I had an okay experience at this nail salon. I went because my normal salon had a longer wait than I was willing to sit. The establishment itself is very nice, clean, and relaxing. The massage chairs felt AMAZING. But they charged me $3 extra for what appeared to be just a normal bottle of polish, nothing special about it. And it messed up 2 days later just because I wore heels. That's never happened at another salon before. I might come here again and try there shellac or dip powder depending on the prices. read more

This was my first time going , and absolutely my last! Not only was I knocked with the drill numerous times my nail technician "sammi" asked me 5xs (yes I counted) if I had shellac/gel on previously. I have done dip powder the last 4 applications. Then proceeded to call me a liar in Vietnamese( yes I speak the language ) aside from taking 3 hours for her to shape my nails the salon was clean, ladies please make sure your nail technician knows how to shape nails, I leave for vacation soon and sadly I'm stuck with nails I hate I almost cried. No one apologized , she didn't even apologize for cutting my skin and let alone burning my nail bed with the drill. She was very meticulous so the results came out nice but it did take 2.5 hours for me to get my mani and ped and I had no wait bc we made reservations. They did a great job on both. Went here with some of my friends for the first time a week ago. Got a gel - shellac manicure. The girl filed the ends of my nails AFTER finishing polishing them. I went on a vacation out of state so I have not been cleaning and messing up my nails and starting 4 days ago they started chipping! That was only 3 DAYS after I had them done. I called yesterday to see if they would fix them for free and they said yes. I went in this morning and more of my nails had chipped off. I asked if they could just charge me half for a gel polish change and they refused. I even explained how the girl filed my nails. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Do not pay for shellac here and honestly, I would not recommend after this. I will not be back unless their owner or manager reaches out and fixes this but I highly doubt it. I think i've gotten spoiled at Jasmine Nails and c&c nails. Borgata looks nice with lots of updated features, I just didn't feel the extra customer service was there. I was asked if I wanted anything to drink when I arrived. However. My pedicure was ok. I did the hot stone pedi for $45. Usually at the other nail shops that's included in the herbal and deluxe pedi for around the same price. Feet feel soft, but ok. Shellac manicure didn't use any water to soak my hands. The guy made me get up and wash my hands. Usually they are washed and cleaned for me. Also, I asked him to correct the shaping on one nail. I had to tell him for every single one instead of him just taking the time to check them all. Also, I wanted a certain color, and he almost seemed annoyed that I asked him for a separate color so I just opted for what I had. Also, I am pregnant, and he didn't help me pick up my shoes from floor or carry my things when I was done. Also, I had to stand in line when they handed me a ticket to turn to cash out, which I didn't really like. Usually, I can just pay the tech or the tech takes everything to the front. I didn't think this place was bad just not the best. I live downtown so I prob wouldn't go out of the way to come here unless I'm near the area. read more

I have went to this shop multiple times to see Krystal and she usually does a good job. However, my last visit with her felt rushed and looked very sloppy. During the appointment I had to keep pointing out bubbles and streaks on my nails. Strike one. Within an hour of me leaving my ring finger on my right hand the shellac polish started to peel off. So I went back and she apologized and fixed it. Was running errands so I had to stop what I was doing and go back. Strike two. Today the pointer finger on my left hand, the gel polish had peeled as well. Strike three. Spending 100 dollars this visit and this is what I got. Ontop of that i always get the same services and it seems they have increased the price. In addition to when my mom was getting her nails done the girl was really rough and the guy that did her pedicure rushed through her service and didn't even pumice her feet. The only good thing was my pedicure, the guy that did mine did and amazing job. I will not be returning. As I am seeing that they do a rushed half effort job and have had the nerve to increase the prices. Maybe she was having a bad day but as a paying customer I feel as if I waste my money. read more

I would love to give this nail salon 5 stars but there are some issues that the owners need to address. I'll address the positive first. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. The salon was clean, the technicians were friendly and very polite and attentive. The chair was comfortable and I was offered something to drink. The atmosphere was conducive for relaxation. The polish that was applied to my nails was thick and seemed old. The technician that took care of my manicure was not at all fluent in English and I had a very hard time communicating with him. I asked that he not cut my cuticles but rather just push them back. I closed my eyes and relaxed and the next thing I knew he was clipping my cuticles. The extra shoulder massage by him was not pleasant at all and I asked him to just stop. He didn't understand but I finally was able to get my point across and he stopped. I stayed a decent amount of time yet my nail polish had chipped by the evening. I paid 3 dollars extra for nail polish that would stay longer. I'm not sure I will go back to this salon. The pedicure was great. The technician was very knowledgeable and did a great job. read more

Been here for the eyebrow but made sometime today for a little pampering as I drove by. First time using their nail service and it was very professional. I had Nick and Leo and both have done an exceptional job. Felt safe with this entire covid thing going on. Staff wiped down everything and they make you wash your hands prior to picking your color when you walk in. All and all I think they did great. read more

I got a paraffin wax pedicure for $38 and a powder dip mani for $45. Prices are about $5 higher than where I go in Uptown Galleria but it's fine. I got a quality pedicure with wonderful leg massage and perfect manicure in exactly 1 hour. Not bad considering other manicures I get take about 1.5 hours minimum! The massage chairs work great, too! Of course, they brought in another nail tech and they tried to convince me that it was the lighting that made them look like that. The mails turned out fine but the pedicure was horrible. You can't even tell I got one. This is what me heels looked like after. It was over so quickly. It was $46 which is by no means the most I've paid for a pedicure but it is the worst one I have ever gotten. I thought about writing a review last week after my first bad visit but I decided to let it go and try to tell myself that it was one bad visit. However, today one of my dip powder polish fell off and I couldn't ignore my experience. I've been going to borgata for a while now and have generally enjoyed my experiences. I've continued going to them over nicer places that my husband pushes me to go to because I felt their experience was reliable. This past Wednesday, I went in for a mani pedi. My manicurist, Christy acted like she had somewhere else to be, she was speeding through my dip manicure. She cut me three times but I let that go. At the very end, she actually left me and had someone else finish my manicure while she went to start another customer but never actually said anything to me. Fast forward to 4 days later and my manicure is falling off. So disappointing Borgata. Update: one day after writing this review-I've had two other nails had the dip polish fall off. read more

Not pleased with my nail results, they don't scream professional, top notch or $35-worthy. The pictures are from a 2-day old gel manicure. When I left I knew I wasn't happy but figured the manicure would get me through for two weeks. WRONG! The nail tech was very nice but I just don't think she's qualified to do nails. I wear my natural nails but needed a tip on my thumb. She was asking what to use to apply the tip (red flag). She applied the acrylic then wiped it off but it got under the nail and dried. She attempted to drill off the excess but when I left it was still there. Im not able to return within the 3 days to have my nails corrected but had the manicure been done properly the first time, I wouldn't have to return. One nail tech shouldn't be the deciding factor that a nail salon sucks but he/she is certainly a representative of the business. I blame management for not ensuring that each employee does quality work. Management should ensure that employees are above par and not simply licensed to work. It's terrifying to walk in a nail salon and a random person does your nails, you need a personal recommendation these days! Very unfortunate. read more

I have been coming here for a couple of years for my Pedicures. I have never had any issues. A few months ago started using them for Solar Nails. The first time went well very satisfied. When I went in for the first refill it was not the best job. The manicurist was rushed and was s but rough in my nails. I had several bleeding cuticles by the time she was done. I wrote it off as a busy day and just moved on. Came back today needing the nails to be re done. I was going to make sure to tell her to be careful with the grinding tool but did not get a chance. She was talking with a coworker not looking at what she was doing and slipped and sliced my finger with the grinder tool. She apologized over and over and tried to stop the bleeding. I understand mistakes happen but I still had to pay for the full manicure. They could if at least given me a discount for cutting me. All techs are highly skilled--my faves are Ray, Sam, Ann, Joyce, and Ivy. They've done mani-pedis for me for regular days as well as special occasions, including my wedding. I usually get the exfoli-salt glow pedicure and shellac nails. They have an excellent selection of colors and the pedi offerings are great. I had quit coming to this salon because it was horrible however it's so close my house I decided to give it another try - big mistake. I called ahead to make an appointment, then when I showed up, on time, for the appointment the front desk staff told me I had a 20min wait. This is one of two main reasons I quit going to borgata. I could have made an appointment elsewhere and been taken immediately at the time of the appointment - totally unacceptable. If you do acrylic nails- don't get them here! It came out with thick acrylic nails and a huge huge dent in my nails. On one of my nails, I had to tell her to stop because it burned. Not every technician is great but they do good work if you need something done. Make sure you make an appointment at least 20min before you go just so you don't have to wait. I used to like to get my eyebrows done there but this last time they burned my skin with the wax. I now have a scar below my eyebrow.
