Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. A few weeks ago, I finally made it in for dinner for the first time, and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. I can't remember exactly which nights they serve dinner, but it's well worth planning a visit. My partner and I ordered several dishes to share, and every single one was a hit. We started with the burrata and prosciutto appetizer with pesto, which was incredible. Paired with a glass of wine, a cocktail, and the complimentary house-made salt and vinegar chips, it would make for a perfect happy hour on its own. For our entrees and sides, we ordered the half chicken, roasted carrots, and dinosaur kale salad. The chicken tasted like it had been slow-cooked all day--tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The roasted carrots were outstanding, and even the kale salad felt special and thoughtfully composed. To finish the meal, we shared the sticky toffee pudding, which was one of the most memorable desserts I've had in a long time. I'm diggin' this spot! The menu is simple, not a ton of different things to choose from but everything we tried was good! I got the crispy salmon for dinner and was delighted at the roasted veggies that came with it. The salmon skin was indeed crispy and flavorful. The sticky toffee pudding was excellent. We ordered one and shared. It was a good finishing bite of something sweet. My friends got the miso black cod and the Korean short ribs. Both were happy and raving about their food. We got there a little earlier and realized they open at 5 so we waited until then. Someone was in front of us without reservations and another worker asked if we had reservations and then seated us right away. Came in at 9pm on a Saturday (I hate being the people who come in close to closing), but we were treated so kind and so well taken care of by Gavin. He was great! Actually the best breakfast I've had at a restaurant. The interior is gorgeous throughout and feels like a hidden treehouse. Our waiter had the best, most helpful vibe and even brought me extra raspberry preserves they make in-house. I never eat the bread at restaurants, but the toast was perfectly crispy with melted butter on top. The bacon was some of the best I've ever had, and the eggs were delicious. We stopped by for a quick bite during Saturday brunch, and it was surprisingly efficient. We waited about 15 minutes for our table, which wasn't bad at all. While waiting, you can grab coffee inside the restaurant--and it was delicious. Once seated, we were greeted with an orange cake that was absolutely yummy! The ambiance was great, with a live DJ playing while we ate. We came on New Year's Day to find a busy restaurant. We often dine at the other restaurants in this plaza, but had yet to dine here. The setting is a large open air plaza with shops and other restaurants. We sat at one of their many outside tables. I never even went inside, but could see that inside the restaurant was well lit and comfortable with nice tables/chairs and a nice bar. I'm not one to drink alcohol in the mornings or even the afternoon, but did look over their extensive cocktail menu. The libations looked great. We ordered the Sunrose breakfast and a salmon flatbread. Both were excellent. Service was a bit slow, but it was hopping and we were not in any kind of hurry, so it was fine. Founders Marc and Carie Hernandez come from decades in the restaurant world and created this space to bring back what's been missing in a lot of dining experiences: real hospitality. This was one of the standouts as it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Whenever this is on a menu, I have to order it as it had become my obsession. *BREAD PUDDING: Banana, whiskey caramel, sultanas, brioche, and whipped Chantilly cream. Absolutely decadent! All of the dishes are very shareable, so order a few different things and taste a little here and there. The setting is casual but stylish, perfect for date night, catching up with friends, or treating yourself to something a little more special. Wow what a great place for brunch! The new place right next to wood ranch in agoura hills has both indoor and patio seating. It's nicely decorated and welcoming. They have a nice selection brunch favorites that's very California inspired. The entire menu items we got were delicious. My egg white omelette had crème fraiche in it which added a nice creaminess to it, definitely recommend it! Also, loved my espresso martini so much, I had to get another one. They are so good! The main downside of this place was the service. I think it can be understandable because they are new, but other than our orders, our server never checked up on us. Also, the host staff were friendly but they need a better system for queuing because if there's only one person, after you wait to get called, you can only wait back in the line to get seated again. The decor is beautiful and the staff are all super friendly. The food was amazing. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was oozing egg yolk which is what I love. I was literally in heaven and all my friends could tell lol. My friends all liked their food as well. Will definitely be coming back! After a stint at the Saturday Calabasas Farmers Market, out troupe was ready for brunch, so we headed west towards Agoura and ended up at Sunrose California Eatery. By the size of the crowd waiting for either an indoor table or outdoor table, this cafe must "be the place"! Their menu is very clean farm to table'ish [sic] cuisine, so everyone was happy I ordered their egg salad toast that was very good, but a bit short for the price I was paying. I left hungry and for me that's not a very good sign. Everyone else ordered plated "Hardier" than I did; so I was the odd man out. Would I come back here - absolutely. But I will (in the future) vet my order to my hunger ratio. Live and learn! read more

After exploring the other businesses in Whizen Square for ~25 minutes, my party was seated. The rosemary latte tasted like a plain latte, so I would skip on that. While I enjoyed my Sunrose Breakfast Plate, a few items were lower than a lukewarm temperature, like the sausage patty, mixed mushrooms, and charred tomato. Still, I really appreciate their use of local and fresh ingredients. Our seat in the main dining room also felt a tad crowded; we were about 1 ft away from two other tables. I was fortunate to attend a recent Yelp Event at Sunrose- and it was an amazing and generous experience all around. Another Yelp friend and I recently came for their pre-fixe meal. I really sold my friend on how well Sunrose harmonizes comfortable elegance with elevated food that crosses into many cuisines. The food is elegant, well prepared, but not fine dining fancy. The whole atmosphere here is comfortable, cozy and pleasant. It never feels too loud or chaotic even when the restaurant became full. The servers, although younger, were all so friendly and professional and attentive. I now need to come back for their brunch menu- most likely to try that Dutch baby. I miss eating at Original House of Pancakes- Gigantic German pancakes and Dutch babies. Parking- if you follow GPS, you'll see the front lot is quite small and you may feel discouraged.
