don't think we ordered the right things. Will also stop by and try the weekend buffet and update my review accordingly.

We stopped by Kebab & Kurries which I didn't realize was by the Dhaba group. There was no one dining in (but plenty of takeout orders) and we were seated immediately. We tried the Papri Chaat which is basically a Samosa Chaat but using papri (fried flour crackers) instead. The dish had so many bright & refreshing flavors and I loved the contrast of textures from the crispy papri to the creamy yogurt & chutneys. I enjoyed trying it but it definitely doesn't beat samosa chaat! We got the Mixed Grill Platter which was the least "worth it" dish. For ~$32, it had a nice assortment of chicken, beef, and shrimp but some pieces were more tender & juicy than others, and after a while, the flavor profiles all blended together. It's a good source of protein but not too memorable. The Dhaba Butter Chicken was delicious! The chicken didn't taste super fresh to me but the sauce was creamy, buttery, and aromatic. It paired well with the basmati rice and Butter Naan which they make so well. One of the better Naans I've had in North Jersey! Service was quick & friendly. Good try!
