We proceeded to the unit outside where we took the cover off and he stated everything was working fine, and he would give me a report to give my real estate agent. While finishing up, Jonathan told me there would be no charge but to sign the form stating the service was done. I offered him some beer as a thank you. He took several 6 packs, and proceeded to have several while chit chatting in my drive way with me. A couple months later, Jonathan has moved on to another job, and I all of the sudden owe the company money for an inspection. Jonathan claims he cannot do anything as this is what the service cost, even though I was told it would cost nothing and he took beer as a thank you for coming by and checking regardless. The billing department says they have no control over Jonathan, even though this is a small operation where Jonathan is the son to the owner, and I will be forced to pay. They will not help communicate with Jonathan, the owner, or try and make any compromise because of the terrible lack of communication and poor professionalism by their employee. Steer clear of this business as there are some obvious communication and ethical issues going on behind the scenes.

On installing a new gas line for my grill they got the connectors backwards and left the shut-off valve in a wobbly unstable condition. when I called them back they back out to fix the install they charged me another three or four hundred dollars to finish the job. My fan motor quit--the price was 800 dollars for a "Kit" since they said the motor itself was not available. This was many times what the motor itself would have cost. After several calls concerning one of my air conditioners not keeping up they found nothing wrong. A week later when one of them obviously was working poorly They sent a tech out who "cleaned" both units and pumped 5 pounds of freon into both compressors at $100 per pound. After paying almost $800 we were in worse shape than before. When they left neither of the air conditioners worked correctly or at all. That night it got to over 80 degrees upstairs while the downstairs unit couldn't maintain temperature as well. My out of town guests had to go to a hotel to be able to sleep. The next day I had Lee company come in and take a look. The two units were leaking freon badly and should never have had any freon put in to failing systems. During the latter episode they were unresponsive to my calls and e-mails. I only heard from them again when they queried why I had cancelled their check for the $800. I sent another check for the full amount and asked if they felt that they should cash it --having gone over the litany of events surrounding the most recent weeks. Well, they did cash the check and just today I got a letter from their book-keeper to refund their original bank fee of $35 for the first check being cancelled. All in all signs of things getting off course for a firm that I had felt good about for more than 25 years.
