I would give them negative stars if I could. There is literally a Petco a few miles away, and another Petsmart just down the road in foothill Ranch. The manager and associates of this store are beyond reprehensible soulless. They do not care at all about animals, animal, safety, animal, health, animal, welfare, in the slightest. Especially Cynthia, the store manager is absolutely horrific. The store manager, Cynthia, seemed entirely indifferent and uncaring about a dog that was in distress. I explained to her that I came to get an E collar, and only had my phone minimal cash and my rewards points. I was approximately one dollar short from the price of the E collar. Here's why she gets absolutely zero stars. She had the ability to reduce the price by one dollar. But she refused to do so. Until I showed her that chewy sells the same product for five dollars cheaper. Obviously, she had the ability to change the price, as she did as soon as I showed her the chewy app with the lower price. She could have looked at the situation, realized there was a dog in distress, realized that the store was closing in 5 minutes and I had no other alternative, in that I couldn't run home and get back in time, and just reduced the price by one dollar. Common sense customer service, when you're in a position of authority, seems to be entirely lacking of her minuscule and myopic brain. I have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars in their stores. Literally. I don't ask for a freebie or a pass on the amount due. it just seems to me that a reasonable person, in the same situation, empowered to make a discount which she obviously did, would see that I'm trying to help a dog that needs this item for its health and safety. Absolutely horrible I cannot describe how insufferable her attitude was I understand, your business that has rules, and you must collect every last pittance for the corporate bottom line. But she was empowered to make a discount, and instead of doing that, she decided to be belittle me, and basically make me feel like a f*cking degenerate. My advice, go to any other pet store. The store does not deserve our hard earned money. They do not live by their own corporate values. as stated on their corporate website, passion for pets, customer first, do what's right. They did not meet any of these core corporate values in the slightest. This store does not care about customers, nor does it care about pets nor doesn't care about doing what is right. If Petsmart corporate has a liaison, which reads these reviews, maybe talk to your store manager, Cynthia, and discussed the situation. I'm sure she will remember the transaction. There are 1000 different ways she could've handled this better, instead she chose the corporate bottom line over a pet over a customer and overdoing what's right. One last thing that I forgot to mention... Not only is this a dog that is in distress, and needs an E collar, but the dog, is my SERVICE ANIMAL!! , yes Register registered with the city as an assistance animal, trained, and prescribed / supported in writing by my doctor. I hate to say it, but not some fake service animal, but an actual service animal. Yes, I have a disability, and yes, the animal helps me with the disability. Yes she performs specific tasks related to my disability. But none of this is at all important to Petsmart. Petsmart, you get zero stars. read more

Behold. Doodle cut by PetSmart. Yes, his hair was long and there were a few areas that were matted. But this is pure laziness. They didn't wash/dry/brush his hair before cutting it (common practice for any professional groomer) which made it impossible for the clippers to go through his hair. So they elected to just shave him. I know this because they called me immediately after dropping off to let me know they started to cut him and wanted my okay to move forward since they would have to cut it short. At that point, the damage was done. And what in the world is going on with his tail?? Who does that? Never ever again. read more

1) kids here are not properly trained on how to do a return for a buy-online in-store pickup order. They will try to call it a non receipt return and give you store credit even though you have the receipt on your phone for the online order showing you paid with your credit card. 2) Can't properly shop an online / pickup order. They will say your item is out of stock even if there's lots of them available in store because they don't know how to properly search for items. You then have to walk into the store and still buy the item yourself since they canceled it from your order. 3) Very rude and entitled employees. Minimum wage teenagers giving minimum effort. Although I would say that the minimum wage they're getting paid is way too high for their horrible attitudes. I made $6.75 at their age and treated people with a lot more respect! They literally just roll their eyes at you and walk away when you are voicing a concern. No customer service skills. Poorly trained. 4) My dog and I commonly walk through puddles of urine when trying to shop in the store. This is bound to happen when dogs are allowed in the store and I understand that, but I don't know if they staff enough people to keep it clean or maybe the employees are just lazy about cleaning up the messes. The only positive thing I can say is that when I did call and talk to the store manager, she seemed to care about the customer experience. At least one person has their head on straight. This was my first experience with PetSmart Grooming in Rancho Santa Margarita, and it was extremely disappointing. I was never told before my appointment that I needed to bring my dog's rabies vaccination certificate. Because of this, I had to leave and come back, after already taking time off work. The most disappointing part was how the situation was handled by the salon manager, Caitlyn. She admitted that her staff had given me incorrect information, but made no effort to fix the mistake or accommodate me. Instead, I was simply told to reschedule, with no consideration for the time I had already lost because of their error. When I explained that I had already taken time off work, driven home to get the vaccination record because of their mistake, and returned to the salon, I asked that they honor my original appointment. Instead of trying to help, Caitlyn repeatedly told me to leave and stop insisting. I felt like I was being pushed out of the store rather than treated as a valued customer. I expected professionalism, accountability, and respect for a customer's time. Instead, I felt dismissed and disrespected. I hope PetSmart takes this feedback seriously and improves both staff communication and customer service. read more

I went to two local PetSmart stores. At the Rancho Santa Margarita site, the staff told me he can only sell me TWO golden fish if I purchased 20 gallon tank or ONE gold fish for a 10 gallon tank. I asked at least 4 of them. They said this is the policy. Unless I prove I have a big tank, they won't sell me. This is ridiculous. How do they know I won't change tank if the fish grows big? I went today for an appointment. I apologized for being late. The lady asked me to go sit and wait outside the room which I did for 10 minutes. They were running behind as clearly they had taken on too many dogs. That said I knew my dog would have only have been sat waiting in a cage anyway so I figured it was therefore good I had arrived a little later. Last year we had a hummingbird that came to feed on some garden plants, so we wanted Paisley to have a friend from last year. I found and bought the bird feeder. As far as pet stores go, I guess this one is pretty average. I came in here looking for new bowls for Bandit... since he cant be bothered with the expensive water fountain I bought him... I end up wasting a ton of water and its a huge pain in the backside to clean every week. I was able to find bowls, but they were taped down to the holders... which... when you have a bowl for an animal (or human), why do you have to seal it down with so much tape I have to take 30 minutes to get it off? Its so frustrating. Then I am left wondering what is still stuck on there, and if its going to get in my cats body. He has enough health issues as it is, it was just really frustrating. As far as holiday related toys (Christmas, Hanukkah, Valentines Day, Halloween) this store is 99.9% geared towards dogs... another bummer. The staff here is ok. One guy is friendly, but can never answer a question. He always has to ask someone else. And everyone else, doesnt really seem to want to be bothered to answer. Do NOT buy the Purina One Plus or anything from this brand. The packaging is horrible and the moths eat it like crazy. I reported it to a worker by the name of Adam and he had nothing left to say. Then I asked Georgia to notify management and she said she would. I'm going to follow up with this in the morning, as I had two bags of dog food ruined with moth larvae but yet they wouldn't give me credit for the first bag, as I had thrown it away, and they wouldn't give it to me because I didn't have the bag with me. The store is generally clean, with the exception of just outside the front doors occasionally freshly marked with dog urine, which understandly happens. It's also quite spacious with a lot of inventory, which will keep me coming back (even with their higher prices) along with their convenient location just off of Avenida De Las Flores. They also have tons of parking, which is always a plus in my book. The regular prices at Petsmarts can be a little pricey, but their sale prices can be pretty decent. When we had our cat we often took advantage of their sales on the large boxes of Arm & Hammer cat litters which beat the local Target sale prices. I also try to stock up on the multi-pack fish vacation feeders when they're on sale too. Otherwise I pick up livestock fish, aquarium plants, fish food and Hill's Prescription Diet dog food here on a pretty regular basis at their higher prices simply out of convenience. It ends up being more cost and time consuming for me to drive out to our local Vet Hospital in Yorba Linda just to pick up more dog food. My fish have been munching away on my aquarium plants, so it may be time to pay them another visit very soon. read more

This review is for their training --puppy class. Marissa, our trainer, has been nothing short of great. She is so positive and patient with all the puppies in class. The dogs all really like her! They all listen to her well. She always explains not only how to teach something but why she is teaching it that way. She will give extra attention to dogs who are struggling while still challenging the puppies that are getting certain commands quickly. She is so helpful even with advice for how to work on issues at home. She really loves the dogs, makes it fun for everyone, and gives owners confidence. I have to admit we signed up for petsmart since it was a good value and figured it was just a puppy class so it was ok if the trainer way just OK. Well Marissa has far exceeded our expectations and I'd recommend her puppy class to anyone. I'm sure she's great with other classes as well but I haven't been through those yet. Just thought she deserves a shout out and hope management knows she's awesome! read more

He is very helpful and Deserves to get paid MUCH more because of the fact that he has been there since 1994.
