Completely unprofessional and Horrible manager! I honestly had the worst experience i've ever had with verizon. I have been a loyal customer for over 3 years and this experience was it for me. I have not been able to use my service for 3 days. I have spoken with multiple care team reps, tech coach reps and supervisors over this period. I spoke with a supervisor and they advised me to visit a corporate store to reset my ESIM. I left my job and went to 1318 F ST NW around 3:30 PM today. When I got there, two reps were busy helping customers in the back and a lady who stated she was the store manager was available. When I came in she looked at me and looked down at her phone. I had to go to the top of the steps and say hello for her to acknowledge that I was a customer. I greeted her and explained I was having network issues. She asked for my ID right away and did not ask me any questions about the issues I was having. I asked her if I could verify my account with the account pin. She began to respond noticeably irritated and stated that is not allowed. She followed with the process over the phone is separate in store. I provided her with my ID and she gave it back. I stood in silence staring at her while she stared at her phone for about 5 minutes, with no words explaining what was going on or to set expectations. Finally after 5 minutes, I asked what's the hold up. She responded in a noticeably irritated tone, I am waiting to get access to your account. I asked her why the process was taking a while just for access. She just repeated the same thing" I am waiting to get access to your account", which was very condescending. I am completely disgusted by the experience I've had today. As a 3 year customer and a former employee of a full service verizon retailer, This has never been my experience with a corporate store. I called back after I left to get the "manager's" name. I spoked with the same representative who stated her name is Cathy-ann but she claimed there were no store managers available. However, when I was physically in the store some time before she stated she was the store manager. I am currently comparing rates to switch to AT&T. Be careful with Verizon Sales People. Verizon sales people are scamming people knocking on doors and offering "free" one month trials. They did it to my wife and me. We have them a chance, the technician came in installed the routers etc. and they said we will receive an email at the end of the month asking if we wanted to keep the service. We never got the email. We ended up deciding not to keep the service. After the first month passed since we never got the email we tried to contact the sales person, who never responded. About a week later we got a bill for $120 for the "Free" month and a extra month ahead! We called customer service and they said we "received the wrong promise" and that they will not charge us for the first month but that we had to pay for the month that already started. We are still dealing by the situation we will see if we are manage to resolve this issue. Just be aware. This is either salesmen crap or corporate crap. read more

This is my first time having to go back and update/revise a review I've submitted. Let me say it's not the independent retail store but the company they represent. I took my mother to this store for her 87th birthday to finally upgrade her iPhone and change from one carrier to Verizon since all her home services were through them. It just made sense she had finished paying off the phone from the previous carrier to bundle her cell phone into the internet, cable, and home phone. In addition, it will make it easier for my siblings and me to assist her in paying her bills. I thought everything was done when we entered the store, and I firmly articulated that this was what we wanted to do. So, we left thinking that it was done and that her monthly bill would reflect electronically this new item added to her services with Verizon. This was in November, and in January, my mother called me hysterical that she received a bill of over $800.00 along with a cut-off notice for her cell services and sending her information to a collection agency. I immediately logged on to her account and didn't notice anything unusual. So, I chalked it up to thinking that it was spam. I then went to her house to look at three bills with three account numbers on them. After not getting a favorable response by telephone, I immediately got the bills and went to the store we purchased the cell phone from to find out what happened. I was met by a young lady named "Nimota," who spent over an hour working with me to find out how to rectify this situation so my mother's services could be restored. I am not a Verizon customer; little did I know that their wireless and home services fall under two separate entities. So, in essence, as a customer, you receive TWO separate bills; one for home and one for cell. WHO KNEW; WTH. I will spare you further details of this fiasco. Nevertheless, I wanted to highlight "Nimota" and her incredible patience, poise, professionalism, knowledge of the carrier and who to connect me with. Her gentle spirit and calm personality kept me as we came to a peaceful resolution to this mishap to some degree. Currently I Own a 3G Phone from Verizon and was Asked to Upgrade to 4G before December 1, 2022. I Did Order a New Phone and After it didn't Arrive as Promised. I Called Verizon, and was Transferred to the Fraud Dept. and then was told Phone Had Been Returned. I Asked What Is the Reason and was told " They Couldn't Tell Me That, It Goes Against Company Policy " I've Been a Customer of Verizon for Over 30 Years and this Is the First Time I've Ever Encountered a Problem of this Magnitude. This Is the Poorest Customer Service I've Ever Experienced, being Placed on Hold for Up to 3 Hours or More at a Time, Transferred to Various Departments on Numerous Occasions and Still No Resolution. I have been to this store twice to trade-in phones for upgraded phones. Each time I was told multiple times to do it online. I told them, doing it at a Verizon store gets me a better deal (loyalty credits). They didn't believe me or didn't want to hear it. They kept trying to push me off, saying that I would get the same deal with them, and it'll be faster online. Trust me, I don't want to have to go into a store if I didn't have to either. Anyway, after about 15 minutes of them trying to get me to upgrade my plan and get a Verizon credit card (LOL), I finally convinced them to just run the trade-in/upgrade. I ended up with $550 and $800 respectively in trade-in credits at the store, as opposed to $100 online. One phone was even delivered to me the next day. So all that to say is, if you know what you're doing, don't let the staff there try and stop you. Advocate for yourself because staff seem to not want to work there, though I really can't blame them, times are crappy, especially in retail. read more

The operator is irritated and has no respect for people. The prices that are indicated for new clients are completely different. He yelled and forcibly shoved other packages without giving a chance to think. I found a better Internet company with wonderful service and respectful attitude. I used a verizon gift card to purchase some earbuds. Instead of charging the gift card they charged my bank account. The rep tells me it can't be backed out because the transaction was already closed/shipped. They suggested I return the earbuds, get the credit, and buy them again (WTH). In the box was a return UPS label. Not a prepaid one, as you might expect, but one I would have to pay $14 out of my pocket to correct their mistake. The other option would be take them to the Verizon store (there's only two options in stores despite the reasonable number of stores in the area). Neither stores are close to me. It took 5 reps (and a total of over two hours of time) to figure out this very stupid procedure. I just moved to Verizon three months and how I regret it. Oh, and while I'm talking to the rep about how to correct this he asks me if i want to move cell phone service to Verizon. Is he for real? If you are considering Verizon don't. I was initially helped by a lady named Judy who was nice but clearly didn't understand how to navigate the acquisition of a new business account and phone. After an hour of troubleshooting, the manager (forgot his name) assisted and we immediately made progress... After another 30minutes of troubleshooting they concluded that I was not able to get a new phone on Saturday because the business account customer service office is closed over the weekend.... Verizon as a whole is okay but they seem to continually have an issue with continuity throughout the brands and upholding the standard store to store or call center to call center. I've had the worst experience with this store in particular ....the first to the store I was ignored by at least 3 associates for 10 min until I asked one of them if I could be signed in/acknowledged. Needless to say they were no help and as of luck would have it I had to venture back to the store for my boyfriends phone because I was told the newly released green color was in stock. I get to the store and a rep named AHMAD greeted me and offered assistance wherein I told him I was looking for a particular phone and as advised it wasn't there while still on hold with customer care telling me it's available. Of course I'm disappointed but that quickly turned to disgust when Ahmad informed me with a smug grin that he's just sold the last one. I told him about my experience and to add insult to injury he very rudely, disrespectfully and sarcastically asked me "well were my coworkers supposed to stop helping their customers to service you and I said of course not but they could have at least acknowledged me. After Verizon decided to automate their phone calls (ugh) I decided to go to a store to ask all of the questions I had. I was the first customer in the store on a Monday morning at 9:00 am and Juan, the Solutions Associate, greeted me and was able to help right away. He was patient as I asked all of my questions and explained everything to me very clearly. The store itself​ is really big and clean. The Verizon store on 1314 F st. and its two most capable, knowledgeable and patient employees (Bruce and Thomas) bent over backwards to help port a phone number over to Verizon from my previous carrier AT&T. I got Yelp just so I could write this review. This is how this store works: 1. Walk into the store, a bored employee asks your name, phone number, what you want, etc. 2. At least five employees stare at you but walk past you without helping. 3. The one employee who's supposed to help you is in the back so everyone has to tell her to come out and help you. 4. When she finally comes out, she asks all the same information as the first person. All I wanted was a new phone, but the employee tried to scare me into buying every single accessory. "You're going to use that phone without a case? That makes me nervous..." No, I don't want your overpriced accessories. I'll go buy them from China online thanks. I could go on, but my main complaint is that the employees need to be better organized and have good customer service skills. I had to come here three times before finally getting my phone and every time, there were a handful of employees but I still had to wait at least ten minutes for them to find that one employee who's mysteriously in the back. I came here panicked and distraught that my beloved iPhone stopped charging after I had downloaded iOS7. For sure, it was this new system upgrade that caused the temporary demise of my communication device. Lo and behold, when I came in, I gave my name to the woman and she suggested it might be because my phone was asleep. I knew it wasn't. I knew it stopped charging despite several attempts to charge the phone. Still, she took the phone from me, plugged it in and asked if I had my USB cable with me. Then her manager came and spoke with me and told me my USB cable was not good. It was bent and then he took my crappy cable and gave me the one they had in the store to keep. Yay! read more

**This Verizon store: Since pricing and all of that should be similar at stores, all I can really review is the service here. Just like Yelp! says, this place is A-OK. Nothing outstanding, but nothing too negative to note either. My wait times have been short here, and the staff has been professional, even though they couldn't help me with my issue. Also, the store is very convenient to a metro. I tried to transfer my family plan into my name here, but apparently if your number is out of the District and you're not the primary account holder, you can't do jack to your account. Like renew it. Or buy a phone. I figure this is a National Verizon thing...I had to go back to CA in order to make the changes to the account. Very frustrating, but the guy helping me was really nice and otherwise helpful. **Verizon in general: Wish they had a better smart phone selection as a whole. Verizon gets docked a star for being so expensive! They just lock in the market here because we're all metro-bound. Very good service throughout DC, and the added bonus of strong underground metro coverage. The only dead spots are in some parts of the metro tunnels and stations and in the deep recesses of my federal building. However, that's expected through 5 layers of concrete. Eunice was very helpful in fixing my MiFi which needed a new Sim card and helpfully replaced it and showed me some new items. I also browsed all the new "tools,toys and tablets" and thought about but didn't buy a Samsung $599 camera that is Android connected....still thinking about it. I'm listing this place as not wheelchair accessible despite it being a new building as there is a serious flight of steps from the street down into the store. When I inquired they said there was an entrance via the adjoining door next door which had an elevator that would take you to the entrance at the rear of the store. But there's no sign outside about this and the door to the entranceway with the elevator was, natch, locked, so you'd have to open the door at the top of the stairs and ask them to go unlock it. read more

Verizon Wireless thinks the answer to every phone problem is to buy a new phone. This store is no different. I did a system update on my Blackberry Bold 9930. It was supposed to take two hours but was taking 10+ hours and was only at 25% complete. I was in DC for a conference and luckily this store was around the corner. I got there and signed in, then waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited and FINALLY my name was called. I told them the problem, they look up my account and tell me I'm not eligible for an upgrade. I said "I don't want an upgrade, I want my phone to work." The person helping me asked his fellow associate what he should do [side note: is it just me, or do verizon wireless associates know nothing about technical problems with your phone?]. This guy just looks at me and says "you need to be patient and let the system update." I'm at a conference away from home, I don't have time to be "patient" for a system update that looks like it's going to take two days to complete when it should only take two hours. The associates who helped me in this store were super unhelpful and super rude. read more

I just came back from a weekend trip to Washington, D.C. and unfortunately had to visit a Verizon store during the trip. This Verizon location was the nearest to me, so I choose this location for that reason. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and asked to wait a few moments. It was really only a few moments before Thomas Yeo helped me out. He was absolutely amazing!! I have a lot of trouble understanding the excessive, individual charges of all these "data plans" so Thomas was AWESOME in explaining everything. I spent over a hour in the store, unfortunately, but he was not only kind but he WROTE everything out for me!! I couldnt believe it! He was really kind and went beyond, to provide the best customer service!! Thank you Thomas!! I wish you were in CA so that I could make this my home store! Def. recommend this location! read more

OMG they are the worst and that is after competition from Comcast and Direct TV. All of the following took place within the last week; (1)Took three phone calls to get accurate information about setting up voicemail. Of course, while you are on hold you keep being told that your call is very important; (2) Was sent a new modem that was exactly the same model as the one i already had; (3) the letter that came with the redundant modem said a prepaid mailing label for returning the old one was enclosed. When i went to the UPS store as directed by the letter to return the redundant modem unopened, the UPS guy laughed as he referred to the "mailing label" that had no address, only a bar code. He said that at least 8 other people in my neighborhood had come in with the same problem not-label from Verizon Tonight gritted my teeth and called CS. Rep totally clueless about how to resolve. My other issue was to request that said rep reduce my voicemail rings from 7 to 4. Why i cant be prompted to do that myself i will never know. Rep didnt know how to do that either. i asked for a supervisor. She said he would call me right back. Raise your hand if you think he ever called. I was getting 1 MPS at most internet; they said pay us another $15 and you'll get 3.5 MPS. Of the 15 times I checked, even at 3 am, I only got 1.5 MPS. When I finally stopped paying for it and using housemates wifi they admitted that NOT ALL areas got 3.5 MPS. As of 11/16/16 Verizon no longer will let anyone send out email from their domain name or that of whatever site they may manage. How many hundreds of organizations and thousands of individuals have been negatively impacted by that! So now I have to look for a new ISP, which is how I got to this page. read more

They had confirmed that my DSL modem and phone service would be activated by the end of their business day. Since nothing has been activated and I'm still without internet service, I have come to the conclusion that I have been lied to, hoodwinked, bamboozled and DECEIVED! Horrible customer service. I went there for a few questions about my bill and the guy that helped me almost immediately got defensive when he couldn't actually answer my questions. He then told me it was my choice to stay with Verizon. I eventually had to ask him to print off my bills and I stood there and called the customer service hotline for Verizon to fix my problem while the employees offered no other assistance and talked badly about me within earshot. Don't waste your time, just call the customer service phone number instead. read more

This is by far the worst store and verizon overall is the worst company in the world. I came in this store back in March to inquire about getting a new phone on their Edge program. Store employee helped me out and told me they were giving me a $300 trade in for my iphone towards my new phone and that I wouldn't have a contract on this line any more or that I would have to pay the early termination fee if I closed this line. Fast forward to June, after having nothing but problems with the phone and service I switched to ATT&T. I just received the final bill of $1300 from Verizon. After jumping through several hoops I found out that my iphone I traded in in March "magically" had a crack in it and they never gave me the $300 trade in value and that I also still had contract and I had to pay an early termination fee. So no I am currently on the phone paying $1300 just to get rid of Verizon. STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON AND SPECIALLY THIS STORE!!!! THEY ARE CROOKS AND WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!! read more
