Great food! Definitely a unique experience and well worth it! Staff was fantastic and you can tell the chef loves what he does!

Not what we expected, but in all the best ways. TBH, we met local friends for dinner so didn't do any research. Fun atmosphere with Chef and his presentations, our reservation written in crayon on butcher paper @ the table and a diverse menu. The highlight of it all was our server, Emily. She was fantastic!

We came to Bettendorf to celebrate our anniversary and all the food we ate did not disappoint. Including Duck City Bistro. Parking is street parking, or there is a parking garage that is nearby. From arriving, our server, who was also the one that explained our main entrees at the entrance was very knowledgeable and entertaining. In fact, the whole crew was entertaining, the vibes were amazing from beginning to end. I had an espresso martini which they did not skimp on and made sure I got every oz of that pour and hubby got an old fashion, both were delicious. Hubby got the duck as his entrée and it was cooked to perfection. Very tender, tasty and savory. My NY strip was huge, I was only able to eat a little more than a quarter of it. It was cooked well, had the char taste and rissoto was very savory. We did not have room for dessert, but since it was our anniversary, our server still brought ups a chocolate dipped strawberry. They really made us feel special and even sat us away from crowds for our own little privacy by the window.

Fabulous! Has to be in the top 3 restaurants of my life. Wow! The chef immediately welcomes and tells you the specials for the night in a vaudeville kind of way. Everything sounds amazing. We had the smoked pork chop with Swiss cheese and ham and the veal Marsala, crab cakes and lobster bisque. Yes, yes, and yes. While I have had a better crab cake, it was still fantastic. The lobster bisque was perfect and not sweet but savory. The garlic creamy salad was super garlicky and creamy. The bread was a little more browned and amazing with the roasted garlic to spread on the bread with butter. The pork chop smoked with ham and Swiss cheese was the best I have ever had and there was something magical about the crust on the outside of the pork. My husband loved the stewed apples. The veal Marsala was almost too sweet and yet I loved it. There was plenty of sauce. The mashed potatoes had a slight crust and were creamy and full of flavor. There was no room for dessert but they gave us a chocolate covered strawberry. BRAVO!! The waitress must have been new but I never base my review on the service.

One of the best meals I've had in Iowa! I can't wait to go back today to celebrate my husband's birthday! Go here, you'll be happy you did!

Wow. Fantastic dinner last night. Thursday night. The owner/chef was greeting patrons at the door and going over the nightly specials. Very nice guy. The menu looked amazing. Opted to sit at the bar and so glad we did. Our server/bartender was outstanding. A cute young woman who knew the menu, was very attentive to our needs, and was as personable as could be. Holly is a keeper! Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The sides were delicious too. Washed down with a martini and it made for a perfect evening.

Another knock it out of the park night for Duck City Bistro!!! Our waiter had only been there for 7 months but handled himself like a seasoned veteran!! When we arrived there were plenty of tables which I totally understood. (530 on a Wednesday) By the time we left, it was packed!!! There is a reason why this occurred on a random Wednesday night. Do yourself a favor and see what all the hype is about! You won't be disappointed!!!

It's down across from the river in an older building. There's a good amount of parking and tons of character! We sat outside on a nice night - there were probably 8-10 picnic tables as well as a good amount of seating inside. The beer selection was solid and included a number of nonalcoholic options. The food here is gastropub style stuff and was really good! The Cobb salad was a memorable one with a ton of meat. The kids got Philly cheesesteaks - those were unexpectedly delicious and included homemade cheese whiz. Another kiddo got a chicken bacon ranch flatbread - excellent and reminded delicious out of the fridge the following day! The pizzas looked good too and were (as we found) all available as flatbreads. The service was excellent and despite the busy evening, they got to us quick and took good care of us. We don't often plan to return to out of town spots, but this is one we'll definitely be back to!

It located across from the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds on W. Lotus Street. They have a mixed menu of American and Thai dishes they offer. The Gypsy Highway's vibe is a cross between nostalgic late 70's, early 80's biker bar, live indoor/outdoor music venue, while being a full service restaurant and bar. They also have a small arcade in the back a few what look to be video poker or slot machines by the bar, 3 very large LED displays strategically placed around the bar and a massive projection screen TV on the indoor stage when nobody's playing. Sorry I didn't get to look outside at the wood fenced in area, where the wooden outdoor stage is. There is lots of seating and they even have dance nights, local bands perform regularly, and other events. Like when I went there was Trivia Night. This place has been a long time local scene in the West End of Davenport, IA for decades. Couple of the downsides about the atmosphere is the noise. It's Loud. For off hours and a Trivia Night, but not loud enough that you can't hear the person talking across a large round table ment for a party of 8-10 people. The amount of flashing lights in the place. If you have any issues with flashing lights you might not want to visit. There is not a single sight line place inside that does have some sort of constantly flashing light. Even lights that would have been of at any other venue or palace that host bands at their establishments wouldn't run strong stage color ambient lights on, especially those sitting behind a massive screen. Anyone sitting in the back and looking towards the stage (even though those seats not that many but unlucky) are in for a painful night out, if not there for a band. The food is 50/50 depending on what you get. Presentation wise I would give it 80 to 100%. I was with my family and got to try 4/5 dishes. They I had the Yellow Curry w/ Shrimp. I have to say it was really good. It was sweet and savory the Jasmine rice was delicious with it. My only complaint with the dish was it should have been served in served in a bowl of some kind and w/ some Naan bread to help clean the bowl at the end. Serving on a plate made the dish hard to eat. Next up Chicken Tinders and an order of Onion Rings. This should be avoided at all costs!! They look great, but have absolutely zero flavor and taste. That's hard to do when the batter is supposed to be Bear Batter. Same with the french fries. Next is a Cheese Burger w/ (+) Bacon and Onion Rings instead of the Fries. Well the burger was well made and delicious. The Bacon was thick crisp and 4 slices which was good. The replaced Onion Rings well that part gets worse. The count was a measly 5 and not even large ones at that! Last one I got to try was the blackens grilled fish. It was a fillet of haddock covered with some sort of white gravy served with a few pieces of zucchini and a couple of red potatoes halved. I didn't get to try the veg. The fish I did. By itself it was pretty good, but with the gravy it was not noticeably, not as good to almost being tasteless. The gravy overwhelms the fish and doesn't complement, nor enhance the flavor. The waitress we had was nice and answered our questions promptly. She did check in with us from time to time. Overall she gets a 9/10. Hope y'all like my review and read next time. Sorry no pics this time forgot my phone.
