Though the 3 people working were slammed, they were churning out orders quickly and efficiently, fighting off the rush one drink at a time. It took about 20ish minutes to get my coffee, but after getting my hot lavender latte with oat milk, it was worth the wait. It was a very quality cup, and it was just what I needed to start my day. The shop is super narrow, but super cute and stylish. The roadrunner LED on the wall really added to the shop's character. Next time I'm in Lockhart, I'll go out of my way to get back to Chaparral. It seemed like he might also be the baker, and he was clearly very proud of his pastries, which made the experience even better. The bread and pastries were delicious, soft, and fluffy. I forgot the exact names of the items I got, but I picked up three: one without any filling, which was my favorite, one with cream inside, and one with chocolate. The first two had just come out of the oven, so they were still warm. The prices were also very reasonable. I really love supporting small local businesses like this, and I hope they keep doing what they're doing and get more attention. That's one of the main reasons I enjoy writing reviews for small local businesses and hopefully help promote places that deserve it.
