Mark literally bent over backwards to help us diagnose and fix the issue. I kept thinking "can you imagine if we had purchased through Best Buy and tried to get help 18 months after the purchase?" On the positive side, the in-store experience was pleasant. I knew exactly which TV model I wanted, and the salesperson was friendly and efficient in getting everything checked out and scheduled for delivery. My only feedback on the purchasing experience is that the store prominently advertises "lower in-store prices" on every page of their website, yet I discovered after my purchase that I had paid more than the online price. To their credit, the manager refunded the difference when I pointed it out, but the website claim feels disingenuous and highlights a communication gap within the company. The real issues began with the TV mounting service. When purchasing the TV, I made it clear I did not need any outlet run or extra electrical work--just a straightforward mounting. Unfortunately, the installers drilled unauthorized holes in my accent wall and ran the TV's power cable behind the wall in a way that violates Fairfax City electrical code (NEC 400.8 is clear on this point). While they insisted this is "common practice," it's still a liability issue and something that should have been discussed with me first. Especially when drilling holes into a customer's accent wall where an unsightly wall plate was not wanted. Additionally, the wall plate installed under the TV was secured improperly--directly into drywall instead of using a bracket--meaning it will eventually loosen and fall out. For the hole they drilled behind the TV, they installed no wall plate at all. They also left the work area messy: drywall dust on the mount, dusty handprints on the back of the TV and the power cable, and marks on my freshly painted accent wall. Most disappointing, they scratched the back of the TV on both sides while installing the mounting rails. While the store refunded the installation fee after I raised these concerns, they never truly acknowledged the poor workmanship or the code and liability issues their install practices created. I spent far more time fixing the aftermath than I would have if I had mounted the TV myself--and my TV now has blemishes that reduce its resale value which the store also refused to acknowledge. Overall, while the purchase started well, the installation was the worst I have experienced. A company's true colors show in how they respond to legitimate concerns, and unfortunately The Big Screen Store fell short. I hope they take this feedback as an opportunity to improve communication, installation standards, and accountability.

They have a wide variety of used items as well as several very fine lines for which they are certified dealers. They run the audiophile gamut in terms of price. As an example, they have the basic Project Debut all the way up to a Clearaudio Reference Master. I was pleased with the candor of their advice. For example, they urged me not to replace certain items because what I have is already plenty good. Many stores would have tried to sell more stuff rather the help the customer get it right and save money. Three separate times they gave me advice or a solution that involved no money changing hands. They also listen. How a person hears is like a fingerprint. We're all different. I told them the type of sound I enjoy and they tailored systems extremely accurately to my preference - and told me several times that I would not like certain expensive items so not to bother. Bottom line: it was about the customer sharing their joy in listening, not about moving boxes. Be prepared to spend some time if you visit. Between the beauty of their inventory, the joy of listening to beautifully reproduced music, and the infectious enthusiasm of the staff, time tends to fly. He re-attached the belt that drives the turntable and bingo, it now worked. Not only did he fix it, he gave me some pointers on how to extend the life of it AND how too connect it to existing equipment in my house. Now the best part, he didn't charge 1 penny, smiled and was happy to take care of it, Need I say more than I will always go too Jon for any electronic needs, nope, he's my guy from now on.

Wife's 5 month old Samsung S21+ screen wouldn't turn on…read more Fearing the worse especially during an extra long holiday weekend, I called uBreakiFix on Saturday evening and they were able to fit us in Sunday afternoon. Dropped off the phone about 1pm and by 4pm it was back working 100%. Didn't cost a us anything since it was under warranty. Appreciate how easy they made it and how quickly they got the phone working again.

visited the store and was told that they could not fix my phone under warranty due to couple of…read morevery minor dimples on the flex glass that comes installed from factory. this dimples are at the very top corner of the screen which they found after looking with zoomed camera under a light. they will not honor any factory warranty by samsung giving you a BS reasons not to cover it so they can make more money. such as getting money from the extended warranty if you have any plus the deductible. after having the phone for 11 months, who doesn't have minor scratches or couple of dings on their phones. they will not honor factory warranty unless it's in prestine condition like just out of box. they are getting away with it since they are the only authorized repair facility to samsung. don't get your hopes up on getting your phone fixed under factory warranty because they'll find a way to deny you

I started talking to Dave. He said he was scheduled for overseas travel, but he had an Atoll integrated amp on the floor. I said that's what I want (having an Atoll CD player that has been terrific). He came to my house and set it up on the evening before hiss flight. Problem solved. That's what I call going way out of the way. JS remains JS all these years. I don't think one could do better.

I pay my first payment with a card $254. Then try to my credit card on my phone. That card is strictly credit . I don't have a pin. Well it doesn't go thru so he says hit cancel and try again. I try again and it doesn't go thru. I tell him we will have to cancel the transaction until a further time. He tells me well I'm not sure if I can do that. Let me call help desk. He calls the help desk and says they canceled it. But he then shuts down the work register. He never gave me a receipt, email or any type of cancellation form. He told me oh you weren't charged. But I check my account and I was charged $254. I only have some type of register log saying I spent $254. I've been shopping at GameStop for 15 plus years. Never have I ever got done bad this way. This guy constantly kept slamming stuff and being angry with me when I did nothing. I'm a customer. I've never been so scared to go back to a store.
