I didn't even do anything but look at phones... I just walked in ??? I asked the security why is he speaking to me in this manner. The female associate interjects and raises her voice across the room at me instead of walking over and aloud says "well we spoke when you came in and but you didn't speak!!." I was confused ?? So what is the reason for the security guard asking me instead of you engaging with me directly to help me... ??why didn't you just walk over as you can clearly see I have head phones in... I didn't hear you. She continue to sit there as shown in picture. She never walked over to help me...The other two male AT&T associate just were standing around and the other continues to sit there watching the interaction instead of trying to deescalate by just simply HELPING me. The security guard rudely interjects the conversation and states I'm causing a disturbance due to me speaking up about the unfriendly conduct that they showed me. "So now I'm causing a disturbance by simply walking into your store to look at phones ??! Make it make sense. " She goes on to say something under breath " I don't have time for this " which made no sense because what do you not have time for, to service people ??? you are sitting down asking a security guard to do your job ! I left my job and went to 1318 F ST NW around 3:30 PM today. When I got there, two reps were busy helping customers in the back and a lady who stated she was the store manager was available. When I came in she looked at me and looked down at her phone. I had to go to the top of the steps and say hello for her to acknowledge that I was a customer. I greeted her and explained I was having network issues. She asked for my ID right away and did not ask me any questions about the issues I was having. I asked her if I could verify my account with the account pin. She began to respond noticeably irritated and stated that is not allowed. She followed with the process over the phone is separate in store. I provided her with my ID and she gave it back. I stood in silence staring at her while she stared at her phone for about 5 minutes, with no words explaining what was going on or to set expectations. I asked her why the process was taking a while just for access. She just repeated the same thing" I am waiting to get access to your account", which was very condescending. I had one of the worst customer experiences ever with Asurion. My phone was only a couple of months…read moreold with a small crack on the front screen but was otherwise in perfect working order. I filed a claim under my Asurion insurance and scheduled a repair. The technician took my phone to his van and returned 15 minutes later with the same cracked screen -- but now the display was completely green and glitching. He apologized, gave me a number to call, and assured me they would replace the device. From there, everything became a nightmare. I had to make multiple calls to get the ticket closed, re-explaining my situation every time. Two supervisors were unhelpful -- one even hung up on me. Another told me that "before and after photos" showed the phone was the same, which was impossible. The phone I handed over was fully functional, and the one I got back was unusable with a bigger crack. It felt like they were trying to push me into paying the full $99 replacement deductible by framing this as "additional damage." Only after I escalated multiple times did they agree to replace the phone -- but refused to expedite shipping even though same-day was available, despite me explaining that my work depends on my phone. In my opinion, this process seems designed to frustrate customers and extract more money from them. The entire experience was stressful, time-consuming, and unprofessional. Today is the second day without my phone, meaning I cannot do my work, accept important calls, or communicate effectively -- and I still have not been provided with a tracking number. It is completely unknown when I will receive the replacement phone.
