Their price was really high....$120. And then, after I informed them when I booked the appointment and when i dropped my 15 pound dog off , she was a squirmer they never mentioned surcharges. Pet owners beware: These people are irresponsible liars! They are rude, unprofessional, and could care less about your pet. Additionally, they are grossly overcharging for the most basic services. We've had two separate circumstances, where we asked for a simple accommodation for our senior dog. They fully agreed! However, upon arrival to pick up our dog, we discovered that they had ignored our requests, and argued that our dog was not the only in their shop. We were big fans of Bornagain Pet Salon, under the prior ownership. These new owners have ruined a good business! STAY AWAY! read more

By far the WORST grooming on my dog in his 11 years. Instead of actually grooming him like we paid over $100 for they just shaved him down to his skin. My teen daughter who picked him up was crying when I got home because of how bad he looked (essentially shaved down to look like a rat). My dog is a maltishon had has very curly hair that tends to matt, but never has a groomer shaved him down to his skin. Its obvious instead of taking the time to groom him they did a rush job and decided the fastest option was to just shave him. He was there for 5 hours for what was essentially a 10-15min shaving. As a result we will not be able to take him ouside during the day as his very pink skin will burn and he will be prone to skin infections until his hair grows back. Been using BornAgain for more than 4 years. Always good service & results to my 15 lb baby girl. However, recently, red flags began: Called to make appointment, left message, no one returned my call. Dropped my girl off for a simple TidyUp, they kept her for 5 hours!? This past Thursday, she was her happy spunky self when I dropped her off, but they kept her for almost 6 hours for TidyUp. When I picked up my baby, she couldn't/wouldn't open her eyes; I thought she was sleepy. At home, she tried to open her eyes, but she struggled. Eventually, that evening, she opened her right eye, it was fine; but the left eye was squinty & mucousy & her lashes were shaved off. I could see she was in pain. At bedtime, she opened her left eye long enough to see more: inner corner pure red, cornea cloudy!!!! Our Vet's office was closed, I used PetChat online to ask questions. Brought her to Vet early next morning. Diagnosis: possible Chemical Irritation causing Indolent Corneal Ulcer?!?! I don't know what happened at the groomer's, but this I do know: my baby girl is in pain, suffering, and not the same; I'm heartbroken. Vet appointment & treatment costly. Im not asking for reimbursement, altho I'm angry and sad. And scared to use any Grooming Service ever again at this point, no trust. This is my first dog and first grooming experience and I will never take him anywhere else. They listen to what I want, and treat Diego with care. They only do whats necessary and all the employees are super friendly and accommodating. Kate the owner is truly gifted in her craft, She knows what to do and does it well. She offered a lot of great advice on how to care for his coat. He's a bischon Tzu-chon mix so his hair is silky and mats easily. He always walks out in good spirits with a cute little dog bow on. really shocked & dismayed over how the staff or owner (not sure who- regardless it doesn't matter) dictated & scolded my mother for not bringing our very delicate and elderly poodle in since July. She expressed over and over again how it's a hassle to shave a dog with such loose skin.. as if our dog is a Sharpay.. our dog doesn't even have loose skin. Really she doesn't, it just seems to be an excuse to just cut her hair extremely short for winter which we didn't want.. regardless, the reason we didn't bring her in was because last time we brought her here, She took one look out the car window when we pulled up and collapsed in our front seat. We were looking for a mobile groomer but unfortunately haven't been able to find the right one so we brought our little girl here.. as we always do. I just don't appreciate being treated like a student or imbecile regarding something imaginary & not true. (The loose skin- I can and will provide photos of our dogs "extremely loose skin" which as I've stated is not loose in the slightlest & also I am rather unhappy and unappreciative moreso my mother being spoken to in a manner that is just inappropriate and unacceptable. From what I gather, the overall tone of the statements made we're trying to basically insinuate that it's not bringing our dog in since July was pretty much consistent with abuse or neglect, which is the farthest thing from the truth, and regardless of this is not what their intention was, they need to learn how to speak to people especially patrons who returned their business over and over again provide them with a good customer reviews on yelp almost every single time we got our dogs hair done, and it's just really rude and unacceptable to speak to somebody in a manner as if they are beneath you. Also really upsetting when we always get bows in her hair, we've been going here for sometime now, but they act surprised when we asked for bows during this past visit. We were told "we know you want orange bows for Halloween but we don't think we have them" So instead of getting two orange bows, we got two differently design orange bows. not that it's the end of the world, but it's just adding insult to injury, when you're literally dictating to my mother as if she is a child, and if you're not trying to treat her with that kind of regard, regardless the lack of customer service is unacceptable, you don't speak to customers in that way Next time we won't wait too long to bring our dog in, we just won't return here are become patron of a better and kinder groomer who actually values their costumers & their pets & will actually speak to us with tact & respect. Oliver has visited many dog groomers in RSM. They were all "acceptable". However, once we discovered Born Again, he goes nowhere else. They are very accomodating, and do a great job. We really appreciate the staff who are always kind to him, and he has never had a bad result. We vary the length of his hair seasonally, and they are always on top of which cut to use. Sometimes he goes in for a "tidy" and sometimes he gets a full bath and over all haircut. I tried doing his grooming myself a few times. Because of those experiences, I can really appreciate the service, and quality, offered at Born Again. I'm glad others are in the business, but for Oliver, this will continue to be where he remains a trim, and dapper, gentleman. read more

Very sad to be writing this as we used to love them but last 2 times something was not right about this place. This last time they shaved my dog down to the skin where they were bleeding and had to go to the vets for medicine and to make sure the wounds would not get infected. They also had my dog for 5 hours so not sure what they are doing with the dogs for that long. The assistants are not bad but the lady who runs the place doesn't like her job and I think that's why there are issues and safety protocols are not being followed. I unfortunately can no longer take my dog back here as the vet says this is not the first time they had to treat a dog after being at bornagain pet groomers. read more

If you can try to avoid this place please do so, my friend recommended me to come here and the way she got treated today was not professional I will be taking my business elsewhere. They told her she was not welcome back because her pets obviously have anxiety and they pooped. As someone who works in the vet field it does happen when they get scared. They should know this working with animals they are not humans and can't tell you when they have to go potty. It so terrible to hear how she was treated and now I'm scared if my pups will get treated the same or if they do when I take them in. Please everyone go somewhere else where your pets will be treated nicely, I fear what they do when we are not there. They also used bad language words in front of my under age child. read more

Horrible customer service. Rude and inconsiderate. They don't make your pet feel at ease at all! To top it off, they are cruel and rough with handling of the pets. My dog was anxious and was trying to hide behind me. The owner reached around me and pulled him by the hair!! The poor dog yelped so loud and she still continued to drag him by the hair. She tried to show me the dematting tool she uses, but was very rough when brushing him. It looked very painful. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

I brought my dog here 5 weeks ago. When he got home he was unable to move his back end. I brought him to emergency vet and was told he needed neurosurgery. I brought him to surgeon and he had a totally ruptured disc in his spine. He had surgery and luckily it was successful. We knew he would walk again several days later when we picked him up. We had to keep him kenneled for a month. He still wobbles, but improving every day. Surgery was extremely expensive, but he is a young dog so we were compelled to fix him. I was speaking with my neighbor yesterday and she used the same groomer, Bornagain. She told me the last time she brought her dog there he was unable to walk. She thought it was a problem with his leg and attributed it to the groomer tweeking it and was not too concerned. Then she brought him to the vet and was told he had a back problem. He is on anti inflammatories now. Bornagain must be using a bad technique to restrain dogs. There is no other explanation. In fact they told her that maybe it was the strap they put on his stomach. I urge anyone not to leave a loved pet at this groomer. It may be one of the last times you see your dog. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. read more
