Attended the Henry Kapono concert at this venue. I have not been here since about 2003. I am a…read morelocal. The vibe of the venue is "nostalgic vintage meets a saloon meets rock & roll". Cool photo ops all around. They had a trivia game scrolling over the bar which is always fun. Lots of lounge seating great for smaller groups to drink and chat. That being said there were some things I didn't anticipate and wasn't prepared for: -not enough accessible parking very busy for a Friday night. When I arrived at 6:45pm valet parking was already full -no AC in the venue- two ceiling fans. It was unbelievably hot inside. -seating at the tables near the stage requires dinner service and there were 10 adults seated at an 8 ft table. Just impossible. The tables were end to end. No space to move. I was seated between two men and our shoulders were touching and everyone is trying to eat dinner. I was having a panic attack so my friend got us moved. -the meal was ok and so were the drinks. We had to purchase dinner and 2 drink minimum in addition to the price of the concert ticket. I knew this when I made the purchase but had no idea what the food was going to be like. - my meal was blackened Salmon. Which was good but a very small piece of salmon. The garlic mashed potatoes were ok however my veggies weren't steamed they were too hard. The entree was $42. No salad, bread or dessert option. I think this was very pricey for what I received. Despite what bothered me above. I had a great time after we moved our seats away from the stage and got to finish our meal with some elbow room. There isn't a bad seat in the entire venue so I am not sure why they cramped all the tables like they do. The space allows for lots of walking around so you can visit with friends- which I did. The venue is accessibility friendly. The entertainment was amazing and I have to mention all the staff working that night were very accommodating. They checked on me a few times. The staff Zoe, Ryan and Marco were all so very helpful. Including Robin the sound engineer-he was friendly as well. I will return if another act I want to see is playing at The Canyon Club. Now I know what to expect and can plan accordingly.

Before my most recent show, it was a venue I looked forward to visiting. However, it had been a bit of time since I was last at the club and things have changed. Unfortunately, after the show I attended on July 31, I may not be back. Please note that this review is for the venue only, not the show itself. While there is a large parking lot, and parking is free, it was very difficult to find a space. We drove around for about 15 minutes before we were able to see someone leaving a parking space that we could grab. On the day of the concert, the temperature was 100° F outside, or possibly a bit higher. When we arrived at the venue, we found that it does not have refrigerated air conditioning - just some fans. It was uncomfortably hot inside. If I had known this would be the case, I'd have brought a portable personal fan. It's hard to believe that a venue that holds up to 1,200 people does not have legit air conditioning. For those that would like a seat, you have to purchase dinner along with your concert ticket. The dinner selections are very limited and pricey. There is no longer drink service at the tables, so you must head to the bar for drink orders. Since the tables are packed so tightly together, this is not the most convenient situation for patrons. Also, if you use a credit card for your purchases, you will be charged an extra service fee. The bartenders Gus, Zack, and Lindsay were great. They provided friendly service and were a lot of fun. I felt bad that they had to endure the uncomfortable hot working conditions while taking care of everyone. I rarely leave a one-star review. It is really a shame that the club owners don't value their guests and artists to keep the venue comfortable. For the price of tickets, food, and drinks, we really deserve a better experience.

The bar. It's about 5 times as long as this section, yet they only use this small portion for serving.

This used to be my spot! If you like live music, be sure to check out their blues night. Get there EARLY! Camp out at the bar and save your seat because it's about to be standing room only. You can reserve a table in advance. If you miss a live music night, just purchase some points for the jukebox. Smoking section outside, no food, but feel free to bring your own. There's pizza, sushi, and sandwiches in the same plaza, so you're set! A staple of the valley! If you go, order a Dark and Stormy for me!

I actually had to walk out at one point because my ears felt like they were going to explode. I know they had a sound guy there, but the place is SO small, maybe not the best venue for a punk band. Ha! The barback here was so well dressed and sweet. Bartender was quick and friendly. Cocktails and wine selections are very meh, but I had a whiskey and that worked out for me. Lots of high top tables, a decent amount of seats at the bar, and a pool table. There is also a small patio if you want to hang outside. The Maui Sugar Mill is in a strip mall, so plenty of parking available!

Right from…read morethe start, we were welcomed by a friendly security guard at the entrance, which set the tone. Ladies, just a heads up, they do check your purses before entry, and there's a $10 cover per person. I highly recommend getting a table if you can. There's a minimum spend. For us, it was $125 for food and drinks, but it's worth it to have a spot to sit, relax, and actually enjoy the band and the view of the dance floor without hovering around. The live band was so much fun. Everyone was out there line dancing to both country and pop songs, and the energy was contagious. Even if you don't know the dances, it's still a blast to watch and soak in the positive high energy crowd. Next time, I'm definitely coming earlier to learn a few moves and fully join in. They have two food menus plus a drink menu. Food wise, it was decent. I ordered the ranch steak burger (cooked medium) with fries, and it was a good solid choice. The warm campfire chocolate cookie with vanilla ice cream was a nice sweet treat to end the night. Service is where this place really shines. From the security to the staff to even the guests, everyone was incredibly welcoming. You can tell there are a lot of regulars, and it creates this friendly, almost community like atmosphere. Our waitress (I didn't catch her name) was amazing. She was super attentive, constantly checking in, clearing the table, chatting with us, and just giving off the warmest energy while still being quick and efficient. Overall, the people truly make this place. Great music, fun crowd, and an all around good time. Already looking forward to coming back. Next time with better planning and maybe a few line dance moves ready

Best part is that you can request songs, so if you only know 5 songs so far like me, come early to write them on the list so that you're not just sitting on the sideline all night. The bar & food are pretty darn good. Solid nachos and french fries def good munchies while you're drinking and waiting for your next song! We reserved a table for a birthday on a Saturday, had to spend at least $350 for the booth. The food food was really good though, my favorites were the scallops. Cocktails and shots were served throughout the night, plus the booth had prime seating watching the dance floor. Overall a great place to celebrate!
