Called to inquire if they could promptly decommission (fully remove) an existing wet sprinkler…read moresystem (exterior pump and holding tanks, pipes, sprinkler heads) in a house I had purchased 6 weeks prior. System had to be decommissioned before any other renovations could take place. They performed site visit on 5/28/26, agreeing work could be done. Didn't hear from them...Alarm monitoring had already been cancelled. I hired someone else to do demo work. My plumber cut the water line 6/3/26 and I began draining tanks myself. June 9, they finally called to tell me they're still working on an estimate. I advised I only needed system depressurized as everything else is done. I accepted estimate over the phone without reading itemized billing. June 18, my electrician cuts power to the system. June 25, they finally come out. Their electricians spend 5 minutes cutting dead lines. Their tech spends less than an hour to disconnect 2 sprinkler heads (twist off with common wrench), drain one bucket of water (plastic garbage can), hook up a vacuum pump, and unnecessarily reconnect sprinkler heads. When I go to pay invoice, I notice 8 hours labor charge @ $175/hr, $500 parts charge, and $520 subcontractor charge. I pay $750 and explain how that is reasonable given work actually performed. Received demand invoice for remainder, which I paid by the way, because I am ethical despite other people/companies obviously operating in more unscrupulous ways.
