Every dish was prepared with such love and passion. You can tell the people here not only love what they do but are passionate about the food they are feeding their clients. Each ingredient is fresh, sourced properly, ensuring that the end product is of the best possible quality. We came here on a Saturday evening and the service was amazing. My family and I were genuinely excited to visit Boteco Bossa Nova to watch the Brazil World Cup match. I was fully aware of--and completely fine with--the $15 admission fee per person. I was happy to pay it so my two young kids could experience the energy of watching a Brazil match surrounded by fellow Brazilians. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable night for our family turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had. We were among the first four tables to be seated, so we expected service to be smooth. My wife placed our order in English because I had lost my voice, and that's when things started to go downhill. It took more than 30 minutes just to receive our drinks. No one checked on us--not once. After an hour of waiting for our food, we noticed that every other table around us was receiving their orders, including groups who arrived well after we did. Still, no one came by to update us or even acknowledge the delay. I finally approached someone to ask about our food, only to be told that the items we ordered were unavailable. The waitress who took our order never returned to inform us, never apologized, and never offered alternatives. At that point, we simply got up and left. What was supposed to be a fun, cultural, family‑oriented night became an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. If you plan on going here, I strongly recommend that you only speak Portuguese to ensure you actually get served. read more

We wanted to try something new. We google and yelp for restaurants near by... and Bodss Nova Boteco pop up. Not too many reviews but has good reviews so we decided to give it a try and we were not disappoint. We were one of the first table ( early dinner ). Our server were very nice. The food is delicious. We had the Grilled Picanha Platter for 2. While sitting here waiting for our check. The owner Mr Ray and his wife came over and introduced themselves and brought us a little special treats..drinks on the house. It was delicious and we will definitely be back. read more

Boteco Bossa Nova, Congrats on your Grand opening on May 30th. I saw they were opening while following them on IG, & I knew I just had to visit. Love the vibes here. First things first is the music. Loved it and it instantly put me in a great mood. Love the decor, I totally got into it and felt like I wasn't in Florida anymore. Our server was nice along with the other people working there making sure we were good to go. We ordered the chicken croquettes(Coxinha). This we were very familiar with. We also ordered the beef filet with madeira sauce and it comes with fries. Food took some time, but once we got it, it was so good. Loved our lunch here. A friend found this place looking through reviews, and man what a find. It's the first time I eat at a more "authentic" Brazilian restaurant. Their Passion fruit caipirinha is a must. We shared the picanha platter for four, and it is more than enough food for four people. It came with two bowls of rice, a bowl of black beans and a bowl of Farofa. The taste was out of this world. The service, even though it was just one employee there was fantastic. On top of that I felt like I was in Brazil with all the Brazilian memorabilia and decorations inside. This place is a treat for a great price. Will definitely have to come back to try more stuff. read more

Run, don't walk here! If you want the best Brazilian food you can imagine then look no further than this wonderful restaurant. After living in Florida for 30 years I was finally transported back home. You really cannot go wrong with anything you choose here. From the drinks, fresh juices and appetizers to the delicious main dishes, everything was top notch. The desserts were so fantastic that we couldn't help but take seconds to go home and eat again. This is Brazilian food and hospitality done the right way and without needing a passport to experience the authenticity of it all. The mini turnovers are the best. Light, flaky, easy to eat. The food is great. 20% Tip is already factored into the bill so be mindful of that before you want to get into an argument. It says so on the front of the menu. The waitstaff are super nice and the ambiance is laid back. The passionfruit mousse is very fragrant and the flan is very dense. The flan reminds me of a Basque cheesecake texture wise. If you want a light and refreshing dessert pick the passionfruit mousse. You want something indulgent, get the flan. read more

Travel to Brazil without leaving Florida! A couple nights ago some very good friends invited me to one of their favorite restaurants/pubs, Boteco Bossa Nova in Pinellas Park. I must admit I am a Midwesterner so I have not experienced Brazilian food, but as an adventurous "foodie" I was eager to try it while entrusting my palate to my friends and the wonderful staff at Boteco Bossa Nova. Upon entering I was greeted by welcoming staff and customers. It felt more like entering a family reunion for distant relatives I had yet to meet. This night, I was treated to a musician introducing me to the traditional heartfelt songs of the Brazilian people. The atmosphere included all ages from couples, to families celebrating a teenagers birthday to a young lady (probably around 5-6 years old) who danced all night to the songs. I was able to experience my first Caipirinha (a traditional Brazilian drink, think the best Margarita, you have ever had and then go far better). Be careful this smooth drink will taste more like fresh made limeade and will sneak up on you! After some amazing appetizers I was finally able to experience Picanha! If you peruse Youtube you may be familiar with it, this steak is a rump cap, commonly compared to ribeye. However, as opposed to random nodules of fat spread throughout a ribeye, think of a beautiful cap of prime fat covering this immensely beefy, tender cut that when reverse seared continuously bastes the steak to flavorful perfection. Being a Midwesterner (from Kansas City) I am picky about the quality of my steak and the Picanha surpassed all expectations! We had ours served with rice, a great salsa and garlic paste (which you add at your desire, not overwhelming but provides a very nice umami balance). To finish the meal we had fried yucca, again a new experience for me. And to the Brazilians and fellow South Americans please forgive me for my elementary explanation of what I enjoyed. These crispy chunks of what reminded me of an amazing tasting potato (yucca is a root as well) was a far more flavorful and crispy then the best tater tot! Everyone in the restaurant was welcoming and loving, a very passionate group craving to share their culture and food.
