I left multiple messages and nobody returned my call. On the 27th I drove down to the place and was told they can't find the battery and that he would text the guy I spoke with the first time to find out where it was. He said that since the next day was Thanksgiving to come in the day after to get the battery replaced.  I called on the 29th and was told the tracking for the battery shows delivered but they can't find it.  I told them if they couldn't find it by the 30th I would need my 50% deposit back and I would go someplace else.   Here we are on the 30th and I called and he said he found the battery and I let him know I would be right down. When I arrived he asked me to give him 20 minutes so I went shopping.  I picked up my phone and got home to find the back isn't even fitting back on right. There is a large gap on one side which you can see in the picture. Can't imagine my phone is water resistant anymore. I'm so disappointed and if you take your phone in after reading this all I can say is, you have been warned.

But anyways, I decided to stay and give it a try after he was done replacing the screen. He had told me he has two different type of strains one is cheap and other is premium or whatever. I was down to spend extra money to get the premium, but he said he didn't have it in stock and will take him an hour. Anyone that has a busy schedule and that just needs their phone replaced would have done what I did and just take the cheaper one so I could go get my kids and do what I need to. After three days of having it the screen was already coming off so I decided to call and told him what was going on and immediately got blamed for dropping it or breaking it and couldn't even get a chance to talk because the owner is so rude. After trying to explain over the phone, what was going on with my phone and him being extremely rude and saying that he doesn't do any warranties or anything like that for the phone. And I tried to explain that the phone is not broken and that it just needs to be installed correctly. Then the owner decided to get extremely butt hurt because I criticize this work for being half done and then he got extremely rude anyways flashback to going to the store to get it replaced because I don't have another hundred dollars to pay just because someone doesn't know how to put a replacement phone. I go there and I still get blamed for doing something that I didn't do and owner is very upset that I criticized his half done work after further examination he said that the reason it was coming off is because he didn't install the glue right, even though he admitted to not having a clue right bro, still wants to be mad that I said that his work is half done so after being in his shop, literally screaming at each other because he has no manners and doesn't want to let anyone talk replace it and when I inspect the phone, a lot of glue residue and just a crappy job. I worked with Brian (same name as me) and I assume he's the owner or manager because of how invested and attentive he was. Seems like he really wants to do right by his customers, not just make a quick buck. Repair places can feel like talking to a sketchy mechanic or used car salesman. That is NOT the vibe here. Brian was patient, not pushing anything, and no ulterior agenda. He actually lent me his charger and said to just drop it back off next time I'm driving by! Definitely gonna be my place for any future tech issues.

I called another electronics repair place 1st and was informed 48-72 hours. This is what I expected since it was a Friday morning. However, I did not give up. I called MacMedia and Brian answered. He was incredibly knowledgeable and customer service oriented. I'm in customer service myself so this was a big deal to me. He set a realistic expectation that I can drop it off and he would get right on diagnosing the issue and go from there. I did just that and dropped it off. Fast forward about 45 minutes and Brian called. The bad news was the display itself was broken. I was really hoping it was iOS related and Brian tried to restore it but it was unsuccessful. He even tried a 2nd time but the display was shot. It was now about 3:00 PM and my wife and 12 year old were trying to get on their road trip ASAP. I informed Brian to go ahead and start the repair. He did provide other options and pricing of getting a new/refurbished one since he knew I wanted it done ASAP. I declined to purchase a new one and instead told him to perform the screen repair not excepting it to be ready for their trip. At about 5:30 PM my wife and daughter were in the car leaving the driveway when Brian called again. The iPad repair was already completed! Brian agreed to stay late despite a holiday party so they could pick it up before they left town. Needless to say the customer service exceeded my expectations on all levels. I've since been back to this location as well as the Bell/83rd location and the customer service is amazing. The place I formerly went you'd walk in and typically hear a random voice from the back yell "I'll be with you in a minute" then a rather up professional looking person would help you. MacMedia is night and day different and I'm very grateful I gave them a chance in a long shot impromptu repair. I am very grateful for Brain and everyone I've dealt with at MacMedia.
