I'm visiting hanai family from Honolulu this weekend. My friend booked us from Groupon for their 3:30pm 2 hour+ whale watching Tour. I've lived in Honolulu for 20+ years as well as Maui. We've been on several Whale Watching Tours and this one is hands down the very best I've personally ever been on! The staff are so awesome!! The captain driving the large Catamaran vessel is so informative also knowledgeable about whales. He talks to you overa microphone the entire time. Also, shout out to JJ behind the bar for serving our margaritas with a nice warm welcoming smile and Aloha. We appreciate you guys! Next outer island visit, we'll have to visit you folks again. They went above and beyond for us! I called to get prescription goggles 15 minutes before they closed one night and Kayla was amazing. She rang up the sale and allowed us to pick up the items after hours. Unfortunately we went to the wrong location to pick them up but they were still open and helped us get the right goggles and all was well. They refunded our money and were so kind about our mix up. We rented snorkels but the lady we rented from was everything but friendly. Asked a simple question about a sea snake I saw and responded "Oh I don't bother paying attention to that so many things out there." Weird attitude to have when you work at a snorkel rental place. She wasn't very helpful about giving snorkel reccomendations and seemed very pissed off with my questions. We rented snorkel gear and it worked so I guess that went well. It has a nice location and is right off a bay with lots of exotic fish. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!! Store employee was horrible service, creepy and over charged us. We requested a 2 day rental. He charged us for a week - a $40 overcharge! We asked for a price adjustment, he shrugged and said "I don't know what you want me to do." We demanded a refund - and had to demand he do it in front of us. Did I mention super creepy. We would NEVER recommend anyone rent from here. We went down the street to Snorkel Bob's - amazing customer service, friendly and less than half the price! She gave us maps, info, and she said MULTIPLE PEOPLE COMPLAIN about Boss Frogs!!! Trust us, don't go here unless you want creepy, horrible service and to be royally ripped off! read more

The guy working the shop was super nice, but that's all the good I can say about the experience. We rented 5 sets of snorkel gear and they were all trash. We're pretty experienced but couldn't get any to work without significant leaks or looking through scratched goggles. Also, they advertise a price but then ask if you want the crappy stuff for that price or the good for more. Paid more, still got crappy. read more

I snorkeled at the Beach House our last day there and really wanted my boyfriend to at least experience some of what I saw there. He broke his ribs so couldn't do much. I got a float belt here so he could just float out and see fish and then float back in. It worked! The guy was really nice and helpful and was really easy to talk with. Don't yell at your customers to stay off the carpet and complain about how much you've swept the sand. It's the beach and sand happens. Be courteous and kind to people and not an a$$hole. What a cranky dude. Be nice to customers even when they are difficult. You get nowhere if you are mean and nasty. I own my own business and I have had quite a few encounters where I took the high road and was nice even though the customer was unreasonable. read more

5 stars because the price was right! $15 to rent a nice boogie board for the whole week. We stayed in Poipu beach so this location was very convenient! The low rating is for customer service - 1st experience: June 21st I was quite annoyed by the timeshare/tours sales pitch I had to wait through TWICE (for customers before me) before even being acknowledged. Had I known.. HAD I KNOWN about their competitors, I would've left along with the two other groups who were being equally as ignored. We kept tossing glances back at each other like "is this really happening?" The one lady put down all the items she had collected to purchase and walked out. The other couple, a few moments later, slipped back the snorkel gear they were likely going to rent and left as well. I should have followed suit. I didn't expect her to drop her sales pitch and help us. I do expect to be acknowledged since it was a good 15 minutes standing there just a couple feet away. "Thanks for coming in! I'll be able to help you in just a moment." ANYTHING. 2nd experience was exactly the same. June 24th I had to exchange the strap because it kept coming undone but luckily I came in at the tail end of only one spiel. Same thing though. A small three-person group left as I was waiting. I will not rent again from Boss Frogs simply because of this. They obviously don't need the business from people uninterested in timeshare meetings or tours. read more

Overall not a single issue. We came in around 10AM on either 10/25 or 10/26/19. The guy working was super friendly. Had plenty of options in equipment. Sized both of us quickly and had us out the door to snorkel. Prices were great. Gave us a few pointers. We hit the beach literally 10 feet from the door for an hour or two then down the road as well. Had no issues. Next time we will definitely just rent at the week rate for a better deal now that we've seen the island. read more
