Stopped at this delicious ice cream place right after a hike with my dog and it was 100% worth it! Their ice cream flight is one of the best deals, as you get to try 6 different flavors and you can share it with a couple of friends! I ended up getting the berry shake and it was to die for!!! I was there only a week ago and I already can't wait to be back!!!

Strawberry/cotton candy & pineapple Dole whip

After visiting Purgatory Chasm, this is a great place to stop by for a sweet treat on a hot summer day. All the ice creams here are huge and the prices are fairly reasonable. I got a medium strawberry and cotton candy and a small pineapple Dole whip. The cotton candy doesn't taste artificial, but still sweet with the candy pieces in it, while the strawberry has more a mild flavor in comparison. The Dole whip is very refreshing and I would definitely get it again. We came a few minutes after opening and there was already people ordering and eating ice cream for lunch. There is also a food stand, 18 hold mini golf, and adventure area, so definitely a great place to check out for the day!

A visit to West End Creamery is always such a fun regardless of the season. In addition to ice cream, they have mini golf, a fun play area for kids, and lots of other activities for families. Their corn maze and hayfield rides in the fall are a ton of fun. We love picking out pumpkins to carve. This place truly has it all! In addition to ice cream, they have non-dairy dole whip, Del's lemonade, and fresh kettle corn. This multi-generational farm has such a friendly country vibe. The line is usually long on summer nights, but there are plenty of order windows and staff to help the line move.

This is a great spot to take the kids for ice cream, mini golf and more. They have a cornfield maze in the fall, pumpkins, animals, a large field to sit and have an ice cream or bite to eat, indoor seating for inclement weather and a friendly staff. There is a large parking lot, though this place can get very busy on a hot summer day. It's located on Purgatory Road, just down the street from the well known Purgatory Chasm, a destination for hikers of all ages. They say that they offer 60 flavors of locally sourced ice cream, frozen yogurts, sherbets, etc. The Snack Shack also offers kettle corn, hot dogs, and lemonade. It's still a working farm, they grow corn, hay and pumpkins. The little ones will certainly enjoy an outing here.

Amazing, just amazing. It's a huge place with fields to walk and mini golf. They have alot of seating inside and outside. They make popcorn and other snacks too. The icecream flavors are incredible and everything I have had has been great. There's always a life but the staff is till always friendly and pleasant. Graham cracker station is a favorite. I love their strawberry shortcake special they had once also.

Great place! Super cute with a nice mini-golf and large selection ice cream shop! The lines get super long in nice weather, so be prepared. But there is plenty of seating on the rolling hills overlooking a pond (as well as picnic tables).

I rate this a 4.2. Lots of activities here. I went mini golfing at a pretty late time 8:45pm. They were still open and the course is pretty good. No cool attractions on the holes, but they are pretty challenging. Ice cream after was also very good and stays open pretty late. Lots of parking, finding the area to purchase mini golf is pretty confusing to find. Not sure why they stuffed it in the back. I won mini golf with 2 hole and ones. #ThankYouMrCreamery

My hybrid doesn't have a spare, and the tire inflator that came with the car wouldn't work. I was stuck and wasn't sure what I was going to do. A man named Ryan pulled over and offered to help. He told me he works at Southwick Zoo. He grabbed the jack and tools from his truck, took my tire off, plugged the hole, and put everything back together. When I offered to pay him for his time and kindness, he politely refused. In a world where we often hear about the negative, I think it's important to recognize people who go out of their way to help complete strangers. Ryan's generosity, skill, and willingness to stop and help made a stressful situation so much easier. Southwick Zoo should be proud to have someone like Ryan representing them. Thank you, Ryan, for reminding me that there are still genuinely good people in this world.

I don't remember the entrance being as expensive as it was: $38 per person but as a AAA member we scored a $2 discount each. There were three free shows/ presentations going on that day, which were posted on a big dry erase board: bird show, sloth talk, and an earth discovery creature feature. We made 2 out of 3 of them. My favorite was the bird show where they brought out 6-8 unique birds and each of them did a trick for the crowd, all while the trainers gave us fun facts about them. They had bleacher seating so very comfortable show. At the end, they had one bird who could take your money (voluntarily) and put it into a box with its beak. The money was going towards a good cause, so I donated. The sloth talk was also cool. We got to hear interesting facts about sloths and watch the sloth eat their lunch. They were also doing a Frozen skit / play for the kids when we arrived and it was pretty good and kept the kids there engaged. They have a great selection of animals throughout the zoo including large ones like rhinos, giraffes, tigers, and lions but also smaller ones like pigeons, ravens, parakeets, and prairie dogs. I did not go on / into any, but they have an overhead lift you can ride, zip lining, and a maze (not free). There is also a petting and feeding area with goats. One thing I remember there being was a deer park but I think it was closed off this time which was a bummer. For the most part, the zoo is shaded. They also have gift shops, snacks/drinks, and bathrooms throughout the park. We spent about 2.5 hours there, but might've missed a couple animals. The staff is friendly and helped us find our way around. There is a map and it's pretty good but we were just running low on time to make it to one of the events.

Woah system overload!…read more This place has sooooo much to do. Where do you even begin. Originally when I looked up prices, I was like this is a little pricey, but I still wanted to give the place a try and I'm so glad I did because the price does indeed match with how much they offer here. It was family fun day for me, my partner, my nephew and my sister. And we all equally had a good time there are things to do for all ages. The employees are sweet, even the people that are working the parking. Once you cross the little street (crossing guard there for you). There is a little shop inside that you can buy your apple cider. You can buy decorated pumpkins. They have quite a few things in here. I do recommend grabbing an apple cider. It's so yummy originally I started off with the personal one and then I ended up taking home a jug as well. If you need bracelets, which, if you look up online that can be for all the activities or most of the activities with exclusions of some. Either way I feel like the prices are great, and you can see what you and your family will and will not do especially in regards to the ages of maybe the children that you're bringing. Once we bought the tickets, we bought some food to feed the animals. That was $5.00 a cup. The only issue that I had with this is there are several animals here but the cup that I paid five dollars for it seems as though only the cows would eat that specific food. All the other animals wanted the corn which you needed quarters to buy the corn which came out of a machine and I did indeed bring quarters luckily. That's my only issue there pretty much me and everybody else there noticed that the animals were indeed fed very well so a lot of times they didn't want to eat from you, but they did prefer the corn over the food that we bought in the cups. Now to animals, they have cows, llamas chickens, and the list goes on. I did love the mix and the variety of animals and so did my nephew. He especially loved feeding the cows because they have tubes where you put the food in that leads into the cow bowls that they eat out of he was fascinated by it. Now to activities, this is a real farm with so much land and there's so many things to do everywhere you go, especially for kids. They had swings hanging from trees, but they looked more like hammocks, which was pretty cool. They had a sandbox station where the kids can dig and build. They had huge haystacks that you could climb and take pictures on some of them were small, some of them were huge. They have a huge inflatable pumpkin that's like a bouncy for the kids, but that's age permitting for that one. They also have the tractor-trailer which we all did enjoy and that will bring you to the corn maze and the race track. The racetrack has several different bikes on it for all ages, including the Littles. And they do have two corn mazes. We only did one and we did enjoy it, even my nephew (he's 3). I feel like every employee that I ran into here also was very kind, sincere and genuine answered any questions that I had and directed you very easily to where you needed to go. I just wanted to make this very clear because I noticed this often. They also do have food and a beer garden, but we opted out of those things. They also do have quite a few things where you can use as photo ops, which is really cute. This review would be extremely long if I continued because there's just so much to do I think looking it up would be the best bet but we really did have a good time. It was a lot of fun even though there was kids running around everywhere it's not overstimulating. It's actually so large that everybody gets to have fun and there's so much sharing going on here. And they also have a pumpkin patch area. It's not like the tractor trailer takes you to the pumpkin patch. The pumpkin patch is actually right there when you first enter so we opted out of that but otherwise we absolutely loved it and we will be back but just be mindful your phone does not work here. You do not have any service, but that's beautiful because you can stay in the moment with your family.

Especially because it did not include the hayride, additional corn mazes, feed for the animals, or a pumpkin to take home. With all that being said, my five year did have a really fun time. My son loved climbing the tire and sand mountain. He did that so many times! He liked the corn maze, but pointed out it wasn't a maze and was just a corn path. Would have been better if they had some dead ends and different paths along the way. He also really loved their giant jack-o-lantern bounce thing. We did buy feed for the animals, but I'd say it's definitely not worth it. The animals were all super stuffed so no one really wanted to eat anything! We also did buy the apple cider donuts, which I probably wouldn't' buy again. They were super greasy and didn't taste super fresh. Would have been awesome if they were warm! We didn't get to check out the beer garden this go around, but definitely looked like a great area of the farm. I would go back, but I just wish the whole place was included in the $18pp price tag.
