Definitely a lot of Pros and Cons for the new place. For the pros, it is so much cleaner!!! Let's be honest, before the floor and bathrooms were disgusting. The updated establishment is so much nicer and refreshing. The back area is also much improved and allows for more seating. Finally a lot of the random old decor is gone. Now for the cons. The food and drinks just aren't the same :( and to be honest, that's the main reason for coming here. Came on Taco Tuesday and sampled each. Chicken, carnitas and ground beef tacos. They are small street style tacos. Emphasize small because I inhaled them. I really miss the old tacos that happened to be more filling and cheaper. The meat now is also bland with little flavor. My wife had the PC's Cobb Salad which came out at first missing chicken. That was quickly remedied but was also not as filling as prior. Finally the service is okay. Still seems as if they are getting the hang of things but until they do this place will struggle. Let's be honest, Simi Valley residents have a certain expectation that I think this place is missing. Alcohol prices have drastically increased. My bill also came out inaccurate so had to rectify. Ps. It is no longer a Dallas Cowboys bar. It's a Raiders bar now :( We no longer have our hang out... Corri was nice overall and I wish her the best here. Hope my next visit will be better.

Management is a joke and their rules are not geared towards the customer. Have a special request for a drink or way its served or different glass good luck with that. Its clear why all the old patrons moved on to better bars. No longer has a cheers feeling where everyone knows your name.

Let's s talk about the food, very good for a Pub scene, food was plenty and came out hot. The fish and chips (what I ordered) were very good, crunchy outside and fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. Not greasy at all. All our entrees had the option of skinny fries or fat fries. The French Dip had plenty of moist beef in it with a great Au Jus, burger was cooked to perfection and the smashed chicken sandwich was amazing. Plenty of choices of beer featuring local breweries as well as the standard go to's. We got there before the dinner crowd got there and it filled in fast. The food and comfort, not so much. Dear Hubby and I had a late breakfast, so we weren't really that hungry. We decided to order a pastrami sandwich to share, which came with one side (we chose tater tots). DH also ordered a cup of chili as an extra side. BIG mistake. At $7.25 for cup of inedible chili, that was a bad choice. It was overly salty, and extremely greasy. They charged 50 cents for a tiny sprinkling of onions on top. Really? That was an extra insult, considering that we skipped the cheese on the sandwich, and we didn't get a deduction for leaving that out. Speaking of the sandwich - it was tasty and well-made, but was very skimpy on actual pastrami filling. Not a good value. The bill was $40 for a shared sandwich, one small draft beer, a generous glass of pineapple juice, and the terrible side of chili. Since eating out is getting so expensive, I always hope (and expect!) that dining establishments would put their best foot forward so that guests will like what they're serving and want to return. Another note - the chair that I was about to sit down on was so wobbly and in bad repair that I could have suffered a fall. I mentioned it to one of the servers. She thanked me, but made no effort to remove it from the floor. That's a potentially dangerous situation which went untended. I didn't see a manager on the floor or I would have called it to their attention. I dragged over a chair in better condition from another table myself. It's a sports bar. It's reasonably clean. The kitchen did them no favors today. We'll be looking for another place to go when the 49'ers aren't on national TV during this NFL season.

We go to wednesday night trivia because we love the quality of the quiz and we suffer through your food as a sort of "necessary evil" and you can accuse me of not approaching you personally when there was a problem with a meal but the fact of the matter is that I have approached your managers several times with issues (like when the iced tea had no flavor or the fries tasted like they were cooked in filthy oil or the chili breadbowl was stale) and those same managers (multiple) said that you weren't there and you didn't really care about the product the crown and anchor put out. you could have just apologized for my negative experience but instead you accused me of lying and slander. And just because you manage to stay in business doesn't mean that you are putting out good/consistent product.
