Merilyn was working the day I went to switch carriers to Boost Mobile, and wow was I lucky! Merilyn was not only friendly and professional, but she was also well informed and extremely competent. She juggled helping us, walk ins, and phone calls. And as if her service wasn't outstanding enough, she assisted us 4 hours later via phone as I had difficulty switching over from my last carrier. After waiting an hour in the store for what should have taken my old carrier 15 minutes to do, and on hold with my carrier for another 3 hours, Merilyn then had to call Boost customer service two more times for me, and ending up waiting on the call until my old carrier finally got their shit together and ported my number successfully. Merilyn went above and beyond, and was always professional and never showed even the slightest irritation with this annoying and ridiculous situation I was in. She was professional with my old carriers customer rep, myself, and Boost customer service. This location is lucky to have her and I am incredibly grateful to her. My experience is specific to the Boost store in Highland Park, CA (at 5031 N. Figueroa). I was visiting LA, and somehow accidentally both locked my phone and activated the accessibility settings. I am so thankful I ended up at this store. Alberto, the owner, worked on my phone close to an hour and was able to restore the correct settings. He was friendly, professional, and obviously had the experience and knowledge to make things right. I learned that this is family-run business that's been serving the Highland Park community for decades and that takes pride in excellent customer service. Been a boost customer over 3 yrs.. I got it cus of thr "unlimited everything" for a flat rate.. well these badtards have been killing my data at 2.5 gigs & I cant go online gps is slow.. searches..etc.. paid for a smart phone that they render useless.. so I come in to pay $15 more for more data capabilities. . #1 I cant understand this girl her speech is slurry.n braces n spit is all you see.. its disgusting. . #2 she should have told me there is no topping off immediately. . Instead it will not take effect till your next pay cycle. So I will do it when I come in.. I. 2 weeks.. till then in carrying around a damn useless "smart phone" im going to looking into changing service providers ASAP Boost is not unlimited. . It does limit you. I don't have boost mobile but I came to activate my brothers phone since it was deactivated. The girls (all of them) are pathetic. No communication amongst one another. One of the girls tried helping with a SIM card she ordered it. Once it arrived they called to pick it up. I went to pick it up and the girl that was working there didn't know where it was. She didn't know what I was talking about. So I called the next day asking for Nadia the girl that helped in the beginning and she said to come in when ever that she left the SIM card visible for anyone who is here. So I went the following day and the MANAGER (fucken rude) Rocio, took no accountability about the SIM card being ordered incorrectly and didn't apologize for wasting my time. Just so unprofessional. First off I wish I could give them no stars because of they're shitty service I received the past couple weeks and today. My husband went in on the 14th to buy a brand new phone he's been a loyal customer of that location for almost 3 yrs. He bought the brand new HTC desire and days after he purchased it the phone started acting up not being able to text messages freezing up so we went in and they reset the phone hoping that would work, and as we're they're the girl tells me that either way they can't can't exchange the phone for me because even tho I was within my 10 day exchange period the phone has a very I mean very little scratch on it and that it couldn't be returned which I immediately flipped because the scratch is sooooo small it's not even noticeable I'll even post a pic of the scratch so u all can see. The days after that the phone starts freezing up my husbamd takes it in again. the same girl that helped us last time which her name is Rocio was trying to sound smart like she knew what she was talking and was being very rude. Of course she didn't want to exchange the phone and said she couldn't even give him the number to the manager. And told him to come back when she's there which is tomorrow. So I called the store and spoke to Rocio and she tells me that she told my husband that the manager would be able to exchange it tomorrow. When that's a lie because she never told my husband the manager would exchange it she was just rude and said sorry come back and talk to her. She's rude and she's a liar and they need to re evaluate what kind of customer service they're employees are giving cause I got attitude from day one and that's not how a business should be ran. I seriously hope the manager is able to help us tomorrow because all this is ridiculous. read more

This store has the worse customer service ever. Went to the store today with my dad to get his phone fixed (his speaker isn't working and he's not being able to download any apps) and one of the girls that works there couldn't help us. Instead she just gave my dad a number to call . Like really!!!!!!!!!!! Doesn't boost mobile care about there customers . We thought that one of the salesman was great. She gave us a magnificent story about how great the deal was. I wanted a phone with a keyboard, so I got an old model with a discount. She told us that if we did not like it, we can return for another phone or return it. Well the phone is an old model, so it did not perform and we returned. We could not talk to her, but her manager, Rocio welcomed us with a horrible attitude. Told us that her employee gave us wrong information, once we got the phone, we got it! That was it! We asked many times to talk to someone above her, but she refused. In the end she gave us a card with her name and told us that she would call us... that was 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately, we ended up paying for her employee's eagerness to sell by giving us wrong information. We are NEVER going back to this store and certainly, do not recommend. read more

They are going to start capping their "unlimited" usage/data to 2.5 GB starting in January

we bought an unlocked i phone 5c from boost in october of 2014 and decided to use boost no contract service plan. 6 months after using boost we are moving to an area that only has spotted service so we need to change to another carrier. when we called boost to get the dsu code (the code needed to unlock your phone to use with another carrier) we were told we have to have boost service for one year before they will release that code. so basically the month to month, no contract phone service is actually a one year contract. be aware of the deceiful adervertising that you do not have a month to month contract but a one year contract. read more
